Guest Reviews
- Derek (2/5): AVOID THIS PLACE AND HOTELS.COM - We were moved to another condo last minute. Upon arrival we found the place rotten dirty, mattress pads and pillows stained. The air conditioning wasn’t working the entire stay. The place was a dump and when we contacted both the owner rep and hotels.com nobody would address the situation!
- Catherine (10/5): - Very nice place to stay
- William (10/5): - If you book here you are staying in an active local condo community, The culture toward outof town guests was just fine.
Prepare yourself for the first time checking in... this is no hotel... it is fairly DIY. BUT... if you can follow directions and roll with it... you will find it easy, and after you get used to it... you will enjoy being in the middle of a residential community.
My only critique of the apartment is the sparse and simple furniture. The balcony was AMAZING... but we had to bring out kitchen stools to enjoy the balcony space.
The positives... GREAT LOCATION. SAFE space. Apartment features met the description.
If you are looking for a central space to stay while taking in Toronto, this is it. (Just be prepared to bring a stool out to enjoy that AWESOME balcony.)
- John (10/5): Water view condo - Very good central location in Toronto with nice water view. Restaurants nearby.
- praiyalan (8/5): - Prompt response from staff, interiors can be more cleaner .
- Karen (6/5): - Ceiling light fixtures without lightbulbs but there were lamps that worked. Microwave was black inside as if something had been burned, Doors to the bathroom were water damaged at the bottom, beds were comfortable. Conveniently located.
- Alexandre (6/5): Good overall, price was right - Family trip with 2 kids. Great location, free parking, nice place. Not huge but better then most comparable hotels. I wouldnt call this a formal 2 bedroom though. No privacy due to layout. Elavator didnt work most of the time.
- Susan (8/5): - Clean condo, secure building and parking, great location.
- geoffrey (4/5): Far from Luxury!! - this was not as described as luxury. location was amazing but laminate flooring was all pulling apart, the lamp in the bedroom had a cut wire so I had no light in room, the glass in the sliding door on one was missing so I had curtains, light fixtures were broken in numerous spots, the sofa bed was not usable in one of the 3 rooms we booked and the heat was unbearable it was 74 in the room the entire time and the ac didnt work to cool it off.
- geoffrey (4/5): Not luxury as advertised needs reno bad. - I have never left a negative review on this site before. I rented three rooms for myself and staff. Not one staff member of mine was happy with their rooms and they were not luxury as advertised. The lamp in main bedroom couldn’t get plugged it as wire was cut and would have caused a fire if I plugged it in so I had no light in the main bedroom. The laminate flooring is all pulling apart. Light fixtures on ceiling were not out together. One of the glass sliding walls to main bedroom didn’t have any glass in it. There was something wrong with heating room was 74 and we couldn’t get it down.
- SANDEEP (6/5): - What I liked-
ambience, location, excellent view, enough bedsheets, towels.
Inconveniences I faced-
1.Bathroom which had entry on both sides had no bolts; after complaints only one side was fixed. This was extremely stressful.
2. the window blinds were broken; repaired after complaints
3. although there were many plates, there was only 1 spoon and 3 forks, 1 serving spoon ; i had to eat with my hand during meals
4.there was hardly any utensils to cook
5.the AC switched off every 1 hr ; i had to get up after every 1 hr to reset.
6.unfortunately , there was no salt, sugar ,coffee in the apartment. Thank God, there was a Tim Hortons just next door which saved us after a transatlantic flight.
7. 150 CAD was taken in advance for cleaning; however in our stay for 9 nights , no one had cleaned the apartment
8. This apartment is simply not worth the cost if the amenities provided/ not provided are considered; it was handed over without proper reviewing.
- John (4/5): - Not a fan of management. One star deducted as they don't honour advertised pricing on Expedia. Another star deducted as they promised an updated invoice for my employer's reimbursement during my stay, but they never gave one. Contacted management again, said I'd get it soon. Five days later, still nothing. Another star deducted as they moved my booked condo to a completely different building blocks away and then I had the hassle of coordinating in getting moved again to be closer to my colleagues. Won't stay again in a property manager by Luxury Homes Stays LLC nor Omitua Inc.
