- Maria (10/5): Paradise ❤️ - After our holiday in the Maldives was coming to an end, we decided to stop by Joali Maldives for one night on our way home, just to check out this magical place we had heard so much about. Where do I even begin… From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and introduced to the island by our amazing Jadugar, Raai. He made the orientation engaging and inspiring, and throughout our stay ensured everything felt effortless — always anticipating our needs and making things happen before we even had to ask. We were then taken to our water villa, which was spacious, very private, and cosy. A special thank you to Nawaf, the Rooms Division Manager, for making sure everything related to our villa and comfort was perfectly arranged, including our special requests. Very quickly we realised one night would not be enough, and we extended our stay for four more days. During our stay, we were invited to sunset cocktails with the management — one of the highlights. We met General Manager Shifaz, his Assistant Adam, as well as Nawaz and Anas. We kept seeing them throughout our stay, always attentive and making sure everything was perfect. Many other team members also contributed greatly, even if we didn’t catch all the names. The culinary experience was outstanding. Under the management of Alito, all four restaurants delivered at a high level. The variety and quality were impressive, and Baka was always nearby with great recommendations — thank you again for the special cocktails that you kindly offered to us. We also really enjoyed the dishes prepared by Sous Chef Gamze, especially the shashlik — so tasty that we even asked for the recipe. Sommelier James was excellent — knowledgeable and attentive. Overall, the experience felt warm, personal, and almost family-like. We would wholeheartedly recommend this magical place and will surely come back. See you soon, Joali family! Rooms: so tastefully designed, attention to detail is extreme, hygiene outstanding, beautiful furniture, large private pool and direct turquoise sea access… it leaves nothing to wish for! The property: stunning! Extremely well kept, stunning architecture, 4 restaurants to chose from, bar, pool, art… it has it all! So far so very standard to be expected from any type of top end luxury resort. But here comes the twist: the staff. Let me repeat: THE STAFF! Every guest gets a personal butler. He will welcome you directly at the jetty, give you a tour of the property, organise your restaurant itinerary, arrange for a wide selection of cushions, bring you to your villa, have snorkelling gear ready in your size, be your Uber driver, and do the check-in/out for you in the villa. In our case, Raai was our personal angel, a true Mr. Magic! Nothing he didn’t make happen for us, no wish remained unanswered, he REALLY made the difference. Thank you so much for all your efforts! Delivered in such a distinguished and calm way. The level of hospitality, service, warmth, smiles, competence, skill, attention to detail, passion and friendliness is breathtaking. Joali manages to take hospitality to a whole new level. Not a single request or wish we had was ever met with a ‚no’. The entire management team invests hours of their time every day to look after the guests. They connect with you. Get to know you. Remember any preference you might mention during a conversation. And use it to please you, in such a unique, thoughtful and elegant way. Just when you thought there is no way the previous attention can possibly be topped… they find another overwhelming gesture stealing your hearts! You don’t feel like a customer on this island, but like a family member. Absolutely everybody is 100% committed to the guests happiness, every day, every second of your stay. In every luxury hotel, the experience is normally over when leaving the entry door. Not at Joali! After leaving the island, we were pampered and fully looked after in their own airport lounge waiting for our long haul connection flight. A nice touch and truly enjoyable. They will take care of your luggage, serve you fine food and drinks, and you can freshen up with a shower. Things like this really make the difference. To cut it short: the Joali team have created something magic on this island. Yes - it comes at its price tag, but once you get to experience it, you’ll simply fall in love - we sure did! So much indeed we will not even research alternatives when returning to the Maledives. Congrats to the entire team for creating such a top-end luxury experience. We will happily watch you grow further and firmly establish your name as a benchmark luxury brand in the hospitality business. Inevitably. The outdoor private pools in the water villas are very big. Even the drinking water is subjected to double osmosis which was very important for me. Hotel was perfectly clean and the service was done with excellent to the smallest detail. The whole hotel crew at Joali was very nice and helpful. The overall hotel experience was fantastic. Our butler was Sholpan, very helpful and the best one in the whole resort. She fulfilled all our “whims” in a matter of minutes. Definitely will come back.

