Excellent customer service - we had a small problem which Beth sorted immediately, and she was also very helpful with recommending local restaurants and bars. Cammesia (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at this apartment! It was clean, stylish, and exactly as shown in the photos. The location was excellent close to everything I needed, with great restaurants and transit nearby. The only thing to note is that the apartment doesn’t have air conditioning, so it can get a bit warm, especially during hotter days. However, fans were provided, and with the windows open, it was still manageable.
Kendall (6/5): Nice but don’t go in summer - Lovely apartments but mine was extremely hot (31 degrees) and the bathroom even hotter due to no aircon. It was also very noisy as could here bottles being emptied most of night and morning from bars etc behind

Connector828834 (2/5): Terrible and noisy - Lovely apartment, however do not stay in Saturday night if you want a restful night as it’s so noisy, absolutely far from ideal. Absolutely terrible I wouldn’t recommend at all. So tired the next day is a write off as no one got any sleep. Do not stay if you wan to sleep the grand hotel is a better option.

Right in the heart of Birmingham city centre, parking at B4parking isn’t too far and you get a discount if you enter your vehicle registration on the tablet in the lobby when you check out. Only downside is the noise due to the bars around however that’s expected given the location

kenny (6/5): Just needs a better sofa and a smart tv - It’s a nice enough apartment but little disappointed with the tv not being a smart tv, at this price point it really should have better entertainment options so you can cast stuff from your phone, the sofa was also mega tiny and uncomfortable But apart from that the apartment was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable and warm enough etc. but like I say when you get an apartment you generally spend more time in it so expect better facilities especially at this price point.
Verified traveler (8/5): Great place, rude reception. - The place was lovely, and looks very high standard. However the man at reception is very grumpy, condescending, passive aggressive and frankly rude. He made me feel like a nuisance for arriving earlier than I originally said, spoke to me like a child who's never used a fob or a door key before.

Aaron (2/5): Lovely place but terrible sleep - Very noisy at a weekend due to the bins being directly outside the window of the apartment, the windows don’t block out any noise. Don’t expect any sleep! The gentleman also told me he upgraded us however this clearly wasn’t the case. Which I wasn’t bothered about, but don’t tell someone something if it’s not factual. The apartment itself is beautiful, and location is perfect for centre of town.

Each were excellent both in size, quality, cleanliness. just one small point was the difficulty was the heating which took sometime to try to manage. Apart from that everything was fine and would definitely book again.

There's nothing not to like about these apartments. The kitchen area is well equipped, the bed is comfortable, plenty of storage in the bedroom, I can't fault it. If I need to stay longer in Birmingham for work, I'd happily stay here.

The onsite staff were very pleasant and helpful but they were unable to solve the heating & hot water issue so we had to wait till another flat was cleaned in the morning before we could have a shower

X2806ONstephaniem (6/5): In the hub of bars - On the positives communication was good. Nice and clean. Parking was only five minutes walk away. Deposit was taken and immediately refunded so no problems there. Great location, back of temple row near all the bars and restaurants. Booked this as an alternative to a hotel as thought it would be bigger, was disappointed. The apartment was small, small kitchenette and lounge. Bathroom had shower, was more of a wet room, so floor was wet after shower which was a bit of a pain when wanted to go in to brush teeth etc. Would have been just as well in a hotel, so wont book this again.

Great location and facilities were both modern and all in good working order. A £350 hold is placed on your credit card upfront for any damages or incidentals, I thought this was slightly excessive! 55% discount on local parking was a bonus and 11am checkout at the weekend was also good.
alastair (4/5): great location let down by eccentric fittings - No Bath Crazy Aircon that you can’t turn off. the fan goes constantly. Window opens 1/3rd of an inch. A crazy kettle that doesn’t work. Cafetière no coffee. and kettle doesn’t work anyway. Bathroom tiny. No space to hang towels.
WillStaffordshire (10/5): Brilliant Apartment - The arrangements for check in were clear and we were warmly welcomed. Nice to know there is always staff on-site. The apartment was spotlessly clean in every way. Very warm and comfortable. The location is perfect - close to the main stations, close to restaurants ranging from Weatherspoons to The Cosy Club to The Ivy. Something for every taste and price. If you are new to the area I would also mention The Old Joint Stock or Damascena Cafe. All of these within 100m of the property

Love the art deco vibe in the communal hallways. We were in room 10 and it was a perfect size. Considering we were right in the centre and near to temple st, couldn’t hear a sound. Bed was very comfy. Easy to find. Has parking but we didn’t use it.

