• Matt (9/5): Perfect for a one-night stay - Excellent check-in instructions, friendly staff, good breakfast, nearer than it looks to the centre of Bewdley. A really nice place to stay The property is creaky and by a relatively busy road so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Also no parking by the property but the check in instructions give you lots of information n where you can park

• Ward (7/5): Lovely place and very good value, shame about the uncomfortable bed. - Breakfast was excellent. Shower room was nice as was the tea making facility. The new double glazed windows were stylish and functional. The biggest issue was the bed, it was too soft and very uncomfortable. The shower hose & housing could do with a good clean.

• Timothy (7/5): - Location, friendly staff and the staff letting me leave my suitcase in the walkway between rooms at 12:20 before my room was ready then wheeling it into my room. I put my towel on floor on two of the mornings as I felt it was too wet to be used however both times it was hung up again. I also didn’t like the lack of windows in my room the only window being in the bathroom.

The room needs a coat hook and a chair. The water was slow going down the sink in the bathroom, needs to be rectified.

• Tina (7/5): comfortable. I would book again as its location was excellent for Bewdley town centre - comfortable but basic., a lovely breakfast. I found checking in a bit complicated but had not received the text giving instructions- so it was a bit stressful. A bit noisy- creaking floorboards.....
• Marguerite (3/5): A disappointing experience - Friendly staff. Clean bedroom and separate bathroom tidied daily by staff and coffee sachets and milk topped up. Helpful staff in answering questions and providing a chair when requested. Location very near heritage station and town centre. Tasteful and recently refreshed decor and windows that open. Room very small with no chair and bedside cabinet only on one side of sloping small double bed with ultra soft mattress that meant you kept rolling into the middle. Shower that just about reached warm but not hot. Very small towels. Sink doesn't drain well. BREAKFAST OK if all you wanted was a cooked breakfast but cereal and marmalade had to be requested and you were lucky if they had any cereal to offer. One of our 3 days they didn't. No fruit or yoghurt offered and when we asked for coffee we were told that paying guests only get instant coffee (which was tasteless) as the "barista coffee " advertised on their coffee shop publicity was only for coffee shop customers. The same was true when we asked for croissants.This made us feel like second class citizens. NARROW staircase should be declared as you need to be able bodied to cope with it. Leaving a high chair at the foot of the stairs was a safety hazard. Apologies for the negative review but I have been detailed in the hope that the management will take note as this could be so much better.

• Luke (10/5): I'd happily stay there again. - The place really felt like home. Really clean, very newly renovated and done well whilst still maintaining the old building. Breakfast was 10/10. Location was on point. Staff were really helpful and nice. The fact that it didn't have a reception area, but that's being picky.

I’ll stay again! - A friendly welcome, a fancy new keypad for building access, a clean and comfy room, brand new double glazed sash windows to keep the street noise and cold out, and a lovely breakfast two days running. Service at breakfast on Sunday morning was slow. The cafe was about 60% full, but I didn’t have my order taken for about 20 minutes! Also - and somewhat my fault - I hit my head on the door frame outside my room. There weren’t any ‘low ceiling’ or ‘hazard’ markings. I’m over 6ft, but still… :-(

• David (9/5): Great stay at the Severn Valley Guest House - The staff are all very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was freshly prepared with a good choice. New double glazed windows have been fitted. Great location for exploring the Severn Valley and Bewdley. Nothing as I had a great stay.
• Andrew (9/5): Excellent budget stay - Good value, single room definitely small but comfortable and well looked-after. Superb cooked breakfast. Severn Valley Railway station a short walk away, and town centre not much further. Bus stop to/from Kidderminster just along the road. An undisturbed night's sleep. Daytime tea room looked nice but I didn't need to use it. Hard to find anything to complain about so just a few comments. For the price I wouldn't expect (and didn't get) an extensive choice at breakfast, so no selection of yoghurts, soft fruit etc. The building is old and squeezed between others so the stairs were winding and there was no real view out of my small window, though other rooms may be different.

• Amy (7/5): Comfortable stay and great breakfast - Easy check in and out, key was in a lock box rather than a lengthy check in process. Location was close to Safari Park which was where we were visiting for an event. Breakfast was really good in the cafe (included in stay), quick service, and the staff were friendly (this was the only time we saw/spoke to staff). Shower pressure was good. Towels provided. Room was freezing cold when we arrived, but got warm very quickly when heating turned on. There was quite a bit of dust. Room was very small, which was fine for what we needed but i probably wouldnt stay in that particular room for more than 1 night. No window or view, think the frosted window must've just looked on to a storage area or something (but to be honest we didn't book a room with any expectation of "a view")

• Tina (1/5): - Firstly there is no parking at this b&b. If you have anyone disabled in your party please book somewhere else. The stairs are winding, steep and there is only 1 hand rail to use! When I booked i told them that our son was disabled, they put us on the top floor, our son was scared to go up the stairs. . We paid £135 for that room .. we had to find another .. we went into town and got a room for £64!

• Maureen (5/5): Basically, Adequate - At £90 for two per night, it was very affordable. The little cafe where you get a perfectly reasonable breakfast was really rather nice. No where to park, so no choice but to offload our car on the very busy road immediately outside. Traffic noise dreadful throughout the night. Train passes so close to bedroom window that you can wave at each other! Room very basic in every respect - which we both found incredibly disappointing.