The staff here is absolutely amazing - they go above and beyond to make you feel like royalty. The food is incredible, and all the servers and hostesses are so friendly. Utu was especially warm and welcoming. They even remember your name and what activities you did the day before! Our meal at Saoke was the best sushi and sashimi we’ve ever had! They truly care about you and make you feel like family. Our butler, Shaanté, was especially exceptional. He was always there to help us with anything we needed, from new fins for snorkeling to a GoPro for our excursion. Every time we left our bungalow, the housekeeping crew would come by and make sure everything was tidy. The happy hours were amazing, and our bartender, Trevo, made the best watermelon margaritas or “Joagaritas” we’ve ever had! DJ Alisa knew how to set the mood with the perfect tunes, no matter if we were relaxing by the beach or dancing the night away. The scenery here is absolutely breathtaking. There were the most beautiful fish and corals right outside our beach bungalow that you could see with the masks and fins. We went on a snorkeling excursion to see dolphins and sea turtles - memories we’ll cherish forever. The main island is a tropical paradise that you can easily explore on the bikes they provide. They even gave us a farewell gift as we were about to board the plane. My wife cried as we left. They really make you feel like family. I can’t recommend Joali Maldives enough. Thank you Joali! Our butler Nouha was thoughtful and always ready to help, which made everything so smooth. Yuni gave me a fantastic massage at the Jolia Being Cure that left me completely relaxed. The villa was stunning – waking up to that endless ocean view was something I’ll never forget. Snorkeling right outside our room we spotted so many colorful fish, and cycling around the island was such a joy with the scenery being beautiful everywhere you look. At the breakfast buffet, Yapo gave us a special noodle dish and also gave us a last day suprise pancake, which was such a kind and memorable gesture. We also really enjoyed Adam’s stargazing and Eliza’s yoga – both added something special to our trip. And of course, a big thank you to Peter from the mariner center for being so friendly. We joined a dolphin cruise which was magical, and we also did a custom manta ray trip – riding jetskis out to the ocean and then snorkeling alongside manta rays was simply incredible. Every single staff member we met was welcoming and genuine. Joali isn’t just gorgeous – it’s the people here that make it truly unforgettable.

We have traveled extensively to places like Bali, London, Tokyo, and Paris, and stayed at some of the best resorts around the world, but nothing compares to what Joali delivered. Its recent accolades are absolutely well deserved, and its high ranking is no surprise. From the moment we arrived, the level of detail and care was astonishing. Little touches made us feel truly seen, like discovering bookmarks placed in our books, or how staff noticed my wife enjoying a particular type of local chips at the bar and then surprised us with a bag in our villa. Those thoughtful details set the tone for the entire stay. The experiences were unforgettable. One evening we had a private astrology session with a state-of-the-art telescope that amazed us with its precision. Afterwards we watched Crazy Rich Asians on a giant screen set up for a private beach movie night, which became one of our favorite memories. My wife indulged in multiple spa treatments, including an inspiring session with the artist-in-residence where they created two unique art pieces together - which now hang in our home. Even something as simple as the "pillow menu" elevated our stay, and the comfort was unmatched. The food was extraordinary. Every meal was next level, with flawless service and presentation. We employ over 100 people in the food service industry, so it takes a lot for us to be impressed. Joali’s service was not only impressive, it was world class, the finest we have ever experienced. One of the most remarkable aspects of Joali is its setting. The atoll is extraordinarily private, and each day when we stepped out into our overwater villa we saw only the vast open ocean. No speedboats, no passing boats at all, just uninterrupted serenity. We would swim in our pool morning or night, and there was no one to be seen or heard—just the sound of the ocean, pure peace and privacy. As someone who values quiet and space, it was absolute paradise. And on a more practical note, one of my biggest pet peeves is mosquitoes. Joali employs an eco-friendly system that has essentially eliminated mosquitoes from the entire island. It may sound small, but it made an enormous difference in the comfort of our stay, especially compared to many tropical resorts where mosquitoes are a constant nuisance. We were also given a behind-the-scenes tour of the staff facilities, which were truly first-class. It was inspiring to see that Joali treats its employees like family, not just staff—providing perks such as their own pool, gym, and beautiful accommodations. Knowing that the people who made our trip so special are cared for at such a high level made our stay even more meaningful. It was clear that everyone genuinely enjoyed working there, and that joy was reflected in the exceptional service we experienced. For families considering Joali, the children’s offerings are just as intentional and extraordinary. When we visited, they were building a massive treehouse that should be completed soon, along with two separate pools designed for different age groups. The kids’ area was next level, filled with thoughtful activities and crafts for every age. We toured the facilities and were blown away at how much attention was put into creating experiences that are fun, safe, and enriching for children. We keep thinking about how we can get back there from Los Angeles, which is not an easy trek, but it is worth every mile. Next time we want to bring our kids so they can experience the magic too. We find ourselves no longer interested in other resorts because we now compare everything to Joali, and we are willing to spend significantly more for service and experiences at this level. Lastly, our Jadugar (Butler), Assam, was simply incredible ; attentive without ever being intrusive, anticipating our needs before we even voiced them, and the concierge manager, Adam Giyaas, went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was seamless and unforgettable. So if you are deciding between Joali and other big names like Cheval Blanc, Four Seasons, St. Regis, Soneva Jani, or Velaa Private Island, my advice is simple: don’t bother. Those may be good, but Joali is setting a new global standard.

