• Marla (7/5): Nice castle to visit- good if you are in the room for sleeping and exploring the local area. - The castle was beautiful and the rooms were a nice size with the option of a bathtub in some. There was a good breakfast provided and they were able to provide some Gluten free options for my partner. Except for a table and chairs right outside our room there was no common area to sit in the evening and only plastic cups with no cork screw in the room, at a wine resort. The front desk was closed at 1900 and after hours there was no real way to get a hold of anyone with the staff for questions

He asked us our touring plans and made good suggestions. Great breakfast!! Wifi worked. Bonus for us it is on a segment of the via Francigena, which we took into Monteriggioni on our last day. Stunning! The beds and pillows are hard. The soap was tiny.

• Daniel (4/5): Off season stay - There were some nice sites near the hotel. We did not enjoy our stay. It may have been because we stayed on the off season. There was no interaction with the staff. The greeting was a video on how to get to our room. When we got to the room the landing in front of our door was covered in bird droppings. I walked the property and never found a winery. There was someone in what I thought was the office and asked about the winery she pointed to some bottles of wine on a shelf and wanted to know if I wanted to buy some. We stayed 3 nights. The second morning when we woke up the room had a sewer smell. I texted the number I had and was told let them know when we left the room so someone could check. We wanted someone to come as soon as they could, but was told they did not want us in the room, so we left. When we returned the smell was covered up, because the when we woke the next morning the smell was back, worse than the day before. We let the staff know the smell was back. We packed and left.

It was walkable to a small town with services and a short drive to a town with several recommended restaurants. The bed was very firm, which was a little uncomfortable to me. Wine tasting was not offered,I did not ask, but thought it would be discussed at check in because it was not communicated during prior messaging.

An evening wine tasting and charcuterie let us converse with travelers from all over the world. Comfortable, generous rooms, and a well-maintained pool. Spend 2-3 nights if you can!

• SteveMK2023 (6/5): Pleasant Enough - It’s encouraging to read so many positive reviews as we were of the opinion that it’s a matter of personal choice. For some the chinsy old fashioned rooms on an estate with nothing around and with no on site bar or food options might suit. But it wasn’t for us. There is a basic restaurant ten minutes walk away for food and drinks. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool is massive but very cold. The buildings are delightful too. The room was very traditional with old world furnishings complete with doylies like your nan had! It was clean apart from the bathroom that needs the grimy shower screen strip replaced (simple job) and the jet nozzles scrubbed. The other annoyance was we only got four tiny sachets of shower gel rather than the usual dispenser. Breakfast was plentiful and pleasant, particularly eating outside.

• Tobias (9/5): Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit perfekter Lage für Ausflüge ins Umland - Sehr gepflegte Anlage, die durch das Castel eine besondere Atmosphäre bietet. Das Personal war immer zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Frühstück mit ausreichend Auswahl. Die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge ins Umland wie z. B. nach Siena (ca. 20 min) oder San Gimignano (ca. 25 min) mit dem Auto. Monteriggioni ist 10-15 Minuten entfernt und bietet gute Möglichkeiten für ein schönes Abendessen. Mini-Bar mit sehr fairen Preisen. (Bier 2,5 €) Die Zimmer waren ziemlich hellhörig. Keine gratis Wasserflasche auf dem Zimmer.

• sara (9/5): - Vacanza di coppia di 3 giorni. Il posto è un vero gioiello, tenuto perfettamente. Il titolare è una persona molto affabile, attenta e preparata e lo staff cortese e disponible. Camera cómoda e pulita con aria condizionata e un piccolo frigo bar. Colazione dolce e salata super e molto varia (pancake top!) . Un punto in più per la piscina. Vino di produzione che ha permesso di fare un ottimo aperitivo con assaggio di salumi e tornare a casa con un ricordo. Consigliato e da riprovare! Mi è piaciuto tutto, peccato non aver potuto prendere un caffè nel pomeriggio 😉
