• Rebecca (8/5): Would stay again but needs a few basics - Great location, huge rooms in a very quiet apartment building. Clean The door was very difficult to open and there wasn't a TV despite it being on the photo. Could have provided a few basic amenities (washing up liquid, tea/coffee dishwasher pods, hand soap etc).

• Corriette (9/5): Lovely and spacious apartment in a great location. Would definitely recommend! - Lovely and spacious apartment in a great location. Our family had a great time there. Everything is very clean and the apartment is feels very much like a real home. The host is very helpful and responsive. There was construction going on in the apartment above us, but I don't think our host can be blamed for that.
• Johanna (9/5): Mooi appartement boven op de berg bij het kasteel. - Fijn slaapkamers, goed schoon. Heerlijk bed. Lekker ruim. Rustig in de nacht. De bank in de woonkamer zit echt niet lekker. De douche blijft niet constant op temperatuur. Krijg je soms koud water over je lijf.
• Andrea (6/5): Hatten uns vom Beschrieb und den Fotos mehr versprochen- schade - Die Lage war ganz angenehm. Es war ruhig. Spülmaschine war okay. Es war nicht richtig sauber, haben u.a. von Vorgängern ein Armband unter dem Bett gefunden; die Küche wurde wohl schon länger nicht mehr richtig geputzt; der Kühlschrank hat so stark gekühlt, dass alles gefroren ist (auf niedrigster Stufe); Toilettenbürste ohne Griff,Fön so eklig- mochte man nicht anfassen. Nur ein Teelöffel, nur große Essteller vorhanden; ein paar Kaffeetassen für den ersten Tag wären gut gewesen. Im Ganzen Haus ein muffiger Geruch.

• Francois (6/5): Satisfaisant dans l'ensemble mais pas à la hauteur des promesses - L'immeuble typique, et l'emplacement dans le quartier Afalma malgré une vue sur des ruines côté cuisine. L'appart est spacieux et ensoleillé. Pas de bruit dérangeant le soir. Dommage de ne pas rencontrer le propriétaire ( on se serait cru sur Airbnb !) et que son temps de réponse soit long. Nous avons rencontré quelques difficultés avec le grand lit dont le sommier était cassé. Il a été réparé dans la journée mais cela prouve le manque de suivi surtout pour un propriétaire professionnel de l'hôtellerie ! D'autres part, il serait bon d'équiper les salles de bain d'endroit pour poser sa trousse de toilette et d'accrocher ses affaires. Et équiper la cuisine de petites cuillères !

• Piotr (8/5): - Good large apartment with great location. The television was advertised, but it was not present in the apartment. We were informed that it was broken and had been removed. No effort was made to replace it during our three-day stay. On a rainy day, especially with a child, a television would have been quite beneficial at times.
• Irena (10/5): - Mogoce bi bilo potrebno izpostavit, da obstaja malo pod apartmajem dvigalo, ki prihrani pot po stopnicah in da je tam tudi supermarket. Sicer pa je lokacija super, ponoči mirna, gostitelj je bil odziven in je pomagal. Priporočam Vse ok
• Mackenzie (9/5): mostly very satisfactory - this place is in a very good location. The apartment is tastefully appointed, comfortable, great bathrooms, clean in the photo on booking.com there was a TV in the unit, but we had no TV. The host said they were working on replacing the one that had been there but it was not done while we were there. We are older and do not go out on the town at night so a TV is how we relax, watch the news etc. It probably wouldn't matter to a lot of people but it did to me.
• Estelle (9/5): Bon emplacement, très bon rapport qualité/prix, le descriptif correspond à la réalité. - Très bien placé, juste à côté Castelo Sao Jorge. Situé dans un quartier calme. Appartement spacieux avec 2 salles de bain avec toilettes. Lits grands et confortables. Logement très propre. Les photos correspondent bien au logement. Quelques équipements du logement manquaient. Comme la cafetière et la télévision. Alors qu'ils étaient dans le descriptif.

The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable. The host was fantastic and got back to us immediately. Absolutely nothing to complain about. The property was exactly as it looked in the photographs.

• Karine (5/5): - It was easy to find and enter the apartment. Instructions were clear and I like that I didn’t need to meet with someone so I could come at suitable time for me. Comfortable bad. Apartment is tired, very tired. In one of the bathroom, there was an old paint on the doors that was falling off, in the other bathroom a toilet was wobbly. The smell in the entrance was like a basement, it smelled of dampness. Second room with 2 beds didn’t have proper light and it was noisy because windows faced the street

