Guest Reviews
- Dawn (7/5): Owner very helpful especially with travel plans. - very sweet, bright cheery room central to town but off main road so quiet
- Angela (8/5): -
- Kate (10/5): -
- Alka (10/5): Comfortable, clean and homely. - Central location, host Steve was lovely as were the breakfasts!
- Jeff (8/5): I stayed here for the Goodwood Members Meeting. Very close and easy drive. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating - Easy walking distance to town and restaurants. The owner had a parking spot in his driveway. Easy walking to train station if needed. Owner offered full English breakfast. Shower a bit tight but not a deal breaker.
- peter (9/5): We were very comfortable in a warm house and we would definitely book this B&B again. - The bathroom was very clean and big. Well cooked Full English Breakfast and plentiful.....brilliant. My wife had a smaller one (her choice) but again she was very pleased with it. We also had a great chat with Steve at breakfast time....he was a wonderful host and we were made to feel very welcome.
The B&B was close to the city centre and the train station....for our stay we didn't need a car at all. There was nothing to dislike!
- Russell (9/5): We were made to feel welcome and felt at home throughout our stay. - A short walk away from the city centre without feeling in the city.
- Elizabeth (8/5): Great hosts, breakfasts, excellent location - Lovely friendly hosts, fabulous location, great breakfasts, good size room Minuscule bathroom with no hooks or storage. Parking was difficult.
- Alison (8/5): Very enjoyable. Great breakfast - and great conversation to go with it. - Owner extremely welcoming and helpful. Shower pan in bathroom a bit cramped.
- Matt (9/5): -
- Avril (9/5): Would recommend. Very welcoming. - Warm, friendly and quaint property. Fantastic location to town. Everything fine
- Walden (8/5): -
- Jackie (9/5): We had an enjoyable stay, a lovely choice of breakfast and the owners were extremely friendly. We will stay again. - The owners made sure we were warm and kept the heating on as it was a very cold damp weekend. The shower was difficult to use, I think it needed a bit of an update.
- Elaine (5/5): Location to centre is great. Needs refurbishment. Not worth the money. Breakfast table is a shared table in the same roo - Location Decor. Needs updating
- Colin (9/5): Perfect location for the city - Excellent location and the breakfast was top notch. We were happy with everything
- Ray (10/5): Very attentive host who made our stay a pleasure. - Local to high street. Free parking, lovely breakfast, comfy bed. Very welcoming. It was the worst shower ever!
Also very poor lighting in bathroom for hubby to have a shave.
- DAVID (8/5): -
- Maria (9/5): Very nice accommodation in a nice town. - Friendly and welcoming host, nice chat and communication during the excellent breakfast. Everything you need for having a good start of the day.
Good size of the room and comfortable bed.
Close to the city center and train station. A bit difficult to moderate hot and cold water in the shower, along with low water pressure. Otherwise comfortable and spacious bathroom.
- Wolfgang (9/5): Charming Bed and Breakfast - Wunderschönes kleines Bed and Breakfast, mit großen und hellen Zimmern, sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, sehr gutes Frühstück, alternativ auf Wunsch Lunch Paket, ruhige und dennoch zentrale Lage.
- Frances (9/5): This will be our go-to B&B when we return to Chichester! - Steve, our host, was wonderful and made our stay a true delight. Room was pleasant, breakfasts were terrific. The location was perfect. Rooms were quiet and well provided. We had quite bit of rain during our stay and our event over three days was outdoors so much of our clothing was wet or damp each day when we returned from our event. Unfortunately we were unable to get our damp clothing dried overnight, though I'm sure had we mentioned this to Steve, he would have done his best to help us out.
- John (9/5): -
- rowenna (10/5): Delightful and we will certainly visit Cherry End again. - Lovely warm welcome from Fiona and Steve to their beautiful cosy home. Our room was very comfortable, quiet location, but very close to town and all amenities. Fiona and Steve were very interested in our plans during our visit and gave us some more ideas. Nothing, 11/10 thank you.
- STEPHEN (8/5): Ideal location quite - Steve was very welcoming all through our stay No problems at all
- Donna (10/5): -
- barbara (9/5): Very comfortable stay with friendly and accommodating hosts. Would return and happy to recommend. - Lovely place in quiet location and walking distance of town. Parking available. Good breakfast choices according to own requests. Comfortable and bright rooms.
- Marjorie (Holly) (6/5): Pleasant people but not five star accommodation. - Location and friendly owners. Cramped shower. Small bedroom. The bedroom and shower room both need to be renovated. The wardrobe is manky. We didn’t like the dog which was noisy in the evening. I’d have appreciated fresh fruit for breakfast.
