• Constanze (4/5): Ernüchternd - Es hatte eine Regendusche, Zimmer an sich sauber und mit ausreichend Platz, die Lage zur Innenstadt ist ok wenn man gerne läuft..Eine Bushaltestelle ist aber auch schnell zu erreichen. Ich möchte hier ganz ehrlich sein, der Aufenthalt hat unsere Erwartungen untertroffen. Es hat einige gute Bewertungen, die wir leider nicht teilen können und auch die Bilder entsprechen nicht unbedingt der Wahrheit. Wir waren für zwei Nächte hier im Zweibettzimmer, die Matratzen sind durchgelegen und haben Sprungfedern, die man bei jeder Bewegung spürt und auch hört, generell sind die Einzelbetten eher schmal. Die Türe zum Badezimmer knarzt bei jeder Bewegung. An sich war es sauber, aber in der Dusche war der Abfluss von einem großen Haarpfropf verstopft, da wurde anscheinend Sehr lange nicht mehr sauber gemacht. Einen Duschvorleger hatten wir auch nicht bekommen. Während unseres Aufenthalts war es sehr kalt, die Heizung ließ sich nicht richtig bedienen. Das Haus ist eher in die Jahre gekommen und hellhörig. In unserem Zimmer haben wir jede Badbenutzung der Gäste im Zimmer über uns mitbekommen, jede Bewegung der anderen Gäste hat in unserem Zimmer Vibrationen, die sich bei uns durch Quietschen bemerkbar gemacht haben, ausgelöst. Ob es in den anderen Zimmern genauso ist, kann ich nicht sagen. Wir waren jedenfalls sehr enttäuscht und fanden das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut nicht gerechtfertigt. Schade

• van den Heuvel (3/5): Kaum wieder, wir fühlten uns nicht willkommen, Besitzer wohl nur an den Einnahmen interessiert - Die Lage: zu Fuss ins Zentrum gut machbar, jede Menge Busse, Zimmer gegen den Garten, sehr ruhig. Badezimmer: eng, aber alles vorhanden. Dusche sehr schön und gut, WC Spülung funktioniert auf Anhieb. Treppenhaus hell und einladend. Betten uralt und Matratzen total durchgelegen, Springfedern fühlbar. Jeden Morgen wie geteert und gefedert und mit Rückenschmerzen aufgewacht. Teppich uralt, faltig und unappetitlich, obwohl keine Flecken offensichtlich sind. Hospitality tray minimalistisch, zB kein koffeinfreier Kaffee vorhanden. Service kaum vorhanden. Deckbetten wurden einigermassen gerade über die zerknitterten Laken gezogen und Kissen in eine ungefähre Position gebracht. Waschbecken und Dusche wohl nie gereinigt. Reserve-WC-Papier musste extra verlangt werden. Quitschende Badezimmertür. Ob der Staubsauger, der am Sonntagmittag bis zu unserer Abreise am Montag vor unserem Zimmer stand, wohl zur Selbstbedienung gedacht war?

• Marc (7/5): - Locatie was goed, loopafstand van het OV en restaurantjes, appartement ruim genoeg voor 2 personen, makkelijke toegang door makkelijk app contact met de beheerder, op verzoek schone handdoeken. Het bed was klein en de matras was slecht, doorgelegen waardoor de veren voelbaar waren, was al lang aan vervanging toe. Prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding viel tegen.

Vi möttes av ett slitet ofräsch rum med 140cm säng, som var stenhård.Fläckig gammal heltäckningsmatta, pyttelitet badrum, urblekta gardiner. Och rummet var iskallt. En dag när vi kom till hotellet, hade städerskan varit i rummet och dörren var öppen, de hade inte kollat att den stängts efter dem. I matsalen låg skräp på bord och golv, och i trappan låg skräp( papper och kapsyler) som ingen städade bort under hela vistelsen.

Enjoyed the area itself with good bars and cafes, much less touristy, and transport links were very good. Just a wee bit too long to walk in and back to centre and walk around all day too (for middle aged legs) but a day ticket sorted that out with regular bus service 2 minutes from hotel.