• rachel (10/5): Very nice - Amazing apartment. It's huge. Cool view of part of the wall of castelo de Sao Jorge which is literally around the corner. 15 minutes to walk down the the water. Great walking area...little streets with arches, tunnels. Everything worked great. Windows shut just fine. Bed was very comfortable and I'm choosey. Dishwasher and washing machine excellent. Apartment was arid so clothes dried easily. Heating throughout. Cute little terrace, fun to sit there at night and listen to the city. People with mobility issues, definitely make sure you know what you are getting in to.
• Leilani (10/5): Exceptional - This is one of the best places I have ever stayed in from Booking.com Definitely recommend it. Location is exceptional, there is everything you need and want to see close by. The owner also informed us about a free lift inside the one grocerie shop so we didnt have to climb all the stairs with groceries (also used it after a long day of tired legs) Struggled a bit to figure out the trick with opening the door but eventually found it. Most of the surrounding area is hilly and has stairs, if mobility is an issue for you I would not recommend it.
• M.l. (6/5): Pleasant - The apartment is spacious and the beds are good. The location is top notch and check-in was easy. When we arrived at the apartment we found that one of the two fans was not functioning. Since it gets very hot in the apartment (outside temperature around thirty degrees) these are a must. We had chosen this apartment specifically so that our one and a half year old daughter would have her own room. However, because we had only one fan (which we pointed out when we arrived on Friday, but no action was taken by the host) we still had to sleep in one room together. However, the worst thing was the fact that the windows of the kitchen cannot be locked (they can just be slid open), so the apartment cannot be adequately locked. This caused us to not feel comfortable going for a walk around the block when our child was asleep with a baby monitor on. I immediately brought this up to the host, but all I heard back was that there have never been any problems and it is “safe.” Personally, I find this to be a baffling response from the host and leads me to advise against recommending this apartment to others.

• Amanda (5/5): Adequate - Nice cafe at the end of the street. Grocery store not too far away just a lot of stairs as is norm in the area. Taxis won’t drive to the door. Need to get up a steep hill & two flights of stairs with luggage. If you’re booking an Uber you also have to walk to a pickup point. It’s not too far but if you have mobility issues It could be hard. Also a pain if it’s raining. Windows in the kitchen weren’t secure and the safety and security didn’t feel amazing I felt a bit unsafe as a solo female traveler. I had no problem while there though but used a door jam. No blinds or curtains in the kitchen/dining so I felt very exposed at night. More clear instructions on checkin ect would be better. All done via WhatsApp and a bit iffy and all over the place. Door numbers would be ideal.

• Ryan (1/5): Bad - Nothing! They didnt even tell us there’s no airconditioner. The house door locked is so hard to open. So dissappointed. Landlord is super rude not helpful. As we couldnt get in the apartment because the locked is so weird. But the landlord didnt response
• Larenza (7/5): Great location in the bustling touristic centre, needs a little maintenance. - Great location in the bustling tourist area. Spacey apartment with all the amenities needed. Fantastic is you are looking for accommodation in the touristic centre. The geyser is too small for the amount of people staying and there were a couple of quality issues.
• Anonymous (8/5): Great place and location but lacking a lot of necessities - I loved the historic nature of the property and so close to the castle. Beds were comfortable.  Lots of hair in the bathtub that wasn’t ours when we got there. Shower didn’t drain properly. No napkins or paper towels, no shampoo, only shower gel.  A dishwasher, but no dishwasher detergent. Although they were two showers, you could not run them simultaneously as there is barely enough pressure for one shower, and the hot was very inconsistent. There was a box for bed linens for the pull out couch but no sheets included, just a duvet, which was much too hot for July. We asked for an airport transfer, but didn’t receive a response for more than 13 hours so we ended up having to book something ourselves.
• Todd (8/5): Beautiful home away from home. Great location. Clean. - Loved the location, definitely strategically located. The apartment was spacious with a washer. Felt like I was living among the locals. The apartment was noisy in the front rooms and we couldn't shut the windows or it would've been too hot. There are only 2 fans available - Wish there were 4 (one in each room). The drains and washer should be cleaned routinely.

• Arun (7/5): Superb spot, just travel light in case you've to lug your luggage here - Location was very good, close to Castel de Sao Jorge and the apartment had a very roomy kitchen and newly remodeled bathrooms. The apartment was spacious, well furnished and had good natural light in every room including the kitchen. It also had ALL the amenities one could ask for. The location was a CLIMB, and a very steep one so if one was using Uber/Bolt they couldn't get into the restricted areas of this spot so one had to lug the luggage up some very steep climb. We booked a car from the property to get there. Also, the water pressure was so low that if you open any one tap anywhere in the apartment, the water in the other taps went down to a trickle which made showering very tricky!!! Also toiletries are sparse. You can take a taxi (not Uber or Bolt) and they are allowed in the restricted area. There is a taxi stand at the castle wall barely 15 steps away.
• Greg (9/5): Fantastic property, great location, Frederico a great host and very helpful and responsive- would not hesitate to stay a - Brilliant location, authentic, clean, well equipped…….would stay there again! can be some noise late at night, however, this should be expected in old town in such a popular city…..but did not spoil experiences
• Shalini (9/5): Great Location in a very comfortable apartment - fabulous location. you could not be better located when visiting. it is up a hill so be warned but then Lisbon is hilt. great apartment with enough space for our family of 5. comfortable beds and also a kitchen which we didn’t use. there could have been a better provision for toiletries but that aside nothing else.
