• Claudio Salvatore (10/5): Honestly, just book it. This place is insane! - I can’t recommend this place enough. We’ve stayed in quite a few rentals, but this one is on another level. The house is actually insane, it’s super spacious and feels much bigger than the photos suggest. It’s also incredibly well-equipped; we had everything we needed and more. The location is the real winner, though: The Lava Pools: Literally a 3-minute walk. The Supermarket: Only 2 minutes away. It was such a lifesaver for snacks and drinks. The supermarket has a takeout section with excellent, cheap food. We ended up grabbing lunch there a couple of times and eating back at the villa to enjoy the space. If you’re looking for a spot in Porto Moniz, stop searching and just stay here. We’re already trying to figure out when we can come back!

• Elaine (10/5): Beautiful place and fantastic location - Location is perfect. Beautiful place. Excellent amenities. Ants!!! Small tv (We watched Christmas movies and are used to a bigger screen.) Bad weather meant we stayed in more than usual.
• Katrin (10/5): Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt in einem tollen Haus! - Das war ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt in einem tollen Haus. Unser Gastgeber Gabriel empfing uns so freundlich, erklärte uns alles, hatte uns im Vorfeld schon sehr viele Tipps für mögliche Unternehmungen geschickt und uns sogar noch mit Wein und Früchten beschenkt, vielen Dank! Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll im portugiesischen Stil eingerichtet, hat alles, was man in Küche etc. braucht und bietet einen großen, schönen Garten und im 1. Stock eine sagenhafte Aussicht aufs Meer. Die Lage ist sehr gut, nahe an Restaurants, Supermarkt und an den Pools gelegen und es gibt eine Garage, was ganz toll war. Wenn wir wieder nach Madeira fliegen, buchen wir dieses Haus, wir haben es sehr genossen! -
• Julius (10/5): - Die Villa ist wunderschön und absolut sauber, mit liebevollen portugiesischen Akzenten in der Einrichtung und einem sehr schön angelegten Garten. Die Lage ist hervorragend und bietet einen großartigen Blick auf den Ozean. Es hat uns wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über die Möglichkeit, im privaten Garagenparkplatz zu parken. Sehr nah an zwei Supermärkten, Restaurants, Geschäften und der Hauptattraktion von Porto Moniz, den natürlichen Meeresschwimbecken. Gabriel ist ein außergewöhnlich freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, von dem wir viele nützliche Informationen erhalten haben. Wir haben diesen wunderbaren Ort nur ungern verlassen und würden sehr gerne in Zukunft zurückkehren. Besten Dank Gabriel.

Gabriel welcomed us upon arrival, explained everything about the house, provided valuable tips. Ideal host!

We felt very privileged to have stayed at Porto Moniz Villa, which must surely be the best accommodation in the resort! We made the most of the villa’s superb location, relaxing by the natural pools, and enjoying dining at local restaurants in the evening. There was nothing to dislike about this property.

• Gernot (10/5): - Lage ist optimal im Zentrum von Porto Moniz, 2 Minuten Gehzeit zu den Naturschwimmbädern. 2 Supermärkte 1 Minute zu Fuß entfernt. Luxuriöse Ausstattung der Villa und des Gartens. Sehr herzlicher Empfang durch die Gastgeber Teresa und Gabriel, die sich immer wieder nach unserem Wohl erkundigt haben. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen !!!
• Bernd (10/5): Tolle 2 Wochen in einem wunderschönen Haus. - Tolle Villa, zentrale und sichere Lage. Ausstattung zeitgemäß und vollständig. Sehr freundliche und herzliche Übergabe durch die Vermieter. Nachts ruhig, erholsamer Schlaf. Blick auf den Atlantik. Garten/Aussenanlage mit vielen verschiedenen Bereichen (Grill, Liegen, Hängematten etc.) lädt zum Verweilen ein, nach zb. Ausflug. Kleinigkeit: Temperatur Mischer der Dusche funktioniert nicht mehr richtig, Temperatur lässt sich schwer dosieren und Wasser an/abschalten. Kann aber leicht ausgetauscht werden und mindert unseren sehr positiven Gesamteindruck nicht.

