Ins Dorfzentrum muss etwas Zeit für den Weg in kauf genommen werden 5min., ist aber kein Nachteil, man sollte jedoch gut zu fuss sein.

Angela (10/5): Stunning relaxing accommodation in Salina - Absolutely the most stunning accommodation on Salina. Don’t think twice about booking. Staff were amazing! They helped organised tours and booking scooters to explore the island. Pool was amazing and great to come home to after a day exploring. Make sure you check out the bar next door - incredible and the beach club below the hotel. Both just amazing for sunset!

The gardens and communal spaces are beautiful, and the roof top terrace is incredible for aperitifs. Quiet location, friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Valentina was an exceptional person to deal with at the hotel, as were the restaurant staff. We dined at the restaurant for lunch and dinner several times and the food was really nice. There are two sisters who run the restaurant and they are so nice ! We loved staying there and would love to go back. The pool area is something we will never forget ! Nothing

And the best beach on the island was right below the hotel- again a 5 min walk. However the highlight was the top sun deck with a bar that opened for sunset drinks. Pure magic!! The hotel totally exceeded our expectations!!

Annabelle (10/5): Beauty & Friendliness! - The hotel is absolutely beautiful - from the gardens, to the interior design, and the spectacular views from the room, the pool, and the rooftop bar. The staff is so lovely, kind, and helpful. They always greeted us with a smile and were ready to help with anything we needed. We also really enjoyed the delicious lunches on their airy terrace. The paninis and salads are fresh and delicious! We felt right at home and very lucky that we could spend our holiday here. This is a true gem! The dinner at the restaurant could be improved a bit. Some of the pasta dishes lacked flavour or had too much salt. What we really appreciated, though, is that they accommodated our request for some vegetarian options. That was very kind.
Stay44623462211 (10/5): Absolutely amazing - Staying at Hotel Punta Scario is amazing. The position is second to none, right on the edge of the cliff over the sea, with a breathtaking water view from your own balcony (taking in sunrise, sunset, or both). Thanks to the reception team who were all fabulous. Valentina arranged for a driver to meet us at Santa Maria Marina, then greeted us so warmly on arrival. Her manner was so open and friendly and we benefited from her in depth knowledge of the island throughout our stay. With an infinity pool over the sea, a rooftop cocktail bar serving signature cocktails (as well as the classics), and a restaurant with superb food, there really was no need to venture outside this slice of heaven. Federica and Simona greeted us like good friends each time we arrived for drinks or a meal and are justifiably proud of the culinary experience they have created. There are other hotels and eateries up the hill, and other activities to enjoy on the island, but it was hard to take time away from this idyllic hotel. If you are thinking of booking a stay at Hotel Punta Scario, just do it. We absolutely loved our stay here.

Nathan (6/5): Beautiful location, could be better overall - Beautiful location, really helpful front desk staff who were very accommodating, great pool. Very close to Punta Scario beach. Sadly rooms are very, very dated and in desperate need of renovation. Beds are quite uncomfortable unless you like sleeping on an extremely firm mattress. Restaurant is incredibly overpriced for very average tasting food, breakfast selection poor. Much better restaurants elsewhere in Malfa for half the price.

The rooms are spacious and we had the best views overlooking the ocean. The pool area is fabulous and the breakfast on the terrace was very comprehensive. coxness (10/5): A uniquely special, friendly and beautiful place - We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Punta Scario. My wife and I were immediately impressed by the beautiful setting and the friendly welcome. Our room was cosy and tastefully decorated, and we loved having a private balcony where we could relax and take in the amazing views. The hotel also has a lovely infinity pool from which we could see Stromboli puffing away. The food at the hotel’s restaurant was outstanding, with superb local wines including Bianco Del Comandante, which is one of the best wines for fish I’ve ever had. The staff went out of their way to make our stay special – they are so lovely, they may be the best thing about the place. They were very patient about me trying my beginners Italian in conversations! My wife and I are already looking forward to coming back - we miss it and almost feel homesick about it! A uniquely special place.

Brigida (6/5): Disappointed in island and hotel for the price we paid. - It was pretty with a lovely pool and gardens For the price we paid the breakfast was lacking in quantity and quality. Basic foods with lots of cake and cereals. Not much of a selection and the staff at breakfast time was not very friendly or even pleasant. My thoughts are that they only interested in making money and do not care about their guests. Horrible location as the buses cannot be relied on. Hard to get from A to B and the taxis charge what ever they like. I would never go back to that place nor the island.

Odyssey424348 (10/5): Unique and lovely place - your best option on Salina! - A lovely experience from start to finish! Clara is so kind. Situated on a high cliff - with a small but lovely pool with the best views on the island! Nice pillows and bed. Lovely views from both our rooms - especially the Premium room. Superior room has slightly larger sitting area on balcony. Rooms are spotlessly cleaned! Spectacular views from rooftop bar! Really nice breakfast, although hot dishes cost extra. Pool never crowded - and they do not close the pool in evenings, so you could practically bathe at midnight if you want to. Drinks and snacks are ordered up in the bar and are then served by the pool if you desire. Drinks typically come with some savoury snacks. DEFINITE SEAL OF APPROVAL - and I'm picky! A place for both physical and mental regeneration, this is your best bet on Salina (checked some of the other top hotels) - an absolutely lovely place.