Jonathan (8/5): - This is a very nice property and I think I would stay here again. Reasonably priced compared to local hotels and very comfortable. My room had a problem with the aircon (stuck at 26.5C) and the shower mixer tap had no cold water at all, so no shower without 3rd degree burns. I had to email to remind about arrangements for arrival, but once there all was very smooth and efficient. The accommodation was comfy and clean and well equipped. Not quite as soundproofed as might have been expected from the description, but its hard to keep out all the construction noise of central Birmingham. Would definitely use again

Balver (6/5): - The property is very nice. The shower leaked and the door was not on its rail. The apartment whilst very nice, is let down by the poor cleaning service. The apartment is dusty in the bedrooms and I could not sleep in the bed as the undersheet smelt very badly of body odor. Someone was coming in when we were out at work which we did not expect but would have been nice for them the let us know and to have had the apartment cleaned. Communal areas all very nice and kept clean. I would recommend this to anyone but does require a good clean.
SINEAD (8/5): Great Stay - Apartments are fabulous - asked for a nice quite room and it was perfect. Had slight issue with tehe heating and shower warmth but was more or less sorted on day two. Apartments have everything that is needed in them and they are to a high quality standard
L8591RNkathrynm (6/5): Lovely building but... - sadly the apartment didn't live up to the beautiful Art Deco exterior and communal areas. We stayed during the Commonwealth Games, which presumably accounted for the massive price rise (over £1500 more than the current listing price for the same apartment) Let me first say that as a positive, I couldn't fault the staff there - particularly the cleaners and the maintenance man we encountered. However, for the price we paid (or even for the current list price) I did feel let down. The bed was very small, and the bedroom itself was stiflingly hot, despite the open windows and the fans, which worked almost constantly while we were there. In fact, my husband slept quite a few nights on the sofa for this reason. The television kept switching itself off and although we reported this on more than one occasion, it was unable to be fixed while we were there. The toilet seat lid came off in our hands on the first night we were there, and this happened again even after it had been "fixed" twice, so in the end we just left it off. We were unable to leave the windows open at night due to frequent noises from outside of bottles/glasses being emptied into bins from (presumably) local pubs. All in all, I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to any of my friends. I do realise however, from reading other reviews, that other people have had a different experience from the one we had, but it's not for us.

m19orm (10/5): Brilliant 👏 - Lovely apartment couldn't fault it , it was spotless modern and right in the centre of Birmingham couldn't have asked for more the walk to the centre was literally minutes, our check in was very easy and smooth everything was explained to us that we needed to know .
531leed (10/5): Amazing Discovery - At short notice I needed to find accommodation in the middle of Birmingham City Centre. The location and access to parking was a key factor in finding the right hotel. I had never looked at private apartments before, but when I came across 8 Waterloo St, I was very surprised. Also the SnowHill Train Station car park is only 5 min walk away. I was a bit concerned about having a £350 security hold placed on my debit card, but upon arrival I understood why. No.8 Waterloo St and the apartments are amazing and fitted out to the highest of standards. Just after my arrival my business partner joined me for a meeting in my apartments' own kitchen/dinner. Fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher, settee, table and chairs. Also within the apartment was a large bedroom and a very well appointed bathroom. My business partner was amazed at the high quality and very good price to stay. Tea/coffee etc is provided, but you need to source your own food. I am a complete convert and will use No.8 Waterloo St whenever I am in Birmingham or the NEC. Thank you to the staff and the manager who greeted me upon arrival. 10 out of 10 for apartment and staff. See you again soon...

523kristianj (4/5): Lovely apartments, HORRENDOUS sleep! - We visited the Birmingham Christmas market and only used the room for night time as the day was occupied. Location was perfect for Christmas Market! Room was top quality, however, the night sleep was dreadful. We was on the ground floor and from midnight until 7/8am in the morning, there was empty beer barrels being thrown from the alleyway next to the apartments and beer glasses being smashed - see photo. If you like your nights sleep, I wouldn't recommend this place. It's a shame to have a lovely looking apartment in such a poor area. Such a disappointing stay after high hopes.
Tyrone (8/5): - The apartment was brilliant in a great spot to all you need for your stay in Birmingham city centre , we used b4 parking a 5 min walk away and used 8 Waterloo discount which was spot on with price and knowing your car is in a Secure car park while you enjoy your stay hassle free . Our reservation for a stay during the Birmingham Commonwealth Games was cancelled, then, lo and behold, the property immediately reappeared on website at more than double the price. This is dishonourable. It was already expensive, and market forces are at play, but £3400 for a one-bed apartment for a week is just greed.

The apartments are beautiful and located perfectly, but the staff are a huge credit to them, I called this afternoon to ask for help with a booking for end of September and the young lady who dealt with me could not have been more helpful. Taking the time to help us out and secure our booking. Thank you, you've made our trip. The apartments themselves have always been immaculate and comfortable and we have stayed in a variety of them. We only have a deluxe room this time but I'm sure it will be as good as the others.

