Doesn’t have a ton of curb appeal being so close to an office park, and the rooms could use an update, but the facilities were nice and it’s affordable. We went for a concert and venue onsite was really great. All of the hotel staff were very friendly. I wish the Front Desk had better communication. It was really difficult to get in touch with someone when we found used water bottles in our room and we had a dirty ice bucket that we were trying to get replaced (they never ended up bringing us a new one). I was also charged a $100 fee for bringing my pet (which is fine) but they brought a dog bed and bowl that I honestly didn’t use because they looked dirty. Overall, I would visit again, but only if I was attending a concert, or needed a quick day trip / weekend getaway from SF to a hotel with a nice adults-only pool!
- Linda (2/5): - I recently stayed at here and unfortunately had a very poor experience. Throughout my stay, there was no reliable hot water in the room. Despite multiple calls to the front desk, the issue was not resolved. • A technician came once and temporarily restored hot water, but it failed again the same evening. • After returning from a hike, we were forced to take cold showers. Later that night, another technician was sent around 9pm, but by then my wife had gone to bed without being able to shower. • The following morning, the problem persisted — still no hot water. In addition to this, the front desk was extremely difficult to reach. Calls were often sent to an automated system that disconnected after several minutes. I eventually had to call from an outside line to get through. Upon checkout, no one asked about our stay, no apology was offered, and I was unable to get a printed bill. The overall service was dismissive, and far below the standard expected for the price we paid.

- Kathryn (8/5): - You cannot get anyone to answer the phone, whether its reservations,front desk,concierge, or housekeeping. So if you need assistance with anything, good luck getting a hold of someone at this resort from your room.I also had the same problem when booking my reservation. I could not get a hold of reservations as they did not answer the phone and you get a voicemail and sit on hold forever.So I booked through expedia. At checkout I was not asked how my stay was or thanked......those days are gone I guess. But it is a very nice resort hotel. My room was fabulous and the vineyard and trail was amazing!

- Francesca (6/5): - Pros: rooms were great size, loved the little balconies. Pool and hot tub were nice too. Parkin was easy, $15 per day for self parking. Was near most things you'd want to do in Napa, including the Napa Valley Wine Train! Front desk was nice. Two bedroom suite had everything you needed in the kitchen, including plates and utensils, which was very nice. Complimentary wine and water bottles was also appreciated! Cons: Check in was at 4p but our room wasn't ready at that time. When we got to our rooms, there was no hand soap in one room and the other room did not have body wash. The bathroom door had big scratches on the front of it.

- Nitin (6/5): - Not worth the price. We stayed at the Meritage before and loved it - we were hoping for an amazing experience at the ‘Grand Reserve’ which is a newer building. It was very ‘meh.’ Strangely it only had one elevator for the whole large building. Then started the nickel and dime process - seems like they had fees on top of fees and charged for parking. Imho this place has lost its charm for greed. The worst part was that we felt rushed with the check in and checkout process as if we were a nuisance. We don’t expect someone to roll out a red carpet, but overall it just gave us a bad taste. I don’t think we’ll ever come here again.

Once checking in another guest interrupted our delayed check in and the front desk attendant addressed the other guest before completing our check in process. I also learned that our family friend had ordered a fruit and cheese platter that never came to our room. Uncertain if it was sent to our other room, since we had been updated but that should have been noted.

- edwin (2/5): - I had a deeply concerning experience during my stay at Meritage Hotel from 2/14/25 to 2/16/25, and the matter remains unresolved. During our stay, a hotel employee unlawfully entered our room while my partner and I were engaged in a private moment. This individual neither knocked nor announced their presence and, instead of immediately leaving, lingered and listened before fleeing when confronted. This was a severe violation of our privacy, and we immediately reported it to hotel security. We were assured that an investigation would be conducted, including a review of key card access logs, but we received no follow-up. When we escalated the matter to the front desk manager, she acknowledged the mishandling of our complaint, apologized, and assured us we would receive compensation via a credit for our massages, as she claimed our booking through Expedia prevented a room refund. However, no such credit was ever applied. What makes this experience even worse is that our itemized receipt shows we paid Meritage Hotel directly, further calling into question the excuses given. The complete lack of communication and failure to honor promises has left us feeling disregarded. I had initially trusted the staff to make things right, but that trust has been broken. This level of disregard for guest concerns is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend this hotel to others.

