Valises portées , accueil dès l’arrivée du bateau, avec un verre de bienvenue, visite de l’endroit ! Le personnel est souriant et vous vous sentez chouchouté ! Nous avons pu bénéficier d’un lit supplémentaire dans notre chambre sans supplément ! Se relaxer à la piscine face au volcan est vraiment magnifique ! Sans compter le dîner au bord de l’eau qui était magique et très bon Tout est bien 🤩

We liked the concept of sustainable (water purification and solar panel systems) as well as maintaining clean place as role models for Nicaragua. - Ellie (7/5): Tranquil stay on isleta - The property is beautiful, located on a small island on the lake. The vibe is very tranquil and serene, perfect for switching off and getting away from the busyness of Granada. Pablo was very helpful in organising our boat to and from the port to get to the island. He was also very attentive to all of our requests. The breakfast was tasty, the banana pancakes were absolutely delicious! The bungalow we stayed in was well furnished, lovely design and calming atmosphere. The bed was decent although felt a bit hard and pillows were not soft enough for us. The outdoor areas are super nice, the pool area is great for relaxing, although lacks shade so maybe some umbrellas would be a good addition. There were not enough sunbeds for all the guests to sit by the pool, nor other alternative areas to lie and relax in the sun. The towels provided were quite small and thin material, this is ok for the pool but better shower towels should be provided. There were no activities on offer, we did a self guided kayak around the islands which was nice. There wasn’t much to do, we enquired about yoga classes but there weren’t any, only yoga mats to do it yourself. The food was nice but over priced and lacked finesse. The portions were huge (too much) and the menu was fairly small/basic, it was strange having to pre order every dinner by 5:30pm given there were few guests on the island. To improve, the property should organise and offer tours which show off the beauty of the islands e.g. wildlife or sunset tours, also offer yoga/pilates classes in the morning, provide more of a wellness offering to guests and encourage people to stay longer. The food menu should be expanded and refined, or lowered in price/portion size. A few small changes here would ensure a luxurious experience for guests. Booking.com offered a last minute/genius discount, which seemed like a fair price, however I would not pay full price to stay again.

- Amy (10/5): Great island lodge. - This small island lodge is quiet, beautiful, has lovely helpful staff and delicious food. They were so accommodating, helping to set up a trip to see Masaya volcano. Excellent 2 nights!
- Anna (10/5): A truly unique stay with incredible views - Spectacularly designed hotel. Generous, comfortable rooms, a great pool, lovely lounge areas, old mango trees that drop fruit, kayaks on site, and an incredibly picturesque location. They’re able to organise shore activities and a local fishing tour (though don’t expect to catch anything, you don’t go when the fish are feeding 😀) Overall, it feels truly special. The food was hit and miss - the lunch options were delicious (!) but the dinner menu was bland. The cocktails were creative interpretations of their usual selves.

Nestled on a private island in Lake Nicaragua, this eco-resort perfectly blends natural beauty, serenity, and warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived by boat, we were captivated by the lush surroundings and tranquil atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully designed — airy, clean, and tastefully rustic, offering stunning lake views. Waking up to the sounds of birds and gentle waves was pure bliss. The staff deserves special praise. Every team member was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring guests have a wonderful stay. The food was another highlight — fresh, locally sourced, and expertly prepared, with plenty of healthy and vegetarian options. We enjoyed kayaking around the isletas, lounging by the pool, and taking in breathtaking sunsets from the deck. Highly recommended for those looking for a unique, eco-friendly escape in Nicaragua. I’d happily return in a heartbeat. Nothing
- Fabian (4/5): Nice location and team, but very expensive for limited comfort and dirty toilets - Beautiful island, nice rooms with great view. Team was very friendly and organized interesting tours for us. As it was the anniversary of me and my wife the team decorated the dinner table very nicely and organized sparkling wine. However, the wine was way too expensive (60 USD) Power supply was not properly working and it was recommended to not use light, power, toilets, or showers, so we were offered to cancel our stay, but did stay anyway. This limited the comfort for our stay. Also, the bathroom of one of the rooms was not cleaned at all. There where stains at the mirror, faucets and handles where all stained. The toilet was not cleaned and it was very visible that our predecessor had a severe diarrhea - very disgusting. We thought the dinner was okay but way too expensive for what was offered to us (~80 USD for two excluding the sparkling wine, which was extra 60USD).

The rooms are beautifully designed, and the volcano view was a highlight. The pool is amazing, perfect for pictures, and offers a breathtaking spot to enjoy both sunrise and sunset. The added bonus of kayaks made the experience even more enjoyable. One day was not enough— will definitely be returning for a longer stay. Highly recommended: 10/10

The dining terrace area is also lovely. Staff is very attentive. All in all a perfect stay. Highly recommend this very relaxing hotel.

