We had an excellent view of the morning glow and the balloon launch. From the hotel, we enjoyed breakfast with the balloons hovering overhead. Spectacular! Indoor pool is a bit small.

The staff was all very friendly and kind. The included breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at any hotel. Even the days we went to the festival super early, the hotel offered a grab and go breakfast which was awesome! The entire hotel and rooms were clean including the workout room, pool area, and lobby. We would definitely recommend especially for families!

Some of the USB connections didn’t work for charging. The tissue and toilet paper are the lowest quality, scratchiest available. The breakfast meat options were not kept at a safe temperature so we couldn’t let our immune compromised child eat any of those. The rest of the breakfast was ok, nothing great. The room size was really spacious, so that was nice.

Spotlessly clean room and very quiet. The desk clerk who checked me in was odd, not friendly nor helpful. Seemed skeptical that I even had a reservation at all (good thing I printed out the Booking.com confirmation). Other employees (meaning the housekeeping staff) were nice when I saw them but in general the whole place seemed sort of abandoned, lacking in presence of employees or management. This felt a little uncomfortable for a woman traveling alone. The pool water was not clean (brownish color) and the pool was much smaller than appeared in the photos, so I did not use it, although it was a major reason for booking here.

There was flash flooding during one of the afternoons, and there was an effort by the staff to alert people to park their cars on the higher side. You can walk to several restaurants in the area and since the traffic is quite busy, this was a great option.

• Jacqueline (8/5): Good, but bathroom glass pane will make me choose elsewhere - Love that it fits our family of 5 I would say the thing that keeps my rating lower and will probably deter me from coming back again is the bathroom slider glass door…it’s frosted but it still shines through the room and it’s just so inconvenient when someone goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night or gets up early to shower while people are still sleeping. Not well thought out. But you could put some sort of scrapbook or wallpaper over the glass to take care of problem. Because it’s a problem and will stop me from booking anymore at this hotel.

• Ferney (10/5): Exceptional - We've stayed in many different hotel/motel/inns, but by far, this suite was one of the best that we've ever had. The breakfast was great, staff was friendly, and the location felt very safe. The only drawback to the room itself was more about a "design flaw" with the bathroom door. The door was opaque glass and when someone uses it in the night, it lights the entire room up and wakes everyone up. That is a VERY small constructive criticism when balanced against the overall greatness of SpringHill Suites Albuquerque.

• 609najeta (4/5): Rude person at check-in! First impression is everything Angel! - We are driving across country and always look for our favorite Hotel which happens to be Marriott. Wecoming and pleasant staff, usually comfortable rooms and above all clean Hotel. Upon arriving, we were not greeted by Angel that seemed very irritated before we even walked in. Mind you, we were the only guests at the counter. But she cut me off and stated " this is too overwhelming" when we asked her a couple of common questions! We were tired and just wanted to get rest. On the bright side the rooms were very clean, only downfall is the pillows where it's comfortable which is not typical for all the Marriotts we've ever stayed at.

• twin_ommy (6/5): Meh. Confused about stellar ratings. - Recent trip due to a family member funeral. We wanted to stick with the Marriott brand, but near everyone in Rio Rancho. After considering the reviews, this hotel was the obvious choice. I was surprised to see a bit of wear and tear on everything, as well as as disappointing levels of cleanliness. The king size mattress was visibly saggy in the center and my back confirmed it. The glass shower doors had hard water deposits that made them look dirty. Having grown up in New Mexico, I recognize it as hard water, but I believe that this should be avoided. Additionally, the bed linens had a slight odor of cigarette smoke. Admittedly, I am hyper sensitive, but it struck me as linens that had been in a smoker‘s home and then laundered. I believe this is a non-smoking property. Perhaps someone is smoking near the linens when they are being folded? I did not complain to management. I suspected that other rooms would be similar. Our room met the need, but left me confused when I considered the excellent ratings left by others on TripAdvisor. My experience was not that of a 4.6 positive property. On a positive note: this property had the best breakfast I have seen at probably any hotel. Several great food choices and well stocked.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Our U-Haul was almost stolen from the hotel! - The hotel is nice, but our fully loaded U-Haul truck was almost stolen from in front of the hotel while parked under the bright parking lights by the main entrance. First they tried cutting the padlock off the back, when they couldn’t (glad I researched what lock to use!) they broke into our truck, drilled out the ignition, and tried to steal the whole thing! The gentleman behind the counter felt bad, and was nice, but mentioned that 2 to 3 cars are broken into a year in the hotel parking lot. Be mindful of that.

• Ronald (8/5): - Other reviews seem a bit unrealistic. This is a standard roadside suite hotel in a strip mall near the freeway. It’s not a 9.4. I had to call the front desk due to a large group of kids playing in the hallway running up and down yelling. They took care of it promptly to their credit. It seems safe but there is really nowhere to walk if you want to go for a stroll. Several chain restaurants are nearby within walking distance though. On the last morning the pipes froze which meant no water until 9am. This is true of basically every hotel in Albuquerque but there is moderate road noise. The heater was fairly loud as well. Breakfast was 1/2 notch above the usual but nothing special. I ended up getting my own bakery items after the first day and just got coffee and sausage at the hotel. So not bad but not anywhere I’d want to stay for more than 3 days.

• Diane (8/5): Not really a Suite! - First the good: The Hotel and Room were very clean and updated. The Breakfast was very good. The Bad: A sofa in the same room does not make it a suite. A Glass Door on the Bathroom???? Even frosted iot was like turning on a light in the bedroom. Terrible. The AC/Heating made a very load noise off and on all night. Woke us up every time. Thr breakfast bar ran out of items and was not restocked because there was not more. We will not stay here again.
