Guest Reviews
- Masterson (7/5): - Peaceful, FOOD WHEN DELUVERED GOOD
WRONG BREAKFAST SERVED. ROOM VERY BASIC
SHOWER GOOD. LOCATION LOVELY. Slow serrvice, wrong breakfast served, room very basic...been in s lot better for price. Breakfast disappointing.

- Yvonne (1/5): - Nothing We had to cut trip short as I had thought I had booked a ground floor room due to mums mobility. The staff were unhelpful as their was no lift. We came home 3 hours after arriving as the room was unacceptable. No WiFi in the room and the staff were not very understanding to my elderly mums needs. I explained this to the manager, I emailed also. Have not had a reply I wasn't looking for a full refund but as we had paid for breakfast for 2. I thought they would have at least replied and offered some sort of refund.
I would not go back or recommend the place
.
- Susan (10/5): Perfect location to see the beaches and castle with a friendly staff to help in any way. - The staff are super friendly and helpful with suggestions
Food was also excellent
In some sort of transition? So maybe understaffed as it can be awhile to get food on occasion Although comfortable, my room was showing signs of wear… carpet, tile grout, bed pleather frame… but it didn’t deter from my stay. My room was above the street which is fairly busy so I’m glad I brought ear plugs for sleep
- Rachael (6/5): Ok stay - Evening staff were lovely, very helpful. Check in was easy. Shower was excellent.. Room was very dated and cold even after turning up heating. Bathroom had nowhere to put your towels/makeup bag. Lighting was poor.
- Meriel (8/5): A warm welcome, and within minutes walk of the station. - Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Helpful staff. Very nice evening meal (reasonably priced). Nicely positioned dining area, a level above the pavement, where you could look out. Bathroom could have been cleaner (no cover over sink and there were bits of stuff dropped down there).
- Alex (9/5): Perfect overnight or for a few days to visit Edinburgh - Great location a character old inn All good
- Stewart (9/5): Enjoy stay with friendly staff, room very clean and comfortable, food was excellent - Comfy room in outbuilding N/a
- Jan (7/5): - Snídaně, personal Pavouci nad postelí, nepohodlnná postel pro 2m osobu
- Alexander (7/5): - Friendly helpful staff. Great location Accommodation was very dated. Pillows on bed were very poor quality. Tiny TV in room.
- Gillan (6/5): - Handy to the golf course! No hot water in showers
- Dean (8/5): Value for money and great meal - Friendly staff and nice food Carpet needed a hoover in room and mould/likescale on shower walls just needs scrubbing off
- Mark (9/5): Welcoming, quality hotel. - Very welcoming staff. Secure overnight motorcycle parking for x2 bikes (thank you). Good dinner and excellent breakfast.
Comfy room with good facilities.
- julie (10/5): Great stay, lovely hotel - Love the hotel, staff and location. Hotel room clean, warm , bed comfortable and linen clean and white. Great value for money and breakfast great We struggled to park our car in village
- Laura (9/5): Central location in a lovely town - Location, staff and the restaurant were all amazing! Our room was absolutely freezing when we went in after dinner. We figured out how to turn on the heat but it took a while!
The only other minor issue was in the morning when the cleaning staff went into the room across the hall and turned up their music really loud and left the door open. We were already awake, but I didn’t appreciate the noise level. I understand that listening to music helps make the cleaning more fun, but at 08:30 on a Sunday morning I would think headphones would have been a more respectful choice.

- Gillian (7/5): - Some members of staff were great.
Romm was really clean but dated. Member of staff on reception, not dark haired girl but a blonde one was quite rude and rolled her eyes because i couldn't hear what she was saying.
The dark haired girl was very polite.
- Alan (9/5): Good overnight stay - Comfortable hotel in a nice place. Food! Evening meal and Guinness were amazing!! Breakfast was everything we could ask for. Room 1 was a little small but ok for the night.
- bridget (7/5): Great location, friendly staff - Great location, friendly staff For a three night stay I though we could have been given a bigger room. There wasn’t enough space for our case
- Kevin (10/5): Lovely place to stay and friendly/helpful staff - Friendly helpful staff. Nice location and ideal for what we needed.
- carina (6/5): Good value for the money, nice staff - Location is convenient, central to the town, outdoor activities, short walk to the train station, close to the city
Staff were friendly and supportive
Lovely old typical building Needs some renovation done, staff need quite some time to attend guests for breakfast, even when not busy
Parking is at train station
- Anne (8/5): -
- Laura (4/5): - The area Room was too small and had to sqeeze behind the door to the toilet
- Matt (10/5): -

