- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean place to stay in downtown KK - HOOD was very clean and felt pretty safe. We stayed in a private room and it was comfortable enough. There are a lot of shops and restaurants around and you can walk to just about anything in central KK. The pillows were a little uncomfortable, but its a hostel, not a hotel. My biggest complaint is that the wifi was so slow and unreliable to be almost completely unusable. There are coffee shops nearby with fast wifi. Also be warned that the front desk staff are not always there, so if you want to check in you may need to call them (the front door is locked, you get a key once you check in). All in all, a great place to stay if you have a local mobile phone.