Building and condo was nice (14 york st). Great view of Lake and CN tower. However, the A/C wasn't adequate enough to keep up my the sun's rays so needed to keep blinds closed.
The building doesn't have enough elevators - took about fifteen minutes or so in line to get on the elevator during peak times.
Lastly, tv only offered your own streaming service with no cable.
- Jeffrey (6/5): - Condo was clean and overall comfortable, and location is fantastic (walkable to most attractions in central downtown Toronto, nearby amenities). However the beds were not comfortable, the building isn't in the greatest condition, and not having onsite staff who can assist was a negative. The management staff we worked with virtually were very responsive and helpful, but the check-in/check-out process was not smooth (instructions changed a few times, and it was not self-check-in as the listing indicated).
- Sean (10/5): - It was in a very good area of town, lots of places to walk to, wonderful views of the lake and the CN tower, very quiet and safe, very clean and the staff was super helpful and nice and it was just overall a wonderful place to stay!
- Dawn (4/5): - The condo was nice but i asked for early check-in at 4 instead of 5 they said yes i could but check out at 11 so i didnt get my room till 5 so other then that great could use chairs on baloney but none so i rate a 4
- Dalia samantha (8/5): Not quite… - Great location, views & accesible.
If you’re picky about decor or are expecting top luxury this is not it.
I’d say it’s convenient and simple. A few quirks and aesthetic issues, did not look clean when we arrived. There was leftover food in the fridge and bedcovers were stained. Another thing that is a little misleading is that they do add a cleaning fee and a security deposit which is not mentioned when booking. I’m still waiting for my security deposit and it might take 7 days for me to see it back in my account.I didn’t receive proof or a receipts for this, it’s hard not to feel nervous about it because you don’t want to be scammed. So adding that extra touch would be nice.
- TANA (6/5): - Nice view of the parks below and the water beyond. Free parking onsite was great, considering the high cost of parking in Toronto. The location made it easy to access areas of interest to my family. We were able to walk almost everywhere, in a half hour or less from the condo. Although the look and feel of the place did not live up to its "luxury" condo title, having two bathrooms, two bedrooms, kitchen / livingroom/ dining area WAS what my family needed. The balcony was a bonus, that if furnished, may have gotten more attention. Maybe take the luxury part out and say "Downtown Toronto Condo with Water View"would imporove & increase my 3.5 rating. Also please consider better window coverings & fixing the floors. The blinds were cheap and falling and the bedroom curtains weren't hung right. There were multiple gaps between, and nicks in, the floor panels. Also, where the carpet meets the regular flooring to one of the bedrooms, there was something sharp that would stick us in the toes as we crossed the threshhold. Please fix that. Instead of Old Spice as a shower gel, try a neutral brand and smell. Better washcloths should also be provided, as the ones we used felt like microfibre cleaning cloths. Run some liquid draino on a regular basis, as the sinks and showers drained slowly. Consider providing a box or two of tissues, a pair of oven mits, cooking oil or spray, coffee tea, sugar, salt and pepper... and a dust pan. This review speaks to the minimal standards I would ex
- Jon (10/5): Great location and views - Overall our stay was very nice. I know I was a little confused, so I'll start with this booking was for one of many condos that are managed by the host. So we really didn't know where we were staying, but it ended up being an ideal location with an amazing view. The check in was a little cryptic to start as it wasn't clear what exact property we would be at and because it's not a hotel, the host has to meet you in person for check in. The size, view, amenities, and quality were all as advertised. We did have some minor issues as one of the elevators was out of service, which made getting to the 62nd floor challenging at times. There was also a temporary water outage, however the host was very prompt with communication on the issue and it ultimately was only out for a few hours. The pictures are the view from the balcony. We would definitely stay here again.
- Tim (10/5): - Not really luxury. But well equipt and close to rogers center. It was clean and had everything we needed.