- Destination257211 (10/5): Magical Maldivian holiday - For our eight trip to the Maldives we had chosen Joali where we spent ten nights in mid-July in what ended up as being a 10 out of 10 experience. Right from the arrival we were greeted by our wonderful butler, Yaante, who discreetly and most efficiently took care of any wishes. This was topped by several surprises such as wedding anniversary decoration of the villa, anniversary cake, complimentary massage, etc. We stayed in a Luxury Beach Villa with Pool placed on the calm side of the island. The villa was superbly equipped, with sublime interior design and decoration and the towels and bathrobes are the most comfortable we have experienced in ages. The functioning of lightning, TV, blinds, shades etc is very handy as everything can be steered from one single Ipad module. Outside we had plenty of very comfortable sun loungers and a very relaxing covered sitting area. During our stay staff was celebrating that the magazine “Travel and Leisure” had elected the resort to be No. 1 in Asia a short time earlier, most surely a well-deserved recognition. Staff really transmitted the feeling that they are highly proud and passionate about their work, a feeling you don’t always get in similar resorts. All personnel are extremely friendly, helpful, open and smiling. The selection at the breakfast buffet and the service there is attentive and unparalleled. We tried all restaurants and were pleasantly surprised by the very high standard of the food in general, really a culinary experience and easily the best food we have ever come across in the Maldives in other five star resorts. Our personal favorite was the Bellini Restaurant with a good blend of Italian dishes and true Bellini cocktails. Special thanks here to Rio, Sid, Aiz and the new Italian chef Simone. We equally enjoyed great Margaritas at the Mura bar enjoying the sunset view. Not to be forgotten that Joali has a beautiful airport lounge at Male with first class service. We were lucky to be flying both ways with the very comfortable resort seaplane. The General Manager, Shifaz, was ever present ensuring that we got the perfect experience. Me and my friend screened through some amazing options and finally we landed at JOALI Maldives. This resort really picked out interest with all the amazing reviews and photos. From the first point of reservation until we stepped in at Velana Airport, it was a smooth and seamless journey. The staff were attentive with their service and warm smiles. The property itself is really unique with many art installations strewn around the island. Our Jadugar, or so they called for their butler, booked everything in advance and ensure all of our needs are taken care of. Many times she offered to drive us around via buggy, but me and my friend prefer riding our bikes around the island. A quiet afternoon ride at the island and around the water villas were so dreamy. The villa that we booked was for Beach Villa with Pool, but we were upgraded by the kind staff to Luxury Beach Villa with Pool. The design of the villa is so chic and I really love how they put every details that just feel so right. The highlights of staying in a resort are not just the villa and the location, but also the food. They are carefully curated to tease our tastebuds and savoring every bite is pure bliss. But beware the portions are quite large (for us anyway), we’re so stuffed at the end of our meals. At the last night of our stay, we were trying Saoke, their signature overwater Japanese restaurant. I must say it’s one of the best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever visited so far. We got to see some baby sharks after our dinner, they were swimming around the restaurant. Last but not least, it was really sad to part ways after staying at this beautiful resort and on really short period at that. Perhaps if we can visit Maldives again in the future, we will be back for sure. Thank you once again for the amazing team who made our stay memorable and we hope to see you again in the future.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the management team and the General Manager Mr. Shifaz Our Jadugar Thithi gave us a lovely island tour helping us discover the beautiful services Joali offers. The resort offers a variety of dining options, including Japanese, Italian, and Asian cuisines, with selections from Indian, Chinese, Maldivian, and Levantine dishes as well as Mediterranean cuisine. The villa design is amazing with a spacious living room and well designed bedroom facing the open ocean view and a very spacious dressing room. We definitely loved the paiting class at the art gallery and the ceramic session. We were even able to take our art piece home as a souvenir and the ceramic class felt like a type of therapy we truly enjoyed it. The spa experience was another unique highlight we had a relaxing Turkish hammam followed by a deep tissue massage and we were served ginger tea afterward. It was absolutely amazing. The Snorkeling around the island was unforgettable experience especially at the snorkeling point in front of the Mura bar We saw beautiful fish and explored the coral planting guided by the in-house marine biologist. All the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always smiling we truly felt like we were on a joyful island. A special thank you to the entire team, especially Mr. Nawaf, Mr. Ahmed, Mr. Shifaz, Mr. Nawaz and our wonderful Jadugar Thithi and all the Joali team for making our stay so memorable. We could snorkel to see pretty fish right from the villa. Every single worker from management, to restaurant staff to landscapers greeted us daily with smiles in the most welcoming way. Our butler Shaante saw to our every need in the most friendly and gracious manner. Don't miss the opportunity to take private/semi private workout and pilates sessions with Nabil at the fitness center! His expertise and positivity were so motivating and the perfect way to start the day. I was a little fearful we might be bored being in such a secluded place but you can fill your days with activities as much or as little as you want. We greatly enjoyed the instructors for ceramics, art, and yoga. The massages at the spa were among the best we ever had. By the second day, the restaurants and Mura bar staff knew our names and orders making us feel so indulged. The quality of the food as well as variety was great. 