KEINE Parkplätze! - Wichtig, da in der Nähe kaum Parkplätze vorhanden und wenn doch, dann SOFORT (6min overstay) eine Busse! Das Zimmer war auch sehr staubig und das Zimmer sehr lärmig da an der Kreuzung von zwei grossen Hauptstrassen. Gastgeber haben wir nie welche gesehen. Ein rented Appartment mit Parkplatz wäre günstiger und besser gewesen.

La camera era piuttosto fredda nonostante il riscaldamento perché le finestre non si chiudevano correttamente. Ma soprattutto in 3 giorni non abbiamo mai visto nessuno dello staff. Ti dicono che puoi scrivere e ho mandato più volte messaggio per chiedere di depositare temporaneamente bagagli dopo checkout prima di partire. Hanno letto e non hanno mai risposto, abbiamo dovuto pagare 18 sterline per 3 ore presso deposito

W bliskiej odległości były przystanki autobusowe. Łóżka były wygodne, woda gorąca. Pokój był przestarzały ale przytulny. Niestety po prośbie (która była zaakceptowana i potwierdzona na booking) o wcześniejsze zameldowanie pokój nie był gotowy na przyjęcie gości - o 12 był nadal w środku sprzątania, a Pani która nas przyjmowała słabo mówiła po angielsku i nie wiedziała jak wybrnąć z tej sytuacji ani co zaproponować w tym przypadku. Na początku mieliśmy trochę problem z ogrzewaniem pokoju - działał tylko jeden grzejnik, było dosyć zimno. Pokój był dosyć ciemny.

Por otro lado tuvimos que esperar para el check-in después de una hora donde no había nadie en recepción y tampoco nos atendían al número de teléfono que facilitaban para estos casos. Finalmente nos abrió una limpiadora después de un tiempo de espera. Por último en ningún momento nos han atendido a los varios emails, tanto para el checkin como para la solicitud de factura. El checkout lo realizamos el 26/06 y hoy 15/07 aún nseguimos sin recibir respuesta.

• Christian (7/5): Nice Guesthouse with potential - We liked the nice room with garden terrace. The guesthouse is located next to bus stops running towards the city and close to Holyrood Park. Just across the street, you find South Pour offering from very good breakfast to excellent dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. The door to the garden terrace could not be locked up. The prices for the rooms fluctuate quite a bit.

Noisy traffic from 6am but quiet during the night. The blind was broken, I think, as I couldn't pull it down so was awake very early with the light coming in. The shower head kept drooping downwards and I had to hold it in place while showering. I stayed here last year and was disappointed that the cost of the same single room I had last year (small attic room) had gone up by 50 pounds a night! My room cost £162 a night with no breakfast which I consider to be expensive and not good value for money. I met one member of staff at check in to get my key and had no further contact with anyone for my 4 day stay. They do not seem to reside there as you have to ring a number if you need anything.

• Victoria (8/5): Nice little room about a mile from the city centre - The room was lovely, large and it was clean. There was tea and coffee making facilities and a bottle of water. There was adequate heating in the room, which could be turned off if the room got too warm. It was on a direct road into the city centre and just under a mile. We walked in every day, but buses pass regularly if the walk is too far. The accommodation was close to Holyrood Park and some lovely walks, or challenging if desired as you can walk up to Arthur's Seat. Also, it's close to Edinburgh Old Town. There are lots of shops, takeaways and some restaurants nearby and all the way down the road into Edinburgh. I have no complaints about the room, however, the room would definitely benefit from a king-size or a zip and link bed (so it could be sold as a twin). Whilst a double was alright, the room was large enough to accommodate a king-size, so why not! There was something wrong with the sofa in the room and you couldn't sit on it comfortably, or without sliding off. Again, this wasn't a major issue as we didn't spend long periods of time in the room. However, it could do with a new sofa for people who may need to be in the room for longer periods. A sofa bed would also be good in there as you could fit a family in there too (just a suggestion rather than a criticism.)

Prima di uscire abbiamo acceso il riscaldamento (perché era spento) ma quando siamo tornati la sera, era stato spento quindi faceva molto freddo e abbiamo dovuto accenderlo di nuovo

Having to phone staff the night before breakfast is required to pre order & having ordered breakfast & time required it not being ready followed by a thirty minute wait, breakfast not of great quality which nearly made us late for for a pre booked taxi.
