- Jiayi (4/5): Small room and not much available - This hotel doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. The room is extremely small which I get in Europe. It is clean. But the shower and washroom are outdated. The breakfast buffet didn’t have lots of option for 35 euro.

- Denis (6/5): Not impressed - We advised the Hotel that we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and the Hotel did not acknowledge. Our room was very nice and comfortable but the hallways were terrible. The carpets were old and dirty. The common areas are not well kept. Marble is dull and looks dirty. Entrance is dark, unkept and unwelcoming. Definitely is not a 5 star hotel and is barely a 4 star at best. One day, we were out all day and our room was not cleaned when we returned at 15:00z

- Alexandra (10/5): - What a gem; exquisite in every regard! The charm of this hotel exceeded hopes and expectations. All requests were met with a speedy, positive response, as if we were family. And, indeed, the owner’s daughter (absolutely charming herself) indicated that this is their goal. Don’t miss the opportunity for a perfect stay in Paris!

The inner courtyard allows light in the rooms but can be loud with cars, rolling suitcases, groups and motorcycles if you stay on a lower floor. The gym is small. It is a former house which provides some charm but it operates more like a house, than a hotel. Some front desk staff could be more helpful and knowledgeable.

Lots of used room service trays stay in common parts for too long. Staff use same lifts as guests with big trolleys Street side is noisy with some construction early. Maid and turn down service so wonderful. I’m not sure I liked the toilet being so far from any sink. The double sink was nice but was leaky. Location perfect. Close to the louvre etc. but near great restaurants a bit away from the crowds.

Improvement can be made in terms of staffing at the breakfast room which receives a rush of people it really can’t handle.

- Elisa (8/5): - The service wasn’t that friendly, the junior suite we got wasn’t as pretty as pictured and the WiFi is terribly slow. I couldn’t even load YouTube short videos or instagram reels. It was basically enough to check email. I would not recommend the breakfast service; it was very understaffed, pretty limited spread and just not worth the money. For the pros, it was an amazing location, the suite was clean and nice with a narrow terrace. The bed was comfortable. The overall hotel aesthetic was nice but it did not feel homey because the service was so cold (adequate but definitely don’t expect smiles or warmth). To me, this was a 4 star experience but I expected 5 stars so a little disappointed but our stay was fine. I probably would not return though.
- Brian (10/5): - I loved everything about this property! Hotels are my love language and I fell in love with Hotel Alfred Sommier. I spent one week here with my mom and aunt on what was a bucket list vacation for us! The hotel is dripping in authentically Parisian style, from the gorgeous hardwood floors and wooden windows to the elegant decor and inviting lobby/salon. Particularly impressive was the warmth of the Hotel's CEO who is a direct descendant of Alfred Sommier himself. With effortless charm and charisma, he enlightened us with the history of the hotel which is quite fascinating as the hotel is the Sommier's former family home originally built in 1890. The mansion now houses all of the modern conveniences that guests of luxury properties would expect. The location in the 8th arrondissement was was perfect and very walkable to all of the major attractions in this beautiful city! I loved it and with any luck will return time and time again! Thank you Hotel Alfred Sommier, it was a memorable experience!
- Sharmishtha (4/5): - The property was lovely, clean and impressive. I chose this based on the recommendations of how attentive the team are to your needs. I was celebrating my birthday during my stay and had requested some ideas on what to do as this was not my first time in Paris. Sadly - I never felt looked after, nothing special was done to recognize or acknowledge this. One hotel staff did finally at least recommend a place for dinner. I have plans to return next year with a larger group for a another important celebration and had the intention of returning but will not.

Garden area was spartan with no flowering plants. Dining room is small and has minimal natural light. Breakfast is 35 euro per person.

It was hot, and they said they don’t turn on the AC in March. After flying in, We wanted cool and quiet but construction was going on in the room next door, and it was very noisy. Overpriced, not comfortable!