2 members of our party got sun burned the first day; Shaante brought lotions to the room and then immediately arranged a visit by the nurse when he heard the next day they still didn't feel well. We literally wanted for nothing during our stay. My husband and I traveled with or 2 young adult daughters and their 2 friends and we all agree this might be our favorite vacation ever!

The property is beautifully planned, with a great design philosophy infused with a sense of femininity. We loved the villas, with their soaring ceilings and spacious layouts. The fact that the team was so proactive and responsive to our needs right from the baby amenities to special food - everything was taken care of. Dining was definitely a highlight, with exceptional F&B options by Kapil, the culinary director. Evenings at Mura Bar were magical with great music from the DJ. - kyoobins (10/5): The most beautiful resort in Maldives for sure! - We stayed 5 nights and honestly it was not enough. All the staffs were extremely kind and helpful, especially our Jadugar Nouha. She was the sweetest woman ever, always checking up on us and being helpful! Managers and staffs - Mr. Ali Zubair, Gandip, Martha, Kwan, Melina(sommelier), Vijay, Rio were all very sweet, considerate and made our experience extra special. We could clear feel that alm the staffs are highly proud and passinoate about thier work and the resort. The room condition was beyond expectation. The interior design was the main reason we chose Joali, and it was one of the most beautiful rooms we ever visited. I am confident that it is the most beautiful resort in Maldives for sure. We especially liked the spa and massage. The spa centre itself is very nicely decorated with beautiful gardens, calming you the moment you walk in. Massage therapists were very professional as well and the vibe throughout the whole session was just amazing. I recommend other visitors to get your first massage on the first or second day you arrive, so that you can book additional massgae throughout your whole stay :) Last but not least, food and beverage in Joali must be mentioned! All the restaurants are top-quality and all the dishes were very delicious. My husband has lactose intolerance, and all the staffs made sure his diet is fully concerned which was very considerate. Overall, it was the best vacation ever and I hope everyone visits this resort to for heavenly experience.
- b_1979sg (4/5): Luxury Expectations Not Met by JOALI’s Reservation Team - I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the reservation experience I had with the JOALI reservations team. Having booked a combined stay at both JOALI resorts through the hotel, I had expected to receive the best available rates and exclusive benefits. Unfortunately, I later discovered that a third party travel agent was offering significantly better package which including complimentary inter-resort transfer and substantial seaplane transfer discount that were not extended to direct booker like myself. When I raised these concerns, I was told that the promotion had been introduced after my booking and was available only through selected key travel partners. Not only was my direct booking over USD 3,700 more expensive than the partner package, but the only advice I received was to cancel and rebook through the partner if I wished to secure a better deal. It was disheartening that the reservation team made no attempt to match the rate or extend any gesture of goodwill. The indifference left me feeling as though I was not valued as a guest perhaps even dismissed as unworthy of further effort. Further adding to my frustration, I was also informed by the reservation team that a new special rate had been introduced after my booking. When I requested a detailed comparison between my existing reservation, the travel partner’s package, and their newly introduced special rate, the response I received was perfunctory at best. I was merely referred to the hotel website, without any personalized breakdown or assistance. This level of service is not what one associates with a luxury resort. If this is the experience before arrival, it raises concerns about the level of care and attention guests might receive on property. As a result of this disappointing experience, I decided to cancel my bookings with Joali and rebook with Cheval Blanc Randheli. From the very first interaction with their reservations team through to our actual stay, every touchpoint at Cheval Blanc exceeded expectations. Their commitment to clear, thoughtful communication and genuine guest care reassured us that we had made the right decision. Luxury hospitality should be defined by exemplary service, not just branding, accolades, or curated media narratives. JOALI’s positioning as the Maldives first art-immersive and well-being-focused resort may be unique, but such distinctions are meaningless if fundamental guest expectations are not met.