Check in was with a teenager who when asked for recommendations for wineries stated he was too young to drink. No concierge services. $100 resort fee for seeming nothing? There are restaurants on property but to pay a fee for them without dining? One teen working the coffee bar on a Sunday morning with a long line. SKIP this place. It is off a highway and has zero charm, industrial park feel, and no added amenities or staffing that other luxury properties provide.

The valet was never around. The Wi-Fi was down. We were putting a room by a concert on a Sunday night without any warning People came into our room without knocking we were told we couldn’t have more water, nothing in the room worked and they couldn’t fix it… The list goes on and on and on to spend $670 on a room and be treated like we were at the motel. It was horrible and so disappointing. I do not recommend staying here.
- Derek (10/5): - Very nice resort. We stayed at this resort as part of the concert series. Would stay here again. The only downside is the concert ended at 9:30, and all of the restaurants were closing or closed. The resort food was definitely overpriced.
- Michael (4/5): - Run down corporate hotel in a suburban office park setting. No staff. Had to call 4 times to get someone to fix our air conditioner. Pool areas had old food sitting on chairs for hours with no one cleaning it up. Desk staff couldn’t answer basic questions.

- Norman (10/5): We were there for our 30th wedding anniversary and the trip was awesome. - We eat breakfast there every morning and it was excellent. This property was great and we will stay there again. We did not find anything wrong with the property
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very average - Not impressed for the money. As the Grand Reserve was merged with the Meritage feels like a forgotten part of the hotel. Lots of conferences which doesn’t make it great for couples visiting.
- Maria (5/5): Not worth the money spent. - The location was great, very serene. Room was big and had a great view. The pool was also good. Was not loud even though it was the family pool. There was lots of trash near the hotel premises by the parking lot. Though we had a great view the parking lot was an eye sore, there were wooden pallets, beat up outdoor heaters, and trash. The valet employees seemed distracted rather than attentive. I even had to park my own car because there was no one in sight. Employees were on their phones. I booked a spa treatment and did not get confirmation until it was too late to cancel. I was also informed the AC in the ladies locker room was not working when it was too late to cancel. When I got to my spa appointment, I was told they were over booked and could not guarantee a locker room for my personal items (again at a point when it was too late cancel). Room service food was bland and unimpressive.

However on the morning of check out not only did they charge the card I had used to reserve the hotel when originally booked, but they also charged the card we gave them at check in. When we tried to resolve it at the front desk we were told they could not see the double charge and that because we booked through a third party. We explained that we did not “pay” through the third party (Expedia) that we asked them to charge a specific card which they did as well as the card on file with Expedia. I am not happy at all and will never book through a third party again. Now I have to wait to see what happens on my bank’s end as my account is negative AND I have prearranged payments hitting my account making it even more negative. I am very upset and frustrated!!!

A little disconnect with communication between staff upon retrieving our car, couple of times as we were waiting for awhile only to find that the call from our room was not relayed. This is just a small kink that needs to be smoothed out.
- Angelique (10/5): My stay was great. Except for getting sick from my massage therapist. - The property was beautiful and the rooms were nicely positioned looking at the vineyard. I have been to this property multiple times, usually at the Meritage. My only complaint is the massage therapist from my 100 minute Deep Tissue on 9/30 was coughing and sneezing during my session. I have now been in the bed sick for 4 days! I think it’s completely unacceptable. This will not prevent me from coming back, however perhaps the massage therapists should be required to wear masks.

Only exception was a manager who was rather rude when we asked for a one hour later checkout, which wasn’t granted. Hotel staff seemed a bit overstretched but all were courteous and friendly.
- JOSE (6/5): Manage your expectations - Even though the hotel was OK in terms of cleanliness and overall qualities of the facilities, I feel it is overpriced. I had a chance to see a friend's room in the non-Grand Reserve portion of the hotel, and the rooms were fairly comparable except for the size of the bathroom. Was a bigger bathroom worth twice as much in terms of the cost? Nope! I would consider staying here again, but the extra money for the Grand Reserve is not worth it.
