Guest Reviews
- Mário Daniel Soares (8/5): -
- Beatriz (10/5): Vale super a pena pelo preço/qualidade - Tudo perfeito! Estava tudo ótimo!
- Brittany Felicia (9/5): - The owner was the sweetest guy. Or maybe he was just an employee I don’t know. And it was right in the center!! There’s no parking for guests, but it’s not exactly the properties fault due to its location in the city center. The soap dispenser in the shower didn’t work very well to actually release the soap. That was a little frustrating.
- Moll Salleras (4/5): Lugar céntrico, alojamiento en callejón. Después del cheking, no aparece nadie. Un poco dudosa la relación caludad preci - La situacion céntrica. Intalaciones algo abandonadas.

Free WiFi.
Many bathrooms available.
Large room. Bed not the most comfortable.
Reception area not always manned (can take some time for someone to head down to assist).

- Gabriella (10/5): - Okk

- Jon (8/5): Very friendly hosts.....good budget accommodation in Central Coimbra, recommended..... - Great location.... near the central squares in the old quarter... surrounded by good restaurants and cafe's. Shared Kitchen available for use. Be aware there are one or two fights of stairs to climb.
- Francisco (10/5): -
- Pat (9/5): spacey rooms in historic centre - Location is in the historic centrum, the rooms are big enough and the bathrooms are clean and showers have a strong water pressure.
Every room is spacy and the kitchen has the Grandma's coziness. The cookingpans in the kitchen are worn down.
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Carlos (6/5): Pleasant - Good location Lane not accessible for taxis; steep stairs, not good for the elderly carrying luggage; too much noise from outside the room - I suggest carpeting corridors and stairs; bathrooms not not suitable for sharing, wet floors for the next to use - since there are 3 bathrooms and 3 room on the floor, I suggest individualizing one bathroom for each room.
- Mpt (4/5): Disappointing -
- Helen (8/5): Ideal base in Coimbra for Camino walkers - Excellent central and quiet location in the centre of Coimbra just off the Camino. Guy at Reception (across the street) very helpful. Rooms spacious and clean. Kitchen, terrace and multiple bathrooms all in good condition.
Good selection of restaurants and bars round the corner. Would highly recommend. No clothes pegs provided so one item of my clothing blew away😁
- Dabaoz (8/5): Very good - Maria is so friendly to provide many useful information. Many thanks for her
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Federico (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and spacious and good value.
- Jaspal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caterina (5/5): Passable - The position Dirty room- noisy doors and stairs to go up.
The pavement was leaning on one side and lost balance several times.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Silke (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jorge (7/5): Good -
- Satoko (5/5): I think I got what I paid for. - Location was good. The owner was a kind person. Cheap. It was hard to lock the door because it was almost broken. You need to bear every noise by your neighbours. The quality of bed was terrible, and I could hardly sleep. No dryer.
- Phoenix (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Kristie (8/5): Very good -
- Pedro (10/5): Excelent value. -
- Alex (9/5): Superb -
- Luiz (8/5): It’s just ok, I would not repeat though - The staff is great, bathrooms are clean and - technically - the location is central, however, there were dozens of people acting suspicious every single day/night of my 3 day observation and I actually witnessed a fist fight 15m from the front door in what seems to be a shady restaurant/bar. I started asking around and according to information received from 2 different people in 2 different restaurants, the street and surrounding alleys are high traffic for heavy drug activity so I wouldn’t stay again or recommend the hostel just because of that.
- Sam (8/5): Very good - Great location, clean room. Kitchen and shower rooms a little run down
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Grace (10/5): I would recommandte this place for the price and locate - This place is nice, and the hosts were super helpful. I liked this place so much because everything is close to this place. It is an awesome place to stay and visit Coimbra.
- Rebecca (8/5): Great for a budget stay - Great location and very affordable. Nice and quiet. Staff are very nice. Great having a kitchen. Basic room but this is reflected in the price and made up for by having own kitchen facilities.
- Hyeji (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cibele (8/5): Very good -
- John (7/5): Good - Large room.
Quiet and peaceful.
Good clean bathroom, lots of hot water.
Central location.
- Girlie (8/5): Very good - Great location. Very helpful staff
- Dave (8/5): Very good -
- Yuliya (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, comfortable bedroom. There is a heater. Ideal location in the city centre. -
- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Noelia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alison (5/5): Average - Clean. Friendly staff, though not on the premises.
Very near the train station. The room was spartan: bare walls, no personal touch.
In the bathroom, the towel rail needed fixing - kept falling down.
The ‘terrace’ was a small area overlooking the back walls of other buildings.
My main issue was with the room: no bedside lamp! Just one very bright light. Unacceptable if you want to relax at night and read etc
