- Maricarmen (7/5): Good old hostel (...entrance big and shabby) but with rooms pretty decent and worth your money - The bed is comfortable to sleep. I ended up having the whole shared room by myself. If the bed curtains were all nicely fixed the room would look much better. The guy helping is very nice and accommodating. The location is near the center. I was on the 6th floor by choice, without elevator, but walking up was easier than other places's 4th floor. There were some mosquitos in the room but he gave me an electric device to keep mosquitoes under control.

The sound insulation was excellent, allowing me to sleep soundly through the night. The front desk staff were warm and professional, with efficient check-in service and prompt responses to requests. The location is convenient and offers great value for money. Highly recommended, and I will definitely choose to stay here again

The room is clean and tidy, with a separate bathroom and complete facilities. The air conditioning and hot water are both good. A recommended backpacker youth hostel nothing

The room is clean and tidy, and the employees speak English very enthusiastically. The WiFi signal is very good, and there are password signs posted on each floor. A highly recommended backpacker hostel nothing

The room is clean and neat, and the employee provides a lot of help, the WiFi signal is also very good. - Skaife (3/5): In comparison to other hotels in the vicinity which i visited, i would say the value for money is no - Unfortunately there were more negatives than positives about this stay. To start with the good, the only things was that the location was reasonably okay, and scooter hire from the reception was easy. The negatives is quite a large list. It starts off with being difficult to find, being located behind a backstreet with no obvious signing. The location on maps is not completely accurate which makes some confusion. Next, there is no professionalism to the staying in this location. The man that manages the hotel basically lives in the reception with personal belongings scattered everywhere, rubbish everywhere and its a dark and univiting environment in general. The wifi doesn't work above the second floor which is very inconvenient. The english of the manager is not very good which makes it hard to communicate.

- Aridana (8/5): Don't listen to the bad reviews! - I saw the reviews and almost didn't give this place a chance but eventually decided to go anyway, and I'm glad I did. The hostel is nothing like what the bad reviews say. The rooms were tidy, the linens were clean, and the best were comfortable. The rooms had AC and privacy curtains. I'm really not sure what some people expect from a cheap youth hostel because as far as hostels go across Asia, this one was decent. It's a little tricky to find, you have to go down Pan Tao road until you hit an easily missable side street, but if you put the Chinese address into amaps, it'll lead you right here.
- Anonymous (2/5): Not worth the money , Norwegian prison cells are cleaner and better equipped. - Nothing except the close proximity to West Street. Where to start. The lobby area was a mess and full of the owners personal belongings so nowhere to sit downstairs. The rooms were horrible and our bed sheets had brown stains on them - when we asked for new ones we either had to change rooms or put the new sheet on ourself. Then we found out the towels were also dirty after unfolding them - when the boss asked the cleaner to get a new one she said we don’t have any more and said she’s off work now so she can’t do it - then we were told the towels didn’t even belong to the hotel lol. Anyway we did manage to get new ones. Booking.com states Mountain View and cable tv neither of which were true. If you want to experience what staying in a brothel feels like I’d recommend staying here. But seriously for the price you pay you can find much much better hotels than this hostel in Yangshuo and that’s exactly what we did. Credit to the boss he did try to help us with the sheets and towels problems and also only charged us for one night since we checked out a day early. Only detailing this review because I don’t want other travelers to get ripped off by this terrible hostel - don’t trust the booking.com review it’s very inaccurate.