- susana (10/5): - Very nice place to stay, parking was nice and safe
- Ryan (10/5): - Great location for anyone looking for an accommodation that's walking distance to the Rogers Centre or Scotiabank Arena.
- Karin (6/5): - Condo centrally located in downtown Toronto. They provided everything that you could need . It was close to many major attractions, transit restaurants, and shops. I would not use Luxury to describe it but It suited what we needed.
- Quan (10/5): Best location and great virw - Enjoy the view very much. Location is great in downtown Toronto.
- Naomi (2/5): Expensive for no air conditioning working! - customer service was very good but definitely wouldnt stay here again...
NO A/C...boiling hot room!
Fob for getting in and out didn't work, so spent lots of wasted time over the weekend trying to get in and out.
- Mehidanil (10/5): - Best view ever! Amazing pictures to take from there. The location is the best of the area. Everything is nearby, groceries, restaurants, CN Tower, Rogers Center baseball park, Union Station, Shopping Center among many other attractions.
The check in and check out process was simple and easy.
- Roxane (2/5): - We found that the property was not as shown on pictures. rugs were gross and couch was filfy, cupboards were falling apart, no covers on light fixtures, blinds did not work. Was very hot inside. toilet would not flush properly. no live tv. Very unkept.
- JOBY (10/5): - We loved the privacy, the view and the safety. There was nothing we didn't like, could use more info regarding type of coffee maker, no toaster etc... But nothing major we really liked it and hope to return.
- Angela (10/5): - Great location! Beautiful view! Kid friendly!
- Jade (2/5): - I stayed there for a month in January. Payed 5000$ - was given a unit with no heat & was told someone would fix it .. which never happend. The owner made complains about things I wasnt responsible for durring my whole stay and kept my 300$ deposit without any notice.I had to get in touch with him mutliple weeks later only for him to refused to provide me with his full name after I said id file a complain to Expedia.
- CAROL (8/5): - Great place to stay for me. Beautiful views of Lake Ontario. I would definitely stay again. I would have liked a box of Kleenex and had to buy a blow dryer. They are reimbursing me though. Good people to deal with !
- Frank (10/5): - Great place to stay, nice and clean. Close to shopping and a simple walk to the lake.
A opinião descrita e do apartamenteo do 25º andar do endereço Dan Leckie Way (foi alterado o endereço um pouco antes do check in)
- Warren (10/5): - Good
- Clayton (10/5): Great stay - It was good Chris was very helpful when he called and walked me through some steps. Place was clean plenty of room for a 2 night stay for 6 of us
- Cara (10/5): - Great condo - we will be returning. The view is unreal.
- Chasa (10/5): - Great response from manager when needed
- Valerie (10/5): - Excellent place, 6 of us stayed here, beautiful view of tower from balcony and any issues were resolved immediately “ pool access” it’s definitely worth the money and we will be back. They have all the necessities so no need to pack any extras. Thanks
- Derek (10/5): - I liked the room itself, its very spacious, clean, comfortable beds, and nice views of the waterfront and CN Tower. Drove from up north and found the parking to be quite easy. Walking distance to everything downtown and would definitely stay again.
- carlie (10/5): - The condo was very clean! Was right in the centre of everything, easy walk to restaurants and shopping.
- Justin (10/5): - A great space for 3 guests for a long weekend.
- Nathan (10/5): Great location - Nice place, great location. You can walk to Ripley's, CN Tower, etc. If you want to be close to the waterfront it is great.
- Chloe (10/5): - This property was absolutely beautiful. Our condo was on the 39th floor and had an AMAZING view of the CN tower and the water, I loved it so much!!!!
- Ashley (8/5): - Overall experience was good. Spacious enough for my stay.
Wished there was more cleanliness in the bathroom and tub.
Needed more towels and kitchen supplies (dish soap) and toiletries.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful place. Lights were not functioning but host was pleasant and helpful.
