Guest Reviews
- Naomi (9/5): Perfect location, quaint and welcoming cottage we loved staying at - Well maintained, comfortable and spacious location, heaters were on so when we arrived it was warm and welcoming, little touches to make you comfortable, everything you could need
- Cassim (9/5): We were a family of five, with two young children, and the property accommodated us perfectly. - The location was excellent; we hired a car, for which there was ample parking on- and off-street, and we seemed to be only 5-10 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go. The interior of the cottage is surprisingly spacious and the backyard and facilities were also appealing. We really wanted for nothing. No suggestions for improvement

- Fisher (8/5): - Great location and comfortable, tidy rooms. Some stains on downstairs bathroom door. Ants on one occasion in the kitchen. Downstairs shower handle came off in your hand when turning it on.
- Steven (10/5): Great house with excellent location for a Hobart stay - Great central location where we did day trips in and around Hobart. Close to great eating places,Black buffalo hotel and the Italian club
To name just two. Facilities were excellent.plenty of room for us , two couples.
- Lorren (10/5): - We had a fantastic stay — perfect for our little family. The home was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The host went above and beyond for us, which we really appreciated. We’d definitely stay again!
- John (9/5): Wonderful. - Loved the character of the house and location. Easy walk to the city and to botanical gardens. House had all facilities. Lovely view of kunanyi Mt Wellington from back yard. Am adding photo of strange cloud formation over kunanyi taken from the backyard of Brampton Cottage on first morning of our stay. It was really great coming “home” to Brampton Cottage every evening of our stay. That’s what it felt like - home. Shower tap in downstairs bathroom a bit temperamental. Also downstairs hair dryer. Everything else worked perfectly.
- Sharon (10/5): -
- Maxine (9/5): -

- Lisa (9/5): - Well set out, board games and books, tvs for the chilly evenings, so close to everything. Host was very easy to communicate with.
- Rachael (8/5): We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again - A well presented property with a lovely garden Nothing, it was a lovely property
- Bonnie (10/5): Perfect Cottage in Hobart - Beautifully set up accommodation- both practical and with character. The doors off the kitchen opened giving you an open indoor outdoor flow. The kitchen had all amenities. We also had our 3 year old and there were plenty of toys and books. It really is perfect for family and friends.
- Nadine (9/5): Heritage property with a modern twist close to all amenities - Great location close to town & shops but in a lovely quiet street. Off street parking was a bonus. Lovely heritage property with a modern twist. Very comfortable for 5 people with everything you could need. Fully functioning kitchen & laundry, 2 bathrooms & toilets and lovely back yard. Ted was a great host, we can throughly recommend a stay at Brampton Cottage
- Amanda (9/5): Perfect location to get around Hobart - The house is on a very quiet street. Parking in the driveway is a plus in North Hobart as a lot of streets have restrictions.
We were a group of four so plenty of space. We used the kitchen for breakfasts and a cooked dinner. Plenty of kitchen utensils on offer. You could walk to the shops on Elizabeth street if you wanted but we find driving more convenient.
Great stay for us.
- Tammy (10/5): LOVE LOVE LOVE. - Loved the whole experience The location was great and cottage was better than expected
- Catherine (10/5): -
- Jocelyn (10/5): - A lovely cottage with all modern cons, beds were comfortable and parking on premises an asset in this area, great little garden area and kitchen lounge area particularly inviting. The book in drawer showing how all appliances worked was great. There was nothing to dislike but some may not like 1 bedroom being upstairs
- Moya (10/5): Seriously a real gem just shy of Hobart CBD. Don’t hesitate and book your stay!! - Great amenities and cozy cottage vibe yet still modern and comfortable. Nothing.
- elizabeth (10/5): Stunning Accommodation! - Exceptional property in gorgeous location. Great value for money.
- Nikki (10/5): Great thanks. - Gorgeous place with 2 living areas
- Greg (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marit (10/5): Recommended and would definitely stay again if with a group. - Clean, well appointed. Good to have off street parking. Host easy to contact when we had a minor issue with keys.
Easily accomodates up to 6 although we were only 3.
- Sharyn (9/5): Warm, spacious and super clean with everything you could need. - So well equipped and warm and comfortable. Spacious 3 bedrooms. Great value. Host communication was great. Possibly some more guidance on local cafes and restaurants. Will need a car to get around etc which was fine for us.
- Mandy (10/5): Value for money, Great accommodation, would stay again. - Ted, the host, was great. Instruction was very clear for check-in. He said to make ourselves at home, and WE DID. It was so comfortable and the kitchen facilities were spot on, just like home. Very clean. They have a lemon tree in the yard and some herbs. Being in winter, it was great for hot drinks. The kids loved it.
- Bernardine (10/5): We enjoyed this lovely cottage . It was close to North Hobart restaurants - Bright and Airy but warm as well Nothing
- Alvin (10/5): The Brampton Cottage was a home away from home. - The cottage was an absolute delight, full working facilities, heating and everything you need to have a long stay. There were an abundance of toys for the little one and my little family absolutely loved it here. ☺️
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - Facilities, outside deck area, cleanliness, convenience.

