Belinda (10/5): A lovely place to stay in Franschhoek - We had a fabulous stay. The house was much larger than we expected and our family of 6 were very comfortable. The beds were really comfortable and each bedroom had an en-suite. Marlicia and Louis are charming hosts and gave us many local recommendations, helping with taxis and Drs. The pool was lovely and so peaceful. It’s a little walk into town but just as easy to drive and park on one of the many side streets. We visited the village market and the Huguenot museum - both worth it. Thank you.

Pamela (10/5): An excellent 3 night stay - Everything was good, the owner Marlicia was so friendly and helpful, the petit cottage was bright and airy, spotlessly clean and had everything you needed with little extras. The lady housekeepers were all very friendly and worked very hard. The pool area had sunbeds and parasols, patio furniture, cushions, and a beautiful garden cared for by the two helpful gardeners. We we able to walk into the centre for restaurants and shopping and enjoyed a tuk tuk trip around 4 vineyards which I would highly recommend, really good fun. We also walked to Mont Rochelle for lunch. Nothing to dislike

Phylis (10/5): A perfectly exceptional stay with thoughtful touches everywhere. - The property was immaculately clean and neat upon arrival. We were so pleased to find a cozy fireplace with firewood provided, which made for a perfect evening. The host has truly thought of everything. The kitchen was a dream, stocked with all the necessary cooking gadgets, milk in the fridge, and the most fabulous homemade oat biscuits—they even shared the recipe! The bathroom was just as impressive, supplied with everything we could possibly need, including sunscreen. Check-in was seamless, and having our own key for the automatic gate made coming and going incredibly easy and secure. The best part, however, was the "Forgotten Anything Box." This was a lifesaver, filled with essentials like painkillers, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and even antacids (see photos). It’s a small detail that shows an immense level of care for their guests. We felt so welcomed and looked after. Highly, highly recommend! Nothing

Wood was available and craft beer at the property for a small extra fee if used. Cleaning was included and we absolutely loved the electric blankets in the very cold winter nights. Showers were amazing and everything is quite modern with a cosy feel. Would definitely stay again. That we couldn't stay longer

Gorgeous garden, shared pool area with outdoor braai and wood fired pizza oven. Secure parking next to house with electric gate. Heat/AC wall units in all 3 bedrooms, plus electric blanket kept us warm at night…fireplace with wood to heat living room. All 3 bedrooms have bathrooms with double head showers in modern frameless glass showers….soaps, towels and robes in each. Master also has a bathtub with bubbles. Lovely owner that was very responsive to any questions. Also gave us a bottle of wine, milk, jam, butter, rusks, granola, candy and lots of spices, plus oil and balsamic. Kitchen had everything and more available for cooking. Highly recommend and would love to return! Only has a washing machine and had to dry clothes outside. A dryer would be helpful.

Anne (10/5): A truly memorable stay in terms of how comfortable and well looked after we were - We stayed in Le Petit Plaisir, the separate cottage. It could not have been more comfortable and was kitted out with all sorts of things most places would not think of providing, including a box of very useful things designed to assist if anything essential had been left at home. Our hostess was very welcoming and kept in touch throughout without being intrusive. The homemade goodies and milk, butter etc provided were appreciated. The location is perfect - a 10-minute walk into town but away from the hustle and bustle, and in a very picturesque residential area. We highly recommend this place. We can't think of anything that could have been better.
Stephen (10/5): Just perfect! - Beautiful property, thoughtfully decorated. Lots of internal space with everything you need for a comfortable stay and more (including home made baked goods!). The gardens and pool area are amazing. What made the stay was the owner, who was incredibly responsive to queries, gave us the perfect suggestions for activities and restaurants, and was just so lovely and accommodating, which made my father’s birthday celebrations special. Nothing!

The attention to detail was 100% and it was perfect for our short stay. Sadly the weather didn't allow us to make use of the pool and loungers this time, but it would have been a great place to relax outdoors.
Scott (10/5): Beautiful - We spent five nights in the petite apartment, which is beautiful, spacious and very well equipped. Lovely gardens, swimming pool and a braai. The maintenance and cleaning is to a very high standard, WiFi worked well. It’s well located in a quiet / safe area, pleasant walk to an abundance of great restaurants, cafes and wine bars. Highly recommend a visit, we’ll be back!

Access to garden , pool and patio. Close enough to walk down to the main road but lovely to run around the dam and side roads . There is construction at the house next door to which is noisy but able to reduce the noise by closing the windows . Hostess was accommodating and allowed us a later check out . Warm and friendly and would love to return for a longer stay One has to understand that construction is part of life and may have an temporary impact

The kitchen, in particular, is large and well equipped so self catering is easy. Host, Marlicia, is delightful and welcomed us with a complimentary bottle of wine and provided various other basic food items. The gardens are beautiful, the pool and outdoor area well maintained and the property secure. All in all, this is a great place to stay! Having to leave!

Clare (9/5): Home from home - Such a tranquil place , a hidden gem. Lois and Marlicia are the perfect hosts. The homemade cookies were lovely , the property had everything that you needed . Marlicia was very helpful and also gave us the number of a local driver ,Johnny, who was great ! We loved Marlicia’s recommendation to eat at Reuben’s! An absolute delight The builders next door started early and were noisy . Nothing to do with Marlicia and Lois, but maybe the neighbouring property owner should consider that there is a rental property next door and should ask the builders to respect that
