- Steven (9/5): Historic, Comfortable Hotel inside the Walls of Lucca - This charming hotel is inside the walls of Lucca. There is a free parking lot an easy walk away. One of the main streets is 50 meters outside the door. The staff texted daily to see if we needed anything, and provided everything we needed. The City walls are right around the corner, and you can get almost anywhere inside the walls in a 15 minute walk. This is a charming place to stay; we spent a week and would definitely stay again if we return to Lucca.

- Kevin (10/5): - This property is in perfect walking distance to many shops and restaurants in the historic area of Lucca. The room was beautiful and the shutters opened to the street below. Large bathroom with all the amenities. The place was very clean; bed and pillows were comfy. Communication leading up to the day of our arrival was excellent. However, we struggled to get a response on the day of arriving to confirm our arrival time. We ended up going to the property at the time we requested and there was someone there to greet us. She was lovely and professional and very helpful, it just would have been nice to get a confirmation of our check-in time on that day. Check-in was via codes which was nice not to have to carry a key around. Overall a wonderful place to stay. We would definitely stay here again even with the uncertainty of check-in time.

At night there was music and performances around every corner. I wish we had had another day or two to spend here. We were in the Green Room which was lovely, clean and well put together.

Great welcome with ample information about Lucca provided. Be aware this is sn old building, so no lift and windy stairs.

We agreed if we could design a house around the "Green Room" we would be ecstatic! Such an amazing attention to detail and character. Beyond that, the location is perfect for a visit to Lucca with easy access to the major restaurants and city wall walking paths. Only regret is that we didn't have more time there!

The accommodation was very helpful in allowing us into the room early on our arrival day. The Green Room was at the top of the building with a lot of stairs to climb. This might cause some issues for people getting up all the stairs.

- David (10/5): Superb accommodation in Lucca ideally situated - This was superb accommodation, which was beautifully designed and appointed. Great location close to city walls, bike hire, bars and restaurants. Can’t fault it. For UK travellers there was only one suitable plug socket.

No staff on site but called girl who would arrive 30 minutes. After 15 box reset and we got in that was the only hiccup

Romantic, atmospheric and s really caring host. - The location is perfect and the ambience is great - had we known how good it was we would have booked for longer! A real benefit was meeting the owner to check in. Rebekah not only demonstrated her pride in the property and in Lucca as a place, she also gave us excellent tips about where to eat and what to do. It’s a place where we will return - and so will you! Nothing!

- Igor (2/5): Very bad customer service from an unfriendly host. - room was nice and clean, beds were very comfortable the host sent me a message on a day of my arrival that check in should be before 7 pm as they close at that time. I was very surprised, and sent a screenshot of my booking to a host where it says that after 7 pm there will be a self check in. In response the host said that she will allow it only if I pay city tax 3 euro per person with my credit card before I arrive, or i will not be allowed to enter the property. This was so unfriendly and ridiculous. I have stayed in hundreds of guest houses and have never heard anything like that. When we arrived, it was very hot in the unit since a heater was on. I texted the host asking where a remote control for AC is but she never responded. The worst part was driving to the house which is located in old town and requires permission to enter which the host requsted from the city. She sent me the instructions how to enter and exit through the same gates to avoid a penalty but those instructions were poorly written and impossible to follow. As a result, i had to exit via a different gate. When I asked the host to call the city and explain what happened so i can avoid getting a penalty, she refused.

- Debbie (10/5): - Excellent location inside the walls. Free Parking outside the walls, 7 minutes walking. Room is big and comfortable, very clean. Rebecca, the owner, is charming and helpful. We stayed 4 nights, and would love to come back again.

- Kristin (8/5): - The owner was gracious and kind, the room was beautiful, and the location was perfect. The bed was the most comfortable we slept on during 2 weeks of travel across Europe. The coffee was incredible and one of the best we had during our travels. The only issue we had was that the heat didn’t work so it was very cold in the morning when we got out of bed. We let the owner know and she was responsive and apologetic and had someone out to repair it that day. We truly loved our stay here and highly recommend it.
- Mary (10/5): - This is a beautiful, wonderful hotel. We stayed in the green room with our two kids. The entire hotel smells amazing and is extremely clean. The beds were by far the most comfortable we had on our weeklong trip to Italy and the decor and setup is perfect. I highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed.

Recommended! - Great location on a quiet street just off main shopping street and round the corner from the Campo Antitheatro. Warm welcome. Beautifully decorated, cosy room. One of the nicest and most charming I’ve ever stayed in. Coffee machine and fridge with mini bar facilities. Large monsoon shower. Two comfy armchairs to relax in. A very relaxing place to stay - perfect base for exploring Lucca. I would thoroughly recommend. Occasional strong whiff of ‘drains’ coming from bathroom. However it’s a very old building and sometimes they have issues like that. It didn’t spoil my stay. Minor issue!
