• Teja (9/5): Prijeten hotel v zgodovinskem okolju - Kompleks v katerem je hotel je lepo vpet v okolico, ima stare zidove, vasica Monells je majhna in tiha, zajtrk je odličen z veliko svežega sadja in dobrim izborom pršuta in sira Postelja ni najbolj udobna, soba z balkonom je gledala na dostopno pot in ne na vrt, kopalnica je majhna

• Karin (10/5): Auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt sehr zu empfehlen! - Sandra und ihr Mann sind ganz tolle Gastgeber. Sie sind sehr um die Gäste bemüht, hilfsbereit und immer ansprechbar. Das Frühstück war mit sehr viel verschiedenen Obstsorten, Tomaten, Croissants und Aufschnitten top. Das Zimmer ist sehr modern und sauber. Auch den Pool und die Ruhe haben wir sehr genossen..Wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen!

Also the hotel breakfast was excellent! A few minutes walk from the medieval square with great restaurants, it feels like a place from another time in the best way.

• Emma Camacho Rovira (7/5): - El personal muy amable. La zona de la piscina muy agradable y el pueblo precioso. Buen desayuno. Faltaba limpieza, habia mucha telaraña en los techos de habitacion y baño, y en la esquina de la ducha. Nos salio una araña de buen tamaño de entre nuestras ropas uno de los días. El espejo del baño está inclinado por estar colgado de una pared de piedra muy curva, y esto dificulta bastante el arreglarse. El desayuno fue bueno, pero no recomiendo cenar en el restaurante del hotel.

• LuisPrietoRamosMoralejo (10/5): Hotel para desconectar - La tranquilidad del entorno y del hotel, la decoración y diseño de este, el desayuno y, sobre todo, el trato de todo su personal, siempre con una sonrisa en la cara. Nos vamos acostumbrando, pero ya tenemos una edad y aún nos cuesta este concepto tan de moda de ducha a la vista, sin una puerta o algo que dé más intimidad. Pero al final le vas cogiendo el aire 😃

• Leigh (10/5): - This is a lovely hotel made of stone construction from the 14th century but with all modern amenities. The owner and staff were welcoming. The grounds are beautiful and it is a short (2 minute) walk to the town square. I highly recommend it.

• Ramon (8/5): Not a bad place if you have a car - Very nice rooms, the breakfast was very complete, and it's a nice area to travel by car to different beaches in Costa Brava. Monells is a nice town to see, as many other medieval towns in the area, and it only takes you an hour. Didn't like that they had a restaurant that is not theirs, but rented to another property (Monki) that was closed for the dates we had the booking, and we weren't told.

• Ray (8/5): Fantastic hotel in beautiful medieval village - This really is a beautiful hotel set in an extraordinary mediaeval location. Everything about the hotel is 5 star, including the hostess & hostess. Rooms are very comfortable and modern with doors opening onto a private terrace area where you can relax with a beer. Buffet breakfast was very good with plenty of choice of fresh ingredients. Everything you could hope for. We had looked forward to eating in the hotel restaurant, but it was closed on the evening we stayed. The hosts were apologetic and made us (& some other guests) a very nice salad, but it would have been nice to know beforehand about the restaurant, as that was one of the reasons we booked this hotel.

The hosts, Josep and Sandra are very pro-active, and keen to ensure you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. There was an excellent buffet breakfast of Iberian hams and cheeses with a good variety of fresh bread, and plenty of fresh fruit and pastries. Also, a good selection of teas and excellent coffee, all served in their attached restaurant Monki, a very popular dinner venue serving superb sushi, and other Asian fusion style food. Highly recommended! Nothing - though a TV channel providing news in English (eg Sky News or BBC World News) would be a welcome addition.