- Abbey (10/5): - Very nice and clean place. Very convenient if visiting downtown Toronto!
- Ally (10/5): - Great place to stay. Very clean with a nice view from the balcony. The owner Chris is very nice!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We got in late and at first the condo looked very clean and well put together. Upon trying to close the blinds, there were many missing. The toilet was clogged from the get go (a plumber arrived early am but we had no toilet all thru the night, with 6 peole). Communication was very good and the check in/check out was easy.
- Andre (8/5): - For our family of 3, it was a good size. Well equipped kitchen. Clean. Lake view. Great location near transit, grocery store, coffee shops. Close to lake bike path. Would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner is very kind, property has awesome location and spectacular view, no need to go CN tower when I stay here. Beds are very compy and nice smart screen for watching movie. It was memorable stay for life.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - First I just want to say our stay was adequate and met our needs. Location is great and the view is awesome I would stay here again.
However this property is listed as “Luxury” and is far from it. Screen door off its hinges, kitchen drawer missing, big scuff marks on the walls and the tv console sits out on the floor because it’s too big for the space. Again I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here but don’t think your staying at the Royal York.
- raquel (10/5): - we stayed at 151 Dan Leckie Way and so far we were satisfied with our unit still looks new and we liked the lake view .. location is close to CN tower and aquarium, rogers centre , lake shore and union station just walking distance away from those areas..not so far to entertainment district too..just needs a little bit of fixing in the washroom leak on the floor but not so much..this condo has 2 washrooms and 2 bedrooms which makes our stay more comfortable..Chris so far has been very helpful
- Chris (8/5): - Owner was quick to respond to questions. Location was excellent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Positioned on 39th floor with uninterrupted views across lake shore to island and local airport . Spectacular day and night .
Conveniently positioned for various local restaurants and reasonable access ( short walk) to excellent public tram system
- YONG SEONG (2/5): They overbooked but did not refund yet. - They overbooked the room and I had to retrun to home. I requestd to refund but they did not refund yet.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location, close to downtown and public transit.
- Natalee (2/5): Dont stay here! - Absolutley terrible. Both on condos part and hotels.clm for doing nothing for us and leaving my family stranded in Toronto.
This condo is falsely advertised and literally a scam. It is listed as a 2 bedroom, with sofa bed, luxury condo with lake view.
It is NONE of those things. It is a 2 bedroom with double beds and no sofa bed. A leather ish couch not suitable to sleep on.
This is someones house and all of their stuff was in it. Dirty dishes. Filthy dirty. And not enough beds to go around for my family. The so called view is of another building. It is on 3rd floor above a university bar that plays loud music say and night.
We contacted hotels.com immediately and they told us to take it up with the building manager. Who is a complete jerk and lied not only to us but hotels.com saying we agreed to stay in this condo.
They called the next day and told us they would "try" and find us a new place to stay. Obviously a little too little, way too late.
Disturbing that hotels.com will list properties that are lies and not stand behind it!
We have to now file with BBB and dispute with out credit card for this shameful and disgusting situation.
I had pictures to display how gross this condo was but it wont let me upload them. Surprise surprise.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The view was amazing as the streets of Toronto are non stop. I had expected to be on the 12th floor and ended up on the 39th - My stomach did not enjoy it (: But the rest of the family did :) . Even tho we did not spend much time in the room, we could not get the TV services to work on any programme, this was the only downfall.
- Tony (2/5): Bad air B nB - I paid $333 CAD for this Condo 2 BD 1 Bath ( price was like 5 stars hotels) is a air BnB house.it No counter service( self services) parking garage was hard to find the parking #,this Condo was in very bad shape all windows missed blinds. coffee maker was not work, bedding supplies are cheap, the room I sleep blanket has odd smell, bath room has only one open used soap bar. shampoo n hair conditioner was out. just 2 shower towels. the location is next to rail roads station it is very noisy and Manager Christ wasn't nice. When you look at they are add picture on hotels.com seems like have good view with lake Toronto but it's not. It just not worth to stay.
