You show up to the place and it’s hard to get in contact with one to get access to the property and when you finally get ahold of someone they ask for a $500 deposit to be sent through a 3rd party Zelle or Venmo. They have a lot of hidden fees and booking.com is just allowing them to scam people . When we were there there was also a young lady having the same problem not being able to get access to inside I definitely wouldn’t recommend it

The location was ideal — just minutes from McCormick Place and easy to get downtown — yet the neighborhood was quiet and safe. The hosts were warm, responsive, and made sure I felt welcome from check-in to check-out. I highly recommend McCormick Place Guest House to anyone visiting Chicago and will definitely stay again on my next trip!

• Caleb (1/5): Misrepresented, hostile environment, unsafe and unclean, located in a dangerous neighborhood in the inner city, not at a - It was misrepresented, they tell you that you’re the only guest been when I arrived there were multiple people there, puke all over the floor, people were physically fighting and some others were verbally fighting, lock was busted in bedroom door so no way to insure safety. It was a hostile environment , I left immediately requesting a refund. Sellers never answered. A google reviews show check will show you these people are notorious scammers and never give back the non refundable deposits. It’s a common occurrence

The curfew with the television, we came for our 1 year Wedding Anniversary, we were out most of the time, but it would've been nice to have been able to watch TV in our room.
• Clayton (10/5): Great for what it is - a place to sleep - Just what I needed - a bed to sleep for a few hours. The building was very clean and quiet. I didn't see anyone else there, but I saw signs (a towel outside a door after some checked out, shoes left by the front door where there's a sign kindly asking us to remove our shoes). Make sure you read the check-in instructions. I missed a couple important details and had to finish them while waiting on the stoop, but it was very easy and the host was super-accommodating, understanding, and supportive. The sleeping quarters are not much larger than the bed, but I didn't need more. A great value as long as you manage your expectations.

• Hardy (7/5): Good - I originally thought that I booked the entire house . if I would’ve known from the beginning that I was only renting out a room and that other strangers was going to be there I would’ve booked with someone else.
• Kate (6/5): - The property is in a decent location on the south side of Chicago. It's near Soldier Field with plenty of free street parking in front. We had difficulty getting into the house because the code I was given didn't work. We were lucky that some cleaning staff came to let us in. When I called to resolve it before we left to go to a concert, the manager changed the code and for a while, that one wasn't working either. She made it seem that I was at fault for the code not working. The room we stayed in was nice and large with a comfy bed. However, the shared bathroom didn't have a clean tub and they don't provide any hand towels.
• Artavia (8/5): My room & stay! - The rooms were nice & clean! The bathroom was clean. It was a bit chilly in the rooms but it was nice. I do take concern with property not answering phones at all! I suggest making sure the rooms are heated and cozy!
• Yasmen (1/5): Unprofessional - They are very unprofessional. I booked my stay online at booking.com I was sent a pin that would open the door upon my arrival. I arrive entered the pin and the pin did not work. I called the number on the booking site and a man demanded that I send an additional $200 in order for the pin to work. None of that was disclosed when I booked my stay nor when I paid for my room. I never gained entry the man hung up in my face several times. Unprofessional