- Adam (10/5): - My fifth stay, I think, here. Great breakfast and dinner selection, clean room, staff friendly and in a good spot.
Going back next month
- Adam (8/5): -
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Siv (9/5): Hyggelig familiedrevet hotell - Veldig god frokost.
- Gordon (9/5): -
- Catherine (8/5): -
- Elaine (5/5): Nice food genuine staff - Friendly staff Very basic and dated for the price
- Karen (6/5): Ok - The food was great, so good! The bar area is really nice. Very dog friendly. It was really hot and when window open I got smoke in from beer garden underneath me into room. The room I felt was expensive for what you got. One person working there was very friendly and nice who served breakfast 2nd morning and they were not all like that.
- Kristi (10/5): -
Strand in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Es war alles bestens.
- Kathleen (7/5): -
- karen (10/5): Would definitely stay again, staff, food and area amazing - All the staff were amazing food was fantastic Bathroom could do with a deep clean
- marjan (9/5): - Great facilities, really a great place to relax with my pet to get away from the hard days of work. We enjoyed it. Only the boiler was off at night and the cold bothered us.
- Steven (8/5): - Good location on the high street Sink was very slow to drain
- IAN (9/5): All round excellent in every aspect. - The breakfast was as good as you will find in a 5star hotel. Only improvement might be the addition of fresh fruit.
The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient and went out to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The room we had was warm, clean and comfortable.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Great location - Aberdour is a great location for the train into edinburgh. The hotel was good value and staff wonderful. The food was very good.
- Susan (10/5): Very relaxing , comfortable and close to the beach . - Traditional Scottish , great location very near the beach .
- Peter (9/5): - Everything Nothing
- Jennifer (6/5): Good - Convenient location . Warm and friendly Shower cubicle too small
- Barry (10/5): Excellent hotel with friendly staff. Nice bar atmosphere and staff. Felt the breakfast choices were a bit limited howeve - Good location, big room, friendly staff. Breakfast choices were a bit limited.
- Chris (1/5): - parking staff, service, cleanliness everything but the parking is terrible
- Christina (10/5): -
- Karin (8/5): Suited our needs for the weekend. - Convenient location. Friendly staff. N/A
- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely charming inn, dog friendly - Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfy beds, big bathroom, windows that open easily Not much coeliac choice for breakfast haggis/black pudding but that's normal! Someone had to come into our room and look for a leak but that's not his fault.
- Ghulam (10/5): - Staff were very caring! Facilities lovely WiFi signal could have been better.
- Lauren H (10/5): - Food was amazing and people were lovely
- Brenda (8/5): - Location was great as well as the food and service. Rooms were dated and in desperate need of a makeover
- Jeanette (8/5): -
- Adam (10/5): -
- Irene (9/5): Excellent value for money, comfortable and close to station. - Location, friendly staff and breakfast
- Luca (9/5): - Ottimo!
- Fraser (8/5): Nice value hotel in a lovely area of Fife - Quaint hotel on Aberdour Main Street.
Very close to coastal walks and golf course. Room was fine and breakfast good. A busy bar and friendly staff. A bit dated, but adds to the quirkiness.
- Alanna (9/5): - The kitchen is a heaving hub!! Everything is very tasty, all the right spices and flavours. They kept me well feed for a week, hot breakfast to order. Loved it!!! Beautiful village, lovely artisan shops, staff always willing to assist wirh anything and everything. A really great escape from the city Nothing
- Goga Sandra (10/5): - Le calme. Le paysage. L ambiance. La nourriture
- Brown-Samara (8/5): Overall, very good experience in a really convenient location. - Good breakfast, with a selection of cooked options though we found the water made the tea taste strange- maybe just a temporary thing.
The staff were all friendly and helpful.
The bed was comfortable. Our room was on the top floor and the floor sloped a little, which some might find disconcerting.
You also need to watch the wee step into the bathroom.
- Steve (6/5): -
- Jacqui (5/5): -
- Romana (10/5): -
- Jacqui (8/5): -
- Mary (7/5): Centrally located hotel - Very friendly & helpful staff - food was delicious 😋 Bed was very hard
- Christian (7/5): -
- Alan Turnbull (8/5): - The food was very nice breakfast and dinner Bed was a bit hard for me
- Phindile (6/5): - The sea Too far from town center and no clear information about transport, the surety of their equipment being bank cards ( they want full confidential information of your bank card to log on their system) they tried mine until it blocked even now I can not use it online
- Laura (7/5): - Fabulous location, great service and lovely dinner The room was a little dated and not a lot of breakfast options for a vegetarian
- Coleman (7/5): - Friendly staff for the most part.
Food served in the evenings very good, good prices. Breakfast could have been better, limited options for vegetarians, not a very big selection of continental options.
Room smaller than expected but fairly quiet and clean.
- Pamela (10/5): Amazing Aberdour - We loved our stay at Aberdour Hotel & Stables as we were continuing the Fife Coastal path which is in the perfect location if you’re looking for accommodation in Aberdour or just visiting.
All our amenities were very good.
We had our tea and breakfast the food was delicious and a must, all the staff were very polite and accommodating, go out there way to make your stay very enjoyable. If you’re looking for provisions shops in a very short walking distance from the accommodation. I would say the bar is cosy & relaxing a small tv would be a great addition and more or better positioned sockets in room { I am being picky} and would not put us off staying we loved it.
- Janet (8/5): - Excellent Fish pie for supper.
Very friendly staff.
Breakfast was substantial and tasty.
- George (7/5): -
- Elaine (7/5): Enjoyed our stay. Good view from window and good to be near railway station and harbour - The breakfasts were good and the staff were friendly Would have been better to have had a proper shower rather than an over the bath one
- Fenton (8/5): - Dinner and breakfast were excellent and plentyfull Onside parking would have been handy as I had a disabled passenger
- AndersWelander (7/5): - Ok, inget märkvärdigt men fanns det mest
- Michał (10/5): -
- Pamela (7/5): -
- Nicoll (8/5): Great - Embiance Nothing
- Anne F (10/5): Nice Guest House - Nice small hotel. The double room was big enough. Breakfast was OK. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice pub downstairs The car park was in two minutes walk distance. Of course with big luggage it would have been nice to have it in the backyard of the hotel. But it was free parking and there was place so, all good .