- James (9/5): -
- Elizabeth (10/5): -
- Jorgen (9/5): - Comfortable room, good breakfast, close to the centre of town;and we can park the car at the house. Friendly hostel.
- Ronald (8/5): Excellent host free English breakfasts - Close to train station Nothing

Thank you for meeting you 2 !
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful accommodation!! Steve is a fantastic host!! Very warm and attentive!! Strongly recommend!!
- Malcolm (9/5): Very friendly and comfortable - Breakfast was very good, the owner took the trouble to ask what we would like and made sure he could provide it.
- Paulbjm (10/5): Exceptional - Very welcoming host, excellent location, lovely breakfast No complaints at all.
- Kim (9/5): Lovely Cherryend - Fantastic location, 5 minutes walk from the centre.
Smashing hosts Steve and Fiona, not forgetting lovely Monty the dog. Steve cooked us a great cooked breakfast, oj, cereal, and yoghurts available.
Comfortable room, bed, and bathroom. Would definitely recommend. Had trouble angling the shower head but didn't affect our stay in the slightest.
- Margot (9/5): A gem of a B&B - Charming house close to town centre. We had a twin room and the beds were so comfy. Very clean, fresh and loads of natural light.
Steve went out of his way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Really lovely breakfasts prepared by Steve. A natural host. Only slight issue was the en suite shower. Really small space but, in fairness to Steve, he mentioned this when he brought us to the room. We were still able to use it for our needs.
- Evelien (9/5): We had a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend this place. - The room was nice and tidy with a huge en suite bathroom. Comfortable bed.
The owners are absolutely lovely. Nice cooked breakfast as well. The centre and other sites are in walking distance.
- Vivvy (8/5): Quiet & comfortable b& b - Friendly owners...excellent breakfast....quiet situation...a v pleasant 10-minute walk to the centre of town Miniscule bathroom -- a couple of hooks (for towels, nighties etc) would have helped!
- Moira (9/5): Very comfortable and friendly B&B in a great location - Great location Steve and Fiona are very friendly and looked after us seeing to our every need . We had a fantastic cooked breakfast every morning .
- Charles (9/5): Charming and comfortable b and b. - A lovely place to stay. Kind, helpful host, comfy bed, plenty of space, good breakfast. Quiet location yet within easy walking distance to central Chichester. And Monty the dog is super cute! Recommended. Nothing.
- Lynn (5/5): Nice host, but not the room - Steve was a lovely host, friendly and helpful. The location in terms of proximity to town was good. The room was large by British standards. It was close to a ring road so there was traffic noise into the wee hours. The bed was too soft for my liking and the pillows quite flimsy. The bathroom was tiny and smelled faintly of old wee. The cold faucet tap needs replacing as you had to turn it round and round to get it flowing. More generally all the bathroom fixtures could do with an upgrade. The rugs were not especially clean, obvious because they were light coloured. I did not stay the second night I had booked.
- Adrian (7/5): Good -
- Teufelmann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Greatly enjoyed our stay — would highly recommend!! - Hosts were exceptional. Breakfast was excellent. The room was quaint and very comfortable— highly recommended!!
- Maria (8/5): Very good - Wonderful, helpful hosts, communication was great, breakfast scrumptious and 5 minute walk into town. A little tired (to be expected from a property over 120 years old).
- Enkhbat (9/5): Highly recommend - The place is close to the town centre. The hosts were very friendly and pleasant. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast was also very good.
- Stephen (5/5): Very tired decor, but friendly host and a great location. - Steve was very warm and friendly. Location was perfect. The decor was very tired and shabby, the bathroom in particular. The shower was very poor and difficult to adjust to a constant temperature.
- Baftas (10/5): Cosy stay - Comfortable bed, huge bathroom, close to the city but very quiet. Very friendly and helpful host. Shower was hard to get to the right temperature. Would have liked a bit more choice at breakfast.
- Trevor (3/5): Grim , nowhere near 4stars perhaps 1star. booking.com you ought to take this site off your booksl as it does you no good - Good location, comfortable bed and although breakfast was limited in choice in essence it was acceptable. The bathroom was ridiculous, far far too small — the towel was outside in the bedroom as there was not enough room in the bathroom. You had to dry yourself in the bedroom. The Basin plug hole and shower plug hole were rusty and degraded. The windows in the bedroom were very Graham with black mould all around the frames. No table to work from only one chair and a very small 24 inch TV which was difficult to watch from the bed. Considering this was advertised as a full star bed and breakfast it is a big disappointment and ln opinion struggles to reach even two stars. We were not expecting to share our breakfast with other guests at the same table, nor were we expecting to have a dog roaming around our feet while eating breakfast or to have the host sitting close by whilst we ate which was very offputting. The whole building I would describe as being in need of a lot of TLC as overall I would describe the B&B decor has grim. Not worth the money not even half the price would’ve been expensive.