If you want to walk around at night or have nightlife, this is not the place, but it was incredibly peaceful, the staff was amazing, food was delicious. - Maurice (9/5): Very small resort on private island. - Very nice place on a remote private island. Nice views, nice food and super friendly staff. We were the only guests right after their new opening (closed due to some maintenance). So we could enjoy all facilities by ourselves. If all rooms are booked, the pool is for sure too small (only 4 sun beds). The manager Maria Jose is super friendly as well as all the other staff members. Prices are OK as you are on a remote island. Would have been nice if it was mentioned beforehand that the tax (15%) was not included on the food and drinks. There was hot water, but not constantly. No AC in the room (which you may expect for this price), but not possible as the cabins are open air (fully covered with mosquito nets), but there was a fan. Some umbrellas at the pool would have been nice if the sun is shining.

- Susan (10/5): - This isn’t just a hotel, it’s a life experience! The island the lodge is on is beautiful and very easy to get to. The facilities are fantastic, including the pool which has an amazing view. The lodge and rooms are immaculate and comfortable, the food is delicious and the service is excellent. If you get a chance to spend some time here you should absolutely take it - have your own little piece of paradise !!

We had to leave a day early because there were bats outside of our tree house. They were so noisy and we thought they were coming in. Also, the groundskeeper was sweeping right outside our room at 4 am and shinning a head light right into our window.

- Edith (9/5): Lovely quiet spot to recharge. - This was a lovely place to relax for 2 days between busy weeks of travel. The facilities were lovely. We enjoyed using the kayaks in the mornings to explore this island and others. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Henry was also interested in birds and helped us to locate 2 species of owls on the island, and to identify several other birds. The pool was small and situated in the sun which was quite hot.

- Matthias (10/5): Most relaxing weekend - Very quiet place in the middle of nature. Staff overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. Excellent food, fresh juices, herbs and salads and of course fish from the lake. Just relax, take a swim in the lake or the pool, enjoy the sun setting behind the slopes of Mombacho volcano, and see it being illuminated by the rising sun next morning. Have a cocktail, and go kayaking around neighboring isletas.

- A. (10/5): Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!! Wonderful food!!! - Wish we could give more 'points'. This place was the most amazing and pleasant accommodation in the more than 2 weeks traveling in Nicaragua. Everything was just perfect. The location (one of the small islands -Isletas- on a 15 min boat trip away from Granada with only 4 other huts), the design (beautiful colors and functionality), the staff (during the afternoon/evening English and very kind/helpful), delicious food and free use of kayaks. We only missed the yoga teacher (the deck is there) and a water cooker/fridge in the room (but the staff was willing to store goods for us!). Internet was sometimes weak and sometimes ok (less in the rooms).

Nice swimming pool, good food. Only 10min by boat (they pick you up) from the harbour. Would recommend coming here! Take notion that you are in a mini jungle so there are quite some 'noises' from animals.

From the beautiful private boat ride to the islet, to being warmly greeted w the staff and welcome drink, to the incredible architecture and immaculate details of every corner- this stay was exceptional. The treehouse was utterly charming- comfortable bed, open concept so you hear the nature while still having privacy. The food was the best I’ve had in Nicaragua - all locally sourced ingredients and very well presented. And everyone who worked there was so kind and passionate. I wish I had more time to stay longer. I will be back and will recommend to everyone. You’ll not only get the best experience, you’ll also capture the most beautiful photos.

- Monika (10/5): Living in paradise - The stuff of ‘“Isleta El Espino” is very good organised - the transfer to the island was easy and once on the island we felt like kings, every wish was fullfilled and we had some nice privacy, the food was food and it was very clean. Sleeping was also good as the whole room was bug-secured. It was perfect! Paradise

- Sterling (10/5): So very relaxing and restful. Such a short distance from the city, but you feel like you are in the wilderness. An excel - The property is excellently maintained. No detail is overlooked. The rooms are modestly decorated with local tourist items for a field that is truly unique and Ireland modern. I appreciated the attention to minimizing waste on all fronts, from the pretty little bottles, holding conditioner and shampoo in the shower to the drinking water in repurposed glass bottles with corks and accompanying metal tumblers around the property. Our family of four adults stayed in the treehouse, using both rooms. The treehouse has a beautiful view of the patio area. The mattresses were firm and comfortable. My favorite locally sourced item was the handmade blanket on the bed, from a small family textiles co-op in Leon. All the decor is minimal and island modern. The service from the staff was exceptional. Both dinner meals we ate during our stay were excellent and we enjoyed breakfast as well. Having kayaks available to get out for a paddle was a nice option and we did a morning outing as a family. This isn’t a critique against the property because it cannot be helped, but a guest should know in advance that since there are 25 mango trees on this tiny island, mangoes drop from the trees on average every 2 minutes. You need to be aware that one could fall on your head. Also, mangoes continue to drop all night long and onto the tin and terra cotta roofing, it is very loud. Since the treehouse rooms are “open”, you can not silence the noise.
