• Skirita (5/5): Für eine Nacht ok - Die Lage war sehr gut, um den Eurotunnel zu erreichen. Auch gab es gute Lokale in der Nähe sowie einen Supermarkt. Das Zimmer war einigermaßen ok. Kostenloser Parkplatz vor der Tür Suzanna war nicht gerade ein Ausbund an Freundlichkeit. Obwohl wir im vereinbarten Zeitraum ankamen, standen wir eine Weile vor der Tür, bevor uns nach mehrfachem Klingeln und Klopfen geöffnet wurde. Die Matratzen im Bett waren sehr veraltet, z.T. noch mit Sprungfedern. Das Bad war extrem klein, ohne Waschbecken, das sich im Zimmer befand. Es gab 2 große Badetücher, aber nur 1 Handtuch. Das Frühstück wurde im sehr kalten und ungemütlichen Hausflur serviert. Die Garderobe dort war vollgehängt mit mehreren Schichten Mänteln und am Boden lag ein unordentlich Haufen verschiedener benutzter Schuhe herum.

Mit Frühstück stand bei booking.com, aber wir haben kein Frühstück bekommen. Die Gastgeberin sagte, sie habe nichts im Haus. Die Gastgeberin angetrunken. Ein Handtuch fehlte und es gab nur ein Päcken Milch auf dem Zimmer.

• Annie (5/5): - It was in a convenient location for a friends birthday celebrations. The room was warm and comfortable. The property was very dated and needs some updating. We had to step over wooden beams and down into the bathroom. The staff had a lot of trouble with the payment system.

• Ian (7/5): The guest house was perfectly placed for my needs. When I arrived, I was made to feel I’d done something wrong by not le - The room was clean and comfortable. There is a step up and over into the bathroom, placed to cover some pipe work. I tripped on it during the night as it’s quite difficult to negotiate in the dark.

• jo (9/5): We had a very pleasant enjoyable stay at Sunny Bank and would certainly book again and recommend to - The location was ideal for the purpose of our visit to Hythe. Having arrived by car we were able to leave it parked and moved around on foot. The breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and plentiful. Our host was very welcoming and was able to recommend local eateries as we arrived early evening. We had difficulty with the tv but that was a minor detail.

The furniture including the bed all looked old and would be better placed on a charity shop. It’s over priced for room . We didn’t take breakfast, but if we had you had to eat in the hallway. Overall we wouldn’t recommend.

• Jwmadras (7/5): Pre Tunnel Overnighter - We were travelling to France and used this as an overnight stay before an early tunnel crossing. It is located perfectly for the tunnel and at the same time an easy walk to local pubs and restaurants for an evening meal. A little overpriced for the dated furnishing, decor an OK breakfast. The convenient location is the selling point.

• Olga (10/5): Good experience. - I stayed in the hotel one night. It was the nearest available hotel for my pick-up point of Europe coach holiday (Stop 24 Folkestone Services). The hotel is close to a bus stop and Waitrose supermarket. There is a microwave in the hotel which you can use to warm up food. I didn't have breakfast because I started very early in the morning. The owner Susanna kindly agreed to give me a lift to my pick-up point, which was very helpful and I highly appreciated it.  What else can I add? The bed was comfy. No problems with water and the shower. Lovely landscaped garden on the front of the house. The most important thing is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the house.

• Michael (8/5): A comfortable house with much thought given to guests' needs and high quality breakfasts. Thank you - The location was excellent - just the job as a base for seeing friends and easy to get to, with access to restaurants just a short walk away. The breakfasts were superb and just as I'd requested - no faults there. My only criticism was the lack of a light to shave by and rather dimly lit main lights and side lights. Electric shaving was difficult because of the absence of a light, and really done by guesswork, while the lighting in the main part of the room made reading difficult.

The location was great and the view from the window was lovely. Everything was clean and neat. Breakfast was delicious and worth every penny. Everything was lovely. If I had to complain about something it would be that the mattress was a little too hard for me, but that’s a very individual preference. The important thing is that it was all very clean and everything I needed was available.

Won’t recommend . - Chose it for its convenience to the channel tunnel for my son and myself. Unsuitable motorbike parking , having asked if there was any. Which caused major issues. The host was not helpful. In fact outright rude : using F words at us on numerous occasions. Not what you want at the end of a long drive. She was offensive and abrupt. She tried to handle one of our very heavy bikes to move it in anger. I told her leave it or you’ll have it fall on you. I could go on!

• Al (8/5): Very good - It is in an excellent location at the East end of the old town. Convenient for exploring this delightful place. Our room was spacious and well appointed, and there was a guest lounge as well. There are good food outlets within walking distance for dinner, and breakfast was good. Despite coming up on Booking.com as a Bed and Breakfast, we arrived to find that breakfast wasn't included and had to pay extra for it. Not the fault of the proprieter, but be aware when you book.