- 612asghara (10/5): PERFECT! A dream holiday… - By a distance, the best resort in the Maldives! This was the perfect stay for our 25th anniversary. Highly recommended by a friend who had been here twice himself with his wife. Everything was amazing and everyone was great. Asim, our Jadougar, made sure our time was extra special beyond our expectations. The entire team and management were so dedicated to make sure our experience is as best as possible, and they delivered! The staff is happy to work here and it shows with the service they provide. I would strongly recommend this resort without ANY reservations. My only concern is that it may be impossible to find a better place… Thanks to everyone at Joali. We will miss you all and we very much look forward to visiting again soon.

- Sally6 (10/5): PERFECTION IN PARADISE! - Having traveled to luxury beach resorts for 45 years the one that will stand out for us is Joali. It will take your breath away! From the moment you land off the seaplane you are greeted with a warm welcome by some of the lovely staff. The Maldives has always been on my bucket list but since it is 30 hours from my city it was never easy to get to. We were on a five country trip starting in Dubai and it was then feasible to reach with a short flight from there. The attention to detail that has gone into creating Joali is astounding. The décor of the resort including the villas, the restaurants, the spa, and the bar is out of Architectural Digest. The finest furniture, materials, lighting etc. It is surely a sight to behold! Nothing was sparred when designing the resort. The setting and atmosphere of Saoke restaurant that sits over the water is something not to be believed! It is so gorgeous! There is lush tropical landscaping throughout Joali and the crystal blue water is stunning. Many times I had to pinch myself and ask is this a dream? It sure wasn’t it was JOALI! Sixty pieces of artwork are scattered throughout the resort. A first for a resort in the Maldives. Every staff member had the best attitudes with big smiles on their faces. They all made us feel so special. We had an overwater villa that was truly magnificent with over 3000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. Everything in the villa was of the finest quality and pure luxury from the furniture, artwork, linens, towels, soaps, robes, bath salts etc. It was surely the most beautiful accommodation we have ever stayed in all of our travels around the world. Nothing was sparred when the designers planned the villas at Joali. You will be assigned a butler who is on call for anything you need. We chatted with him on WhatsApp- which was so easy. Do not miss the Street Market Buffet- never in my life have I ever seen such a huge display of culinary offerings and gorgeous presentations. It was a masterpiece! Sitting in the sand on the beach by candlelight made for an unforgettable evening. We loved the Teppanyaki dinner at Saoke. It was so entertaining, delicious and a beautiful venue. All the food at the other restaurants was also wonderful with so much variety to choose from. We spent a few hours with a marine specialist to snorkel and see the fish and turtles that was so enjoyable. Joali offers so many water activities and experiences to keep you entertained. Every morning we had a leisurely breakfast that had an extensive buffet and also a la carte items to choose from. We met so many interesting people from all over the world and many were repeat guests. We went daily to the Ice Cream and Sorbet store with over 30 flavors to choose from. We loved our Spa treatments in a beautiful setting that we had which included massages and facials and the therapists were excellent. Not only did we spend time at our overwater villa outside with the pool – we also enjoyed going to the pure white sand beach everyday too. Be sure to take “the back of the house tour”. It was so interesting to see where the staff lives, the laundry, cafeteria, pool and soccer field etc. I was told it is the best staff facilities in the Maldives. A resort like Joali doesn’t just happen to be that extraordinary without the guidance of the General Manager- Shifaz. He is engaging, charismatic, charming and always present. He was a pure delight and he wants his guests to have the best experience and make lasting memories. He instills excellence in all his staff. We will be forever grateful for how he made our 8 night stay something dreams are made of. Even my husband commented- “He is the best Manager we have ever had at a hotel.” Shifaz we adored you! Joali has received numerous awards including Travel and Leisure World’s Best, Conde Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Award and Forbes Five Star which is the highest rating in the travel industry. What helped me decide to choose Joali was when a well known traveler blogger said out of all the 5 star resorts in the Maldives – Joali was his favorite. We will have memories that will last a lifetime! We can’t wait to come back to PARADISE! I want to thank all the staff that made our stay so special and treated us like royalty! I chose this boutique resort because of the attention to detail in the decor of the beautiful over water villas, and this truly lived up to expectations . The rooms are absolutely beautiful, chic, and definitely unique in detail. This attention to detail is seen all around the resort , each restaurant has an individual unique look , Soake the Japanese restaurant is a beautiful architectural masterpiece . The whole resort is kept immaculate , with beautiful trees and fragrant flowers . I also loved the structural art pieces around the property . Staff are incredibly friendly and always at your service , I would like to thank all the staff for making our stay so memorable . Our dedicated Jadughar/ Butler Asim made our whole stay stress free and seamless . He planned our dinner reservations, excursions and nothing was too much trouble . The spa is amazing and the massage and facial was incredible. The setting of the treatment rooms in over the water villas was stunning . The resort has soft sandy beaches , crystal clear water, snorkeling on the house reef is not the best , but you do see an interesting variety of fish . I already miss the resort and can see why they have so many repeat guests. I will be back.