The staff are very welcoming, a big shout out to the cleaning staff who are fantastic. The view was just OK, but the apartments themselves are immaculate. The location cannot be beaten for access to the centre, trains and places to eat etc. I would happily stay here again and they are good value apartments as well. Thanks for the stay.
gpa66 (8/5): Amazing place to stay - I was very lucky to find this. We were having a vintaged themed weekend in Birmingham. Due to CV the check-in arrangements were reassuring strict (prescribed check-in time, masks to be worn in public areas etc). The chap who met us at reception was first class - so friendly and welcoming. Our apartment was amazing - everything you could hope for, lots of space, comfortable, clean. As it's an apartment there is no catering on site but who cares - so many restaurants in the area. I definitely recommend this place to stay.

This is what they sent me - I have never heard of anyone refusing die to be being under 24??? What we need is the booking in the guests names with their address /email and contact numbers At this time of COVID we are working with track and trace and social distancing so we need to deal direct with the guests, they need to bring passport ID on arrival and confirm themselves they understand all our terms All guest to be over 24 years of age No other guests are allowed to be in the building at anytime Check-in is a confirmed time These terms do not suit all and we understand Covid rules are ever changing but these are them ones we are working with on this date Please cancel this booking if you are unhappy to change things accordingly as it is an important date for the guests and we do not want any misunderstanding. DIDNT EVEN GIVE A CHANCE TO REPLY THEN I GET ANOTHER EMAIL Your booking is being cancelled as the guests as confirmed by telephone are under age You cannot book as you are not staying You have not responded to any email we have sent trying to clarify things, we have no proof of who we spoke to last night either as we have not been given the guest contact details Please do not book again now with us as the booking will not be approved NO ONE CALLED THEM - they lied and cancelled the booking!
C (8/5): Great Staffs, Good Location, Nice apartment - Overall is good. Staffs are nice and helpful. The location is great and very convenience. However there is no hot water for shower in midnight... Lucky it is summer time but I cannot wash my hair as the water is too cold. I just can have a quick shower.
emilygking (10/5): Fantastic - Stayed here for just 1 night for work. I wasn’t ready for staying at a hotel so thought this would be a great alternative. The service from Stella pre stay was fab very considerate and really helpful even changing the night I was staying last minute. The place itself was clean, modern, comfortable and really well equipped. I will absolutely be staying agin.
F9791CVjoannel (10/5): Art Deco Splendour in the centre of town... - The room was spotless, well ordered and well equipped. The staff were excellent, attentive and thoughtful. It is close to all amenities and both the cathedral and art gallery. Shall definitely be staying again when I next go to Birmingham....
DreRichie1 (2/5): Shabby priced apartments - Room was small, fridge smell bad, windows are unable to open, so they have a small fan to compensate that, racist woman and man owners regarding discrimination of age people staying at their apartments, very expensive for a shabby apartment, be stay away if you have no choice, go else where in a better hotel/apartment where you can have b & b and for a better price at least like the Radisson Blu hotel.
travelgirl29440 (10/5): A perfect location and an amazing apartment! - I arrived in Birmingham late afternoon and the staff couldn't have been nicer. My apartment wasn't quite ready and they went above and beyond to make sure I had all I needed while I waited. The apartment was the perfect spot to return each evening after my conference and I enjoyed the location and the closeness to the Christmas market, especially! I higly recommend staying at No 8 Waterloo and will certainly return there myself if I'm ever in the area.
Nicola (10/5): Relaxing New Year Stay - We stayed for one night on New Years Eve. The apartment is really well located for some great restaurants & bars. The apartment is very well presented and has everything you need for a few nights away. The building is stunning inside and out. We were greeted and shown to our apartment by a friendly member of staff, she explained the heating system to us and then left us to relax. Within an hour of checking out we had been refunded the security deposit so all very efficient. We would definitely stay again!

sarahpatti321 (10/5): Amazing Apartments - This is truly a stunning place to stay. The quirky building is beautiful and the apartment we stayed in was just beautiful. When we arrived, we were greeted and shown to our room by a lovely lady. We were shown where we could find everything in the apartment and how to work the thermostat. We were assured that if we needed any assistance with anything we could get in touch with her anytime during our stay. The apartment was very stylish and spacious and consisted of ; an open plan fully equipped kitchen, table and chair,modern sofa, large flat screen t.v, iron and ironing board, modern hair dryer, a double bed with a stylish bedside light either side, well lit bathroom with shower. It really does have everything you could possibly want during your stay. The location of the apartments is brilliant, right in the heart of Birmingham city centre, surrounded by many restaurants and bars and only a short distance from the train station. Would 100% recomend staying in these apartments and will definitly be coming back for another stay.

Decor, cleanliness and quality of accommodation outstanding- limited check in time was almost a problem as it is difficult to predict traffic problems ! If you like the apartment approach- these are suberb but I missed the other services you get with a hotel