The excellent and attentive staff (Clemence/Manager; Maeva/Concierge; Henri and Ghalia/Front Desk) were so lovely, joyful and kind. I ate dinner in the beautiful restaurant with DELICIOUS food and equally lovely and attentive service! My room was dreamy and oh so French!! - Bagrat (10/5): - The best experience in Paris! Very friendly and attentive staff, lots of attention to cute details. Very beautiful, clean hotel in a good area. We absolutely loved the stay. I believe his name was Ari (gentleman with a mustache who looked like Alfred Sommier :)) was sooooo nice and made us feel like home! Thank you!!!
- Rachel (10/5): - This was our 3rd time staying at Alfred Sommier and it was gorgeous as usual. We had booked a terrace room this time and were not thrilled with the size, bathroom or balcony, so we upgraded to the junior suite. Worth every penny! What a gorgeous room! Location is excellent, close walking distance to both Madeline and Concord metro stations as well as Printemps and Galleries Lafayette. Tons of great places to eat nearby as well. This is our home away from home in Paris and we look forward to our next stay.

- Susan (8/5): - We had a triple premium suite. The layout of the suite was quite small due to the second bedroom. The wall to wall carpet was stained. However, the beds were very comfortable, and the swing open double windows with a view of the property was a nice perk. The bathroom was updated and clean with a generously sized soaking tub, and double sink. The linens and towels were clean and of good quality. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. The breakfast buffet was a lovely and convenient option. The staff member who appeared the be of Asian descent at the buffet was very attentive and kind. The gym was extremely minimal. The property itself was beautiful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel was fantastic. The service was very good. The room was beautiful and very spacious. The best part was the quality of the bed and pillows. Only one complaint, I know the french appreciate their old original hardwood floors, however this one was so terribly noisy I bet I woke up whomever was downstairs every time I went to the bathroom.

- Don (4/5): Disappointing. Overpriced. - Overpriced for what you get in return. Maybe a 3.5 star at BEST. Small room, very soft bed, tiny bathroom and shower (even by European standards). Below average breakfast. The hotel has really declined since we last stayed here in 2021. Very run down, appears no upkeep is being done. The “hot” breakfast items are lukewarm at best. Not a great overall experience. Disappointing for the price paid. Look elsewhere if you are considering this property. We travel often and this experience left a lot to be desired. Now the AI/bot will add a standard response to my comments. I don’t even know why they bother 🙄

- Hasmik (2/5): - Save your money and stay somewhere else. This hotel didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel, it felt like a 3 star hotel. I have been to Paris 5 times and this was the worst hotel I have stayed at. The rooms are extremely outdated. The hallways had very old carpets with stains all over them. The service is very slow and not very welcoming. Our room smelled extremely bad. We told the staff that we were dissatisfied with our room because the sink was clogged and overall it was very outdated and they were nice enough to move us into another terrace room. The room was equally as bad as the other one. Bathroom had a very terrible smell, the housekeeping was awful. They didn’t clean the room at all. They only changed the towels and they put the old used spoons back instead of replacing them with clean ones. I don’t recommend this hotel at all and I will never stay here again.
- Haiyan (6/5): - Great location and beautiful building. However, rooms lack proper maintenance (coffee machine was replaced three times, broken phone and etc). Also feel like they didn’t have enough staff. Would hesitate to stay here again for the same price.

- margaret (10/5): - I have stayed at this property probably 8 times now — I have lost count. There is a reason why I do so. Aside from being a beautiful boutique hotel, staff is consistent and very welcoming. I’ve stayed in several different types of rooms and although each one is different — this is not a big box hotel — my preference are the junior suites prestige. Right price, right accommodations, right size.

- MOJGAN (8/5): - It's a very nice hotel. The only problem was with the service. Several times towels were missing after the room was made up, water wasn't replaced, and coffee wasn't replaced. We had to call the front desk several times for these items. Breakfast service was not very attentive. We had to go look for the waiter repeatedly to get coffee and refills of coffee. One server was unpleasant and unfriendly and acted like we were bothering him. The coffee machine wasn't functioning properly. The front desk said they would send someone. After an hour and a half I went to the front desk to ask again for assistance. They were surprised no one had come yet. I waited another half hour before someone finally came to the room. This sort of thing is really not acceptable in a hotel that charges these prices.

- Heidi (8/5): - This was my second stay at Alfred Sommier. Some highlights included friendly reception Victoria, spacious room, location of property being in walkable distance to most sights. Some drawbacks included poor concierge team who were not very helpful with making reservations, unfriendly breakfast room staff. The hotel also hosted conferences during our stay and as a result of their small space were not able to accommodate hotel guests for a drink or snack in the bar area.

- Dustin (6/5): - Bellman not there on arrival. Construction jack hammer during the day. No iron in room. Went to bar no one there than guy comes to cover and wasn’t familiar with bar. They did give us early checkin. Property was nice. At breakfast was overpriced and ok.