We came here for honeymoon and this is exactly what we dreamt about - the water villas are luxurious, cute, comfortable and perfect for photos, with so many little details that wowed us. The house reefs are amazing for snorkelling, we saw sharks, manta and a number of colourful fish. The food choices were decent (Joali’s breakfast is amazing). The spa and wellbeing facilities at both resorts were beautiful (Joali Being wins this one). Most importantly, the services there were amazing. Everyone is able to call us by name. Our butler at Joali, Abby, was particularly amazing - she planned an amazing itinerary for us, always checking in to make sure our needs are met, and she worked her magic to help us turn some “impossible” request to possible. Would strongly recommend!!

- caitlin (10/5): - We did Joali for a 15yr anniversary trip. It is a long trip from North America but well worth it! This place is heaven. The website is actually really understated, it’s hard to describe how beautiful and luxurious things are once you arrive. You get a personal butler to meet all of your needs and arrange things. The rooms are huge and gorgeously appointed. All the staff are amazing and the food was absolutely phenomenal. I do gluten-free and they were able to customize anything. I wanted on the menu. The scuba diving is great and the equipment is all brand new and top-notch, including giving your own dive computer. There’s amazing water sports, including a private yacht to Charter, Sea-Doo and all kinds of manual water sports. We played Padel and tennis. Highly highly recommend.

It is a very relaxed and sophisticated place at the same time. The main like was the staff, they were all genuinely outstanding. The food and beverage was a lovely mix of choices, however we did feel it was a bit pricey.
- Magdalena (5/5): Great resort BUT incompetent and arrogant service - Interior design. Cleanness & Comfort. A few days ago I read a sentence: "Elegance is in the manners and in the way you deal with people, not in a Riedel glass or Frette luxury linens". It is EXACTLY how I would describe Joali Maldives! The whole resort is absolutely awesome! It is clean, luxurious and comfortable! BUT the service and competencies of some of the personnel is below any acceptable standard! I guess this is what happens when someone with lots of money but no experience in a hotel industry decide to open a hotel. I will mention about 3 problematic points: 1) booking process and the quality of the Reservation Team service, 2) Jadugar (butler) service and 3) cutting our stay short. 1) The booking process was just a nightmare! I made reservation via booking.com, providing all necessary information, including credit card information. Meanwhile the Joali Reservation Team was calling me for 3 weeks almost every night, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT to get the credit card information (it is a 13-hour difference between Maldives and West Cost USA). When I sent them an email saying that they were calling me in the middle of the night, they ignored their misconduct completely and answered: "we will let our Butler Team know, that you prefer email contact". REALLY?! Do you, Joali people think bothering a customer in the middle of the night for 3 weeks is just a matter of contact preferences?! I don't have any contact preferences. Phone is as fine as email! But don't call me almost every night, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! 2. At the arrival, Joali automatically assigns a "Jadugar” (“butler") for you, and in our case, interacting with our “Jadugar” ruined the whole stay. He was so fake, insincere and pretended that it felt really weird and uncomfortable to talk to him! 3. The hotel cut our stay short! Prior to our arrival, Joali confirmed a departure time abound 2:00 PM.