- Gamze (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the hotel was amazing, it was in the best possible location. We stayed in a double room and the room was very comfortable. The gentleman in the lobby helped us with everything, he was very kind and nice. If I come to Coimbra again, I will stay here again.
- Mark (7/5): Good - It was quiet. The bathroom near my room #14 ceiling and walls in and around the shower had mold . Paint was peeling and the ceiling was cracking . Needs to be fixed . Oven wasn't working .
- Charles (8/5): Very good - Location top class.
Lots of very good fish restaurants close by even one a step away.
Beautiful town to visit Nothing except the rain the first day!!
- Alesia (10/5): Exceptional - It was a very nice stay! The stuff is very friendly, helped us a lot, it was really a pleasure to chat with them =)
The location is really cool - in the center but it is a calm street.
The decoration and the equipment is very simple, but there was everything we needed.
Thanks a lot !
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoff (9/5): Great location, helpful staff - Small room looking into the laneway. Comfortable bed. Tiny but functional bathroom. Good location with several good restaurants close by, and a short stroll to the old centre. Very helpful staff.
- Olivia (9/5): Superb -
- Ricardo (8/5): Very good -
- Rares (9/5): Superb -
- Liz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tobias (8/5): Great place - Great place for visiting Coimbra. It's close to the city center, the university's just 15 mins away. The rooms are clean and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. They recommended a tiny little restaurant just next door and we were not disappointed. Can definitely recommend coming here!
- Clémence (8/5): nice and with a good price/quality - Despite being located in a street not fancy at all, the hostel is quiet and very clean (maybe the cleanest common bathroom I have ever seen, and in a sufficient numbers for each floor), the other guests were nice, and the staff is nice too, and the opening hours are large, which is very convenient.
The room is simple (we were in a double room with shared bathroom), but we didn’t need more, and it is in accordance with the price I think. As a general comment about the city and hostel area, it can be difficult to find a free parking.
- Jaron (10/5): Really amazing hostel! - This place was really amazing. I have been in many hostels, but never have I've seen such a clean hostel. Everyday there were cleaners and I got clean towels. The staff was really kind and loving. The hostel is really in the city center. It was just an amazing experience to be here. Obrigado! Literally nothing
- Sam (9/5): Overall ideal for what we needed. - Great spot to explore coimbra, nice balcony, lounge and kitchen.
- Richard (5/5): served my needs - Great location, right in the center of things, but respectfully quiet too. location
- Leonor (5/5): Passable -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Ruth (5/5): Passable -
- Jill (9/5): Great location! - Great location in the centre of the city, and quiet. Spacious room, clean showers. Great little restaurant opposite the hotel - highly recommended! It would have been nice to have bedside lights
- Foard (8/5): Very good -
- Brenda (8/5): Very good - Friendly, English speaking management. Cleaning staff super accommodating. Kitchen & fridge good for storing food after shopping at local minimart behind train station. Location to restaurants, churches, stores banks, super accessible. Not the first accomodation that seems to have guests sleep directly on box springs with no mattress.(?).
- Ford (4/5): Disappointing - Thought the cost of 90euros was high for the quality of the room and shared bathroom, 2 of the 3 showers were unusable, compared with other accommodation on our walking trip.
- Judith (10/5): Perfect location. Amazing hospitality. - location location location. loved the lounge, large well equipped kitchen and the wee balcony are for an after dinner wine and/or to catch up with friends/family in au/Nz
all staff helpful. Manager is an amazing hospitaliers. nothing!
- Linda (7/5): Good - Good location near old city and camino route Basic facilities. Comfy enough but nothing special. OK for one night but probably not for any longer. Everything in room was a little worn/tired
- Jean (9/5): Superb -
- B (7/5): Good - Rooms very cool despite hot weather, extremely kind and helpful host No lockers, flies in the kitchen, cracks in the wall of the bathroom
- Mihalik (7/5): Good location, fair service. -
- Terence (8/5): Winning location - Perfect location, very clean Nothing, it was great
- Dmitchell (10/5): Great value - Maria was so helpful. She gave us good recommendations for restaurants and things to see. She held our bags after checkout for us to see more of the city.
I would say the walls are a little thin, so if you are a light sleeper, it might be tough. But we were ok with it. I would still recommend staying there.
- Tjebbe (9/5): Superb - There was a nice kitchen to cook and plenty of bathrooms The blankets where pretty thin. It was a bit top chilly to sleep comfortably
- Martin (8/5): Very good - Very nice and welcoming staff !!
Excellent location Not super comfy bed
Basic room
- Hamid (10/5): it was very clean and quiet place for stay and enjoy Coimbra sites and traditional downtown. -
- Carlos (10/5): Great deal! - Great staff and location! The bedroom was clean and the bathrooms also. Sharing the bathroom, we were alone during our stay, could be a problem if you are not used to do so. Kitchen well equipped. The stairs to get to the room when you are drunk... hahaha
The heating can be problem depending on the time of the year, but they have some electric heaters to help you out.
- L (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julian (9/5): Superb -