• Honza (10/5): - Naprosto nádherná a opravdu plně vybavená vila. Překrásné městečko Porto Moniz, výhled přes zahradu s palmami na oceán, restaurace Café Sardinha, kde dělají skvělé pokrmy z ryb je 100 m. Obchod na dohled a otevřeno každý den. Určitě se vrátíme !!! Není co vytknout !!!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and just wish it could have been for longer. We especially appreciated how well equipped it was for our baby, with a cot and high chair provided, as well as the most beautiful garden to crawl around.

Gabriel and Teresa were very welcoming and cheerful, we noticed how much they live this family house and want the best for guests when they leave the house to them. There was a heat wave when we arrived which is atypical, so they got us fans the next morning. The location was terrific, both away from the day crowds at the pools but super close to the pools and the restaurants / grocery. The home was well appointed and the kitchen had everything you could need. Real treasure!

• Barbora (10/5): Exceptional - Where to start? The villa has by far exceeded our expectations. It is gorgeous, beautifully designed and decorated. This has been much more than a regular holiday house to us. My son ran around the villa like a crazy happy squirell every day. The house is very spacious and there is lots of area for the children. There were moments when we didn't want to go on a planned trip but stay there and just rest :D The rock pool (Natural swimming pool) is just around the corner, so you can go to swim there anytime you wish. You also definitely has to go to Seixal beach (one of the most beautiful in Europe), which is located just 15 minutes by car. We left the house rested and happy. I highly recommend to stay in this villa. I loved everything! :)

Tastefully decorated, absolutely lovely and close to all amenities. The sea is a few minutes walk and the grocery store almost next door. Clearly the best part of our two weeks in Madeira.

• Graham (10/5): The Porto Moniz villa - a gem! - The villa is superb with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The location is ideal and it's just 2 mins walk to the bathing pools and a good selection of restaurants. Highly recommended. The owners (Gabriel and Teresa) were there to welcome us and explained how everything worked - very friendly and kept in touch during our 5 night stay to check that we were happy 😊. Nothing - would love to take the villa home!!!

• Dagmar (5/5): Passable - Porto Moniz is good for 1, maximum of 2 days. It is good to visit, but not stay. But the villa is spacious and good for adults. For kids, it is a lot of danger, but it is a good place to stay. Porto Moniz is a tourist spot, so every day the big buses full of people come to the piscinas and if you want to swim there, you have to wait in the big queue. And there is no possibility to swim in the open sea, just in piscinas. There are also piscinas for free, but it is also full of people. They are coming there and back... It is a good place to visit, but not for staying. You are all the time in a mass of tourists and no relax, because the big buses still coming. Absolutely no private, also because of the apartment on the opposite street if we sit in the garden and they look at us. Also we had a problem with the owner. It was my mistake. I thought we book all-villa, but there is pay for a person. So 1 night was with us my mum because of the late flight and we also had to take our 2 years child with us. Of course, we told it to the nice lady, who made the checkout. After the owner wrote us, he wants 25 euros per each for every night. I was a little bit in bad mood, 25 euro per night per child 2 years... But I checked in Booking and it was right, child from 2 years has to pay. Finally, he wrote us he wants only 25 euros per my mum night, not for the child. But the day after, he wrote, he wants 75 euro per my mum. She was not there, the lady from check-in had to control it. It was unpleasant. You are on holiday, you don´t want to be controlled if somebody stays in your villa or no.... After the lady told us we can leave the luggage in the garage 1 hour extra after check out and after told us, the owner is very furious because of it... It was an unpleasant stay because of the arrogant behavior. We made the mistake, we told we will pay the extra money, but it was we can solve it in a more friendly way.
