JENEEN (4/5): Disappointing on this occasion due to a lower standard 3 bedroom apartment with cheap fitout. - The reception staff are always amazing and the general amenities and location are excellent. I have stayed at these apartments on several occasions, always in a 3 bedroom apartment. During this stay, we were allocated apartment number 66, which was not anywhere near the standard and condition of the previous 3 bedroom apartments we have stayed in at this building. Unfortunately, the main bedroom bed was extremely uncomfortable (a thin cheap mattress on a wooden bed frame base and extremely low), the lounge room couch was also very cheap, very low, unsupportive and in poor condition, and the main dining room chairs were uncomfortable and clearly did not match the dining table (the chairs were far too low for the high set table). The ensuite bathroom was also very worn, not particularly clean, and the mirror was worn and falling apart. Given the relatively high cost of staying at these apartments, a much higher standard is expected. The previous 3 bedroom apartments that we have stayed in were of a much higher standard and had much better furnishings. This particular apartment is due for a makeover and should not be rented out at the same rates in its current condition. My brother also rented a 2 bedroom apartment during the same stay timeframe, an unfortunately, the standard/condition of this apartment was also disappointing. We are hoping that if we stay at these apartments again that we will be provided with an apartment more in line with the standard of previous 3 apartments we have rented.

The new tram extension 50m away will be done by July apparently too. Missing a few things that would help for a 5 night stay like oven gloves, salt and pepper and cooking oil .

The apartment had even convenience I could think of! It was beautifully decorated, good view and felt very "homely". We loved it and I definitely plan on coming back again! The staff were really lovely as well! They took great care of us. My only criticism was the cleanliness. The kitchen had small cockroaches (we saw 3) and some of the cupboards looked as though they hadn't been cleaned out or wiped out in... a while. And we felt sandy on the floor throughout and in the beds a bit too. Aside from that, the shower head in one of the bathrooms sprayed out in all directions (not supposed to) so I assume its needs replacing. But these are minor things and overall we really enjoyed our stay and will come back! Hopefully next time to get the FULL ocean view (and not the partial) :)

Incredible location and reception staff was lovely! The cleanliness was questionable. Heaps of dust under side tables and bed (if you’re allergic like me- you notice) and a couple glass rings on surfaces. I washed any kitchen item again before using it as I don’t love that it is up to the previous guest to clean. The bed has only a sheet and a thin blanket at the foot. I also didn’t trust that the blanket had been washed between guests. A couple of the throw pillows had food marks on them too. I don’t love that guests are expected to take their own garbage out. Feels a bit weird for a place you are paying to rent for a few nights. First two nights there were major construction hammerings happening on the road below- not the hotels fault but certainly worth considering as I had no idea and couldn’t actually sleep til 4am first night.

Simone (6/5): Location was ideal. Room was not up to standard. - Great location only 5-10 minute walk into the centre of burleigh. The beach is across the road and the facilities in the complex (gym, pool and spa) were great. We were also able to make use of the pool for the remainder of the day after checkout. The room was a complete let down, especially for what we had paid. The apartment was not very clean, so much so we had to ask for the cleaners to return. It is like the apartment had a very minimal service clean. The staff at reception were helpful and accomdating our requests. Some additional insights: the safe was broken (whilst the staff offered the one in the office they reception hours were limited. They did get a brand new safe delivered the following day). On the second night under the desk we found a ladies lacey top from someone elses stay (gross). The bathrooms were not very clean and there was mould on the floor tiles and soap scum on the shower screens. The couches and carpets were stained and marked. Whilst I understand it is hard to keep a balcony clean right next to the beach the glass and floor had not been cleaned for some time. There was a horrible smell coming out of the fridge and when we arrived in the room for the first 2 days there was a smell as if someone had left a dirty babies nappy in the apartment. It is disappointing as we have stayed previously (but in an AirBnb and had a great time) but this experience was not enjoyable.

Gail (7/5): Beautiful views and stunning apartment. - Modern and clean with everything you would need for your stay. Lovely pool area and reception kindly provided pool towels to use during our stay. Not the property’s fault but the overnight ongoing tram building works were very, very noisy (even on the top floor) and you could feel vibrations from the work. This resulted in a disturbed sleep. We were not advised in advance of this planned ongoing work. This is the only reason we have marked our stay as a 7. If no works had been going on then a 10 as the apartment was stunning and staff very friendly and helpful.