- Lorna (10/5): A very cosy, homely stay. - Steve was a friendly and helpful host. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also quite large. The location was excellent. Set in a quiet side street walking distance to the town centre. The WiFi was good. I highly recommend a stay at Cherry End.
- Robert (8/5): Overall a good stay. - We received a warm welcome from the proprietor. Our room was comfortable and we had a good breakfast. The property is well located for the city centre, bus and rail stations in a quiet street. The shower room was small but adequate. The television was also small and a little hard to see from the beds at the other end of the room.
- John (9/5): We had a very enjoyable two night stay. Steve, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. - Excellent breakfast.
Very good location, close to city centre - a 10 minute walk - but nice and quiet.
- Michelle (9/5): We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - The service was excellent and the breakfast was amazing. We were made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts.
- Gill (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gillian (8/5): Perfect location, lovely Hosts . Very friendly & helpful - The breakfast was served hot & a wide variety. The location into Chichester was no more than 20 minutes away Not applicable
- Lewis (8/5): Good choice, nice host. - We liked our room very much. Nice host and easy access to town. Breakfast was very good. Nothing
- Moira (9/5): Lovely stay in Chichester. - Lovely host , comfortable double bed and big bathroom with good bath. Nothing

- Julie (7/5): Good -
- Sarabibi (10/5): Great place with a great host! - Host was friendly and communicative. Highly recommend!
- Paul (9/5): Very comfortable, enjoyable stay. Would recommend. - Welcoming host. Breakfast was excellent. Comfy bed. Everything clean. Tea and coffee in the room. En suite on the small side, especially the shower. I managed okay but a large person would struggle to move around in the tight space.
- Julia (8/5): Homely b and b close to Chichester town centre. - Bed very comfortable, breakfasts delicious, within just a few minutes walk of Chichester town centre, Steve very friendly and helpful. Bedroom/bathroom could do with updating, no fruit at breakfast,
- Diana (9/5): Charming stay in a delightful town - Jerry End provided us with a spacious comfortable room with a huge bathroom. Steve was a wonderful host and his home cooked breakfasts were great! We were within walking distance of the town. All good
- Jade (10/5): Very comfortable and perfect for exploring Chichester - Great location for centre, and hosts are lovely genuinely warm people Nothing
- Hannah (8/5): Lovely room and Monty was a bonus - Steve was great and very helpful. We loved the breakfast and seeing Monty!
Very close walk into the centre.
Beds very comfy. Slightly noisy but you'd expect that from an older building.
- Ruth (9/5): Top location. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly and accommodating owner. Recommended. - Location and owner. A blackout blind in the bedroom or thicker curtains would help because the external lighting (street lamp and light on flats and commercial properties) filtered through the curtains.
- Donna (9/5): We enjoyed our stay so much that we intend to return if possible - Location was perfect quiet but central to the city and buses. Parking was available at the property
The hosts were really helpful and friendly and accommodating
The twin room was comfortable and big enough although the en-suite shower was a bit small.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ayshe (8/5): Chichester is a lovely place to stay - The bedroom was nice, the bathroom was very big, excellent location and everything we wanted was within walking distance. Steve and Fiona were good hosts and very friendly The weather 😂

- Samantha (10/5): Lovely! - Breakfast was amazing, owners were lovely! The room itself was a great size, had everything you needed and the bed was very comfortable
- Frances (10/5): Friendly, comfortable b and b. Lovely breakfast, great location. Good value. - We were offered a cooked breakfast, by Steve, but opted for a continental breakfast instead. Enjoyed having breakfast by a real fire and a lovely pot of tea.
Steve is a very good host. Friendly, helpful and informative whilst giving you space and privacy.
Room was warm and comfortable. Felt relaxed and at home.
- Nigel (9/5): Superb - Excellent breakfast lovely room friendly host and great location.
- Cliff (9/5): Nice homely feel - Very accommodating and friendly, made us feel welcome. We arrived early and the room was ready for us to check in. Very close to the city centre. Parking was easy although we were lucky to find a space right outside. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast with our dietary needs catered for. With Monty the little dog making us feel at home. Not much to criticise. The only minor gripe was the fiddly adjustment of the taps for the shower but got the hang of it fairly quickly.
- David (10/5): Just a Faultless Experience leaving us with a warm glow - Fantastic B+B with a warm welcome from our Hosts on arrival
