Jessica (3/5): - The website states that the airport shuttle runs 24 hours. We arrived at 11:30pm (later, I know) but anticipated being able to shuttle to the hotel. Many other hotel shuttles were going, but not theirs.

Breakfast was not well supplied and very crowded. We came down to breakfast to find they were out of oatmeal and coffee. We asked about both. Never got any oatmeal. We ended up going to Starbucks for breakfast.

Was very disappointed on day of checkout....we had taken some luggage down to vehicle and went for breakfast stil had things in room and while we were at breakfast the cleaning ladies had started cleaning our room and had bagged all of our items that were still in the room. We had not even checked out yet as it was only 8:30 a.m. When went to our room to make sure we had not forgotten anything the cleaning ladies, who did not speak English, looked at us like we should not be in our room. This was very, very discouraging.

We ended up forgetting a bag. The front desk service was amazing at grabbing it, logging it into "I Left My Stuff". Forgot the bag Sunday night and was on my front step my Tuesday afternoon. Thanks for the help!

Shawna (5/5): It worked for what we needed - Location Overall the bulding is very outdated, the room stuck like it was old, the mattresses are absolutely terrible. At this price point, the bed should not be janky and squeak when you move. The suite was TINY!!! We literally had to rearrange the furniture and put it in the other room so we could use the pull out couch. I had to provide my name and room number just so I could get 3 more towels when I made the reservation for 4 people for 2 nights and they gave us 3 towels total….i mean duh, of course I need more towels. The staff just kind of were blah with zero personality and if I was staying at the Ritz would have understood it their uptight personalities but this was far from it.
Larry (7/5): Still Upset! - The hotel was very nice and the room was comfortable. Was not aware that their definition of pet friendly included a $75 non refundable pet fee. Our small dog (3.8 lbs) never sheds or goes to the bathroom in the house or a hotel room. She will wake me up when she needs to go out. I asked the desk clerk if I would get a refund if there is nothing wrong with the room after we left, the answer was no. The fee is to have the room somehow cleaned top to bottom Incase there was any issues. There were no issues. Still upset about the ridiculous amount. The previous night hotel charged $9.00 for a pet fee.

I go to Des Moines twice a year to visit my daughter and thought I had found a convenient place to stay again. Given this experience, I will never stay at this property again. Shame on the the Des Moines airport property management team - shame. :-(

Henry (10/5): Nice quick getaway - We came in for an Iowa basketball weekend and the hotel was quiet, food was good and the beds were comfortable. Great value for the money. They were very accommodating for shuttle service to and from airport.