- Tracy (10/5): A lovely, comfortable cottage providing a great base for exploring Hobart and surrounding areas. - Our group of four women loved our short stay at Brampton Cottage. The street was lovely and quiet, with plenty of parking and only a short walk from the many cafes and restaurants along Elizabeth St. The house was a relaxing haven with all the facilities and amenities we required for a comfortable stay. Our host gave clear instructions on accessing the house and was prompt in responding to our inquiries. Happy with everything.
- Shazzadoobi (10/5): Loved the cottage, very comfortable, home away from home -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious, very clean, everything we needed.Good location for restaurants. Upstairs bedroom has a narrow stairwell if you have a big bag but downstairs room was adequate for us.

- John (9/5): Superb -
- Kathy (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Ashley (8/5): Very good -
- Bruce (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and great facilities for a family of 5. Hot water in back bathroom was a little touchy and hard to regulate.
- Sara (5/5): Okay Stay + Location + Property - Location was ok - linens were clean and professionally arranged. Full facilities which was why we booked and Ted let us check in early which was very kind - did pop in a couple of times during our stay for items in dryer which I had removed already and to put rubbish bins out which we always usually attend to during our stays. Very dirty floors and downstairs toilet which I had to attend to and clean walls, floors, toilet before I would use it. House is very much in need of a full clean - i wiped down kitchen cupboards and doors for our use and washed all the knee rugs prior to using. Dust and grime about the place was very off putting and ruined what might have been an ok stay. Also early morning tradies from the business across the road provides noise and traffic. Also to note one large bedroom and bathroom upstairs very small, steep stairs so not great for anyone less mobile.
- Julie-anne (10/5): A place I would highly recommend. - Great house with lovely amenities and cost appropriate. NA
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, well appointed, warm
- Lee (6/5): Pleasant - Position and parking was great! Out back was nice. Kitchen drawers dirty, oven switch on wall has crack which could be dangerous - had to use it because oven doesn’t turn off using knobs. Cob webs in bathroom. Heating in lounge area not working.
- Elyse (10/5): Exceptional - Outstanding place, owner lovely, facilities perfect. Many thanks! Nothing
- Stuart (10/5): Great! - The layout suited us really well. Nothing.

- Peta (9/5): Superb -
- Ana (7/5): Good - Location was convenient and in walking distance to Elizabeth Street with its shops and restaurants. The kitchen and downstairs bathroom/toilet were grubby, doors dirty and sofa full of stains.
- Marcel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annemarie (10/5): Lovely house in a quiet area in a central location . - Lovely federation house with everything that you need. Beautiful garden . Very close to the city. We liked the quiet suburb and the super cafe at the end of the street. Vegetable garden for guests to enjoy. Nothing
- Joanna (10/5): Cute cottage. - Great cottage. Plenty of room. Very comfortable beds. Herbs in the garden. Close enough to walk into town (with teens). Close to distilleries, cafes, bakery and Woolworths. Ted allowed us a late checkout which was very kind.
- Pamela (9/5): Overall a great place to stay, with well equipped kitchen. It met our expectations. - The location was handy to a hotel for our evening meal, and fairly close to W/Worths for basic shopping.
Arriving to a warm house was very welcoming and greatly appreciated. We are happy to recommend staying there. The size of the bed in the main downstairs bedroom could have been bigger!
- Ross (9/5): Superb -
- Hayley (8/5): Would recommend for a family or two couples, could accommodate 6 people comfortably. - Lovely house, very homely cottage, perfect for a family. Loved the fire. Good walking distance into Hobart, nice coffee shop at end of street. Really nicely done out.
- Tracy (10/5): It was relaxing when we arrived and the house was warm . - The location
Great for couples
Families with lots of kids (teenagers ) Nothing
- Guy (9/5): An enjoyable stay and will have to return to check out some of the cafes we didn't get to. - Surprisingly, it was a good central location for our trips around Hobart and beyond with an easy exit and entry point to the main highway nearby. Also It was far enough away from the main roads so we didn't notice any traffic noise. A large number of restaurants and cafes in north Hobart which cater for everyone's tastes. Some more information eg. a folder with recommended local attractions, restaurants and cafes would of been nice.
- Hannah (10/5): Wonderful warm cottage in North Hobart - Exactly as described and photographed but better - warm, super clean, and with every amenity you need. Super close to everything we needed and a short drive to major attractions. Nothing

- Steve (8/5): Very good -
- Ruth (9/5): Superb - spacious, great location and well equipped
- John (9/5): Great property with everything thought about. - Good location, nice home which had everything for self catering and comfort. The downstair bathroom/toilet was spartan and a long way from the bedrooms.

- Mandy (10/5): Perfect! - Good location. Nostalgic atmosphere. Cozy. Perfect. couldn’t find a colander to wash the strawberries lol
- Krysti (9/5): Great place and very comfortable - No breakfast provided The dishwasher was not working
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional - Loved everything about this property actually didn't want to leave
- Colleen (10/5): we would definitely recommend this accomodation, fantastic restaurants in walking distance and although we thought the d - Location, size and well equipped. Still a distance if walking to the city/harbour area daily ,which is why we chose the property but we managed
- Susan (10/5): Charming period cottage - Lockbox was a bit tricky to open/close. We did come across other lockboxes during our holiday that were easier. Gas log heater in the front living area was difficult to use. Was temperamental each time we used it. Perhaps a service required?