TravelingCTfamily (10/5): The best find of our trip to Sicily! - We absolutely adored our stay at the Punta Scario. The setting is simply to die for beautiful overlooking the sea, with views of Stromboli and was so serene. The rooms are lovely and the outdoor spaces are beautiful and special. All of the staff members were extremely friendly and delightful to speak with (and they were helpful with all sorts of questions). We would come stay again for certain and can’t say enough good things about it (and all 3 couples in our group would agree)

Paddotopalmy (2/5): Underwhelming and Overpriced Restaurant - We just had dinner at the restaurant and whilst the hotel itself looked amazing the meal was the most underwhelming and overpriced meal of our trip. I initially ordered the gnocchi with mussels it was crazy salty (and trust me I normally love my salt) so salty that I had to send it back so the waiter suggested I order another dish so went for the zucchini pasta with ricotta upon her recommendation- photo attached as it has to be seen to be believed as it’s literally pasta with fried zucchini and shaved ricotta on the side for 22 Euro. Really hope they can get their kitchen sorted as the property was so beautiful.

Salina is as close to a paradise as you’ll travel. Naturally beautiful. TV in the room was busted but if you’re travelling to Salina to watch TV, you should probably reconsider.

everydaytravelAnn (10/5): Peaceful bliss at Hotel Punta Scario - Hotel punta scario is perhaps heaven. Best hotel I've been to recently. The view of Stromboli is incredible. We spent three relaxing days by the swimming pool and evenings on the deck with the beautiful sunset for an aperitif. Every detail was just perfect - including the breakfast bag to take with us when we left for the early ferry. Valentina made our experience exceptional - she helped us tremendously when our ferry was canceled due to the wind. A huge thank you for saving our vacation! She also was great with recommendations of local activities and restaurants. All of the staff were attentive and kind. We did wine tasting and aperitifs at capofaro which was lovely, but think the view from punta scario (and food) much better. Love hotel Punta Scario, definitely highly recommend!

Merih (10/5): Boutique hotel charm with exquisite views. - We stayed here after an active two weeks and climbing Stromboli. It was the perfect end to a holiday, small boutique hotel with lovely staff and a quiet atmosphere. The pool is quaint with a lovely view and the beach worth swimming at (public beach). The view from our bedroom was stunning and the terrace upstairs serves drinks and food to watch sunsets - views for days. All in all lovely stay and highly recommended. All was in order.
Anonymous (10/5): Really amazing and calm vacation. - Beautiful panoramic views of the Aeolian Islands. The staff was so nice and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and provided great options/recommendations for touring the islands. I wish the hotel could arrange a shuttle for the guests to get to and from different places on the island. Since cars aren’t allowed, it gets expensive to travel to and from different towns.
Palisi (10/5): Wonderful - Wonderful location, close to beautiful swimming spot and restaurants with delicious food. Host was so kind and thoughtful making our stay special. Clean, fresh linen, good shower & toiletries provided.

Ruby (10/5): Exceptional - This Hotel is the best, staff are so nice and the pool is amazing. I think it’s the best view on the island. Location is great, just a quick walk to town. 4 nights wasn’t enough, wish we stayed longer. Sauna and stream room is such a great addition.
Dominique (10/5): absolutely stay here - the view and sitting by the pool or terrace for aperitivo is incredible. rooms are simple / b - the most incredible view and pool I’ve ever seen, could sit there for hours just in awe, plus the staff were fantastic beds could be a little comfier and I got a bit cold without blankets provided, and there was a step in the bathroom i would trip on in the night sometimes
Anna (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay at Punta Scario! It had jaw droppingly beautiful views, and it was so peaceful and comfortable. they have an incredible bar overlooking the water, a perfect place to have a drink and appetizer at sunset. they also are right next to the entrance of the beach! they were so helpful and accommodating. we would definitely stay here again!
Anonymous (8/5): Exactly what we hoped for. Peace, quiet, views and active volcano. - Beautiful cliff top location with infinity pool and views to Stomboli from our room and rooftop terrace bar. Simple, but comfortable bedrooms. Breakfast on shaded terrace with views across bay. Lovely, helpful staff. Quiet location in a quiet, pretty village with good bus connections to other parts of island. Not a. criticism of the hotel as such as wherever you go in Salina there are a steep hills. However, it’s cliff top location means it’s a bit of a trek up to the village of Malfa and beyond that up another hill to the main road catch local bus. Public beach down steep path below hotel is very stony - beach shoes essential… but the small bar at the back serves simple but tasty salads and panini.
Emily (10/5): best hotel on Salina - the perfect location. perfect pool. the view is amazing. the rooms are super clean and comfortable with great balcony views. the family and staff that run the place are so so lovely and thoughtful and every day was a delight. easy walk to town. will definitely be back.

Michael (10/5): Exceptional - everything about this place iso perfect. the staff is incredibly helpful and will book you with reservations at incredible restaurants. the view from the rooftop bar is unbelievable. my husband and I sat up there every night and had a happy hour drink as we watched the sunset before dinner. breakfast was divine and the infinity pool is incredible! everything was perfect!
