• Jenny (4/5): Bit disappointed about how they made us wait just to get the key code to enter room after travelling from outside london - I didn’t like how there was no normal windows where i can open easily. It was raining and the slanted window wasn’t helping as the rain would wet everything inside plus the curtain was jammed or something it was hard to open . No other windows to get fresh air or get natural light. . The flat was on top floor too many stairs for me to walk up and down with bad knee . And when i booked it said there would be a bathtub but in my appartment i only had one small shower . Didn’t knw how to turn the heating on either, it was cold . Even the bed was making squeaky noise when i turn left or right

• Jessica (3/5): Would not recommend - Location was kind of near to the station. You can contact customer service by telephone. The apartment was relatively big. I was not sent a code to pick up my keys following completing the forms sent to me. This meant my boyfriend and I had to test the codes we had received, e.g. our "pin" on booking.com to try and get our key without success. We phoned customer service and they released the key for us. There was no hairdryer. There is only one set of towels (we were staying for 8 nights). No laundry detergent provided, or soap for the kitchen. The fridge froze our food as we didn't see the temperature had been set so low. There is nothing inside the apartment telling you the wifi code. We had to call, and the man would not tell us it over the phone. I had to wait for a whatsapp message. They will not reply to queries sent via booking.com messages. The apartments are NOT soundproof. We could hear what seemed to be a dog running around early in the morning and late at night in the apartment upstairs. The window in the bedroom did not completely close, the blinds would move due to the wind outside. We did not have a double bed, but 2 single beds pushed together. They would move apart very easily. The shower was broken, my boyfriend and I had to hold the shower up for each other as it could not attach anywhere. The paint in the bedroom had come off in places, where the headboard should be. I waited 10 days before contacting them r.e. a refund for the deposit, which you are meant to receive within 7 days of check out. I then received an invoice created on that day for the refund. I doubt I would have received my £200 back if I hadn't asked.

Moved us back to same room with new refrigerator. Most staff were OK but Rishi talks like a law school drop out with no customer service. No notice in the Booking ad that it requires a deposit of £200. Was send an email demanding it after taking the initial payment. Also did not refund the £200 until I chased them fir it after 3 weeks. Beware and be warned about what you are getting into when booking this place.

Good transport links, eateries and shopping Had two separate visits from spiders. Did not seem to have been cleaned thoroughly prior to occupancy. Under bed was dusty and a comb was left in night stand from previous occupant. In basement apt near the main door so a little nosier than usual with the traffic of people/cars

• Jonny (1/5): Cancelled due to the poor state & small of apartment. Very disappointing and would not recommend - Nothing. I dont have anything good to say about this property. Would not recommend to anyone. Only good experience was the swiftness of a refund that was provided. Firstly, security deposit had to be paid before we received the keys. This was not communicated via messages in Booking.com even after had discussed check in times. It was also not displayed clearly when booking. The apartment smelt of cigarettes throughout. None of the blinds worked. The furniture was rock hard and extremely uncomfortable. Pictures are not accurate to what you get. It was so poor we cancelled our booking once entered the property and booked elsewhere.

• Karen (8/5): Good location and comfortable apartment. You’ll have everything you need for a short stay. - Location is good. The apartment was comfortable, neat, and clean. Staff is very responsive and polite. Kitchen is equipped with the basic things and you can even cook meals and wash clothes. There was one window that won’t close properly in so can’t keep the cold out completely.

• Margaret (1/5): Terrible. - Apart from its location, there is nothing good to say about this property. My husband and I booked 2 weeks in a one-bed apartment, and this review is to warn potential guests of the dismal condition of their apartments. We were required to pay in full just over a week before our arrival. Please don’t fall for that. You’ll have no viable alternative but to stay and will be stuck with what you paid for. What we encountered when we opened the door was shocking. Our apartment was dirty, cheaply furnished, poorly-maintained. E.g. sagging, stained mattress that sunk below a cheap frame. The hard edges of that frame essentially became an extension of the mattress we had to sleep on while we were there. Impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Please don’t book based on the ratings shown by Booking.com. Instead, take a look at the negative reviews. Rather than addressing their guest complaints with actions, Westciti representatives make the company sound good by responding in a positive way. But they do nothing to fix those issues. Many of the negative reviews mirror our 2-week experience in apartment #11, and - based on my communications with management during our stay - I’m afraid that the condition of that apartment and others in that building will remain the same. The whole place needs a major remodel.

After several unsuccessful attempts to complete check-in, I had to call the host to manually complete requested information. With the digital check-in completed I received instructions on how to collect the key from the lock box. Unfortunately, i was not able to open the lock box as wrong check-in details were assigned/programmed by the host to the lock box. It required another call to the host to eventually collect the key.

We made a complaint and were promised it will be attended to on 6th Sept which happened to be my wife birthday. It was not attended to ,we ended up mopping the floor all through the day. We have to keep awake until around 2.00 am 7th Sept when it fell off.. it was not up to a minute that my wife stepped out from the mopping that it fell. I feel the management should think of compensating us. The urgency of attending to issues

Space was used very well, lots of natural light. It was furnished with all the basics. I was quite impressed. Bedroom was spacious. Good location for shopping and transport links near Croydon Centre. The two bedroom windows had large cracks in them.

Small things need attention like the batteries need to be replaced in the wall clock and tv remote and liquid soap refilled in the shower. Some areas of the unit need some TLC and paint freshen up.

The bathroom was greasy, and there wasn't much stuff in the kitchen to cook with. The dishwasher was not working, and the floor was making a weird noise. Additionally, I booked an apartment with a bathtub, but when checked was with shower. Strong smell of cigarette was coming into the flat.

• Diana (2/5): Very disapointing. - The locaation was okay Where do I even begin? First, the apartment was on the top floor with no lift, and this wasn’t disclosed beforehand. Dragging four heavy suitcases up multiple flights of stairs was an exhausting and unnecessary hassle. Second, the listing was completely misleading. The photos showed a neat one-bedroom with a bathtub, but what I got was a dingy, cramped shower cubicle in a poorly maintained space. The apartment desperately needs a full renovation—or Booking.com should remove it from their platform altogether. To make matters worse, I was forced to pay an additional £200 security deposit at check-in, despite the Booking.com listing suggesting it was already included. This lack of transparency affected my decision to book, and now, four full working days after checkout, the deposit still hasn’t been refunded—with zero communication from the host. The cleanliness was subpar, and for a London apartment charging this much, the lack of air conditioning was unacceptable. Instead of a comfortable stay, we were given a noisy, ineffective floor fan in sweltering heat. Booking.com, I’ve been a loyal customer for nearly a decade, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve had through your platform. You need to hold these hosts accountable—either enforce proper standards or remove them to protect your brand’s reputation.

The other two rooms we were offered turned out to be the same. Offer to leave and they will refund the money, but the money has not been refunded yet.
