Would highly recommend for location cleanliness and a lovel - We had a lovely welcome from our host and some great recommendations for things to do in Kanazawa. We had the biggest room, a lovely Japanese style room with plenty of space for our family of 3, clean and comfortable. The shared kitchen space was pleasant and our host even shared some special drip coffee with us and put up with our bad Japanese while we asked for tips about local culture. Location is excellent only a 5 minute walk from the station and close to many great eateries and coffee shops. We loved everything.

• Sebastian (10/5): Top Unterkunft in spitzen Lage zu einem unschlagbaren Preis - Makoto ist eine super nette, freundliche und offene Person mit der man sich unterhalten kann um Tipps und Anregungen für seinen Aufenthalt in Kanazawa zu bekommen. Lage ist Top ca. 5-10min zu Fuß von Kanazawa Station, Innenstadt und Sehenswürdigkeiten sind auch alle in ruhigem Tempo gut erreichbar. Kanazawa an sich ist entspannt in 2-3 Tagen zu erkunden mit einem extra Tag kann man auch Shirakawa-Go sehen. Es gibt Regeln, die sollten aber für jeden halbwegs zivilisierten völlig selbstverständlich sein.

• Yuusuke (8/5): 大変リーズナブル！ - 雨の中で到着したのですが非常にご配慮いただき気持ちよく滞在することができました。 今回は時間の関係で使えませんでしたがダイニングとキッチンも共有で使うこともでき満足のいく宿泊が出来ました。　そして宿泊料金が安いというのが最大のメリットでしょうか。　周辺の民泊も利用したことはありますが非常に狭く居心地が悪かったですが、こちらは寝泊まりするだけなら全く問題ない広さかと思います。 良くなかった点はあまり思いつきませんが、しいてあげると近江町市場まで徒歩10分ぐらいあることぐらいでしょうか。 実際は散歩ついでという感じで苦にはならない距離かと思います。　金沢駅も徒歩圏内なので両方へ行くなら逆に良い場所になるかと思います。

Хозяин помагает разобраться с техникой и объясняет как пользоваться всем, что вы видите. Разрешил оставить чемоданы после выселения. I slept upstairs in the huge family room and chose the futon to sleep on. So comfortable! The host, Makoto-san was very kind and helpful, explained everything very well about the house and my stay. I would happily stay here again. -

• Serafyma (7/5): Nice place in a good location, but wifi is weak - Location is great – it’s 10 min walk to the city centre and to the railway station and there are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The host, Makoto-san, is a really attentive to details and cleanliness of the house – so everything is very tidy. Wi-fi is good only on the first floor in the living room, which is a shared place where you can be only till 22:30. Bathrooms and toilet are all also shared and on the first floor. On kitchen you don’t have access to the oven. And you’ll need to carry all your suitcases up the stairs to the sleeping rooms.

• Maria (10/5): - Experiència de 10!! La nostra estada ha estat molt curta però ens hem sentit com a casa! L’habitació era perfecta i el senyor Makoto ha sigut molt amable i atent en tot moment.

• Daniel (7/5): Bien, para una noche - La atención del dueño fue excelente, fue muy amable y muy flexible con la entrada y custodia de equipaje. Las instalaciones son bonitas y cuidadas. Sientes que estás en una verdadera casa japonesa. Hay zona común para comer y calentar bien ordenada. Los baños y duchas están limpios y eso se agradece. Los futones son MUY duros, he dormido en otros futones por Japón y estos nos destrozaron la espalda. Nuestra habitación por suerte tenía colchón normal y subimos los futones en la cama para poder dormir (en mitad de la noche). Si tu habitación está en el piso de arriba, hay que bajar unas estrechas escaleras para bajar al baño/ducha. Si te levantas por la noche puedes hacerte daño si vas un poco dormido. Solo hay un baño para hombres y otro para mujeres, si te toca otro cliente con ciertos problemas digestivos (como nos pasó a nosotros) no vas a poder usar el baño y cuando puedas entrar vas a querer irte del mal olor.

There are several restaurants with good options on the street above the guesthouse, as well as the shopping mall next to Kanazawa Station. Mr. Makoto is very polite and always willing to help. The house is extremely clean and organized, which is very important. The room has air conditioning, which is very helpful in the heat. I recommend it to anyone looking for good accommodation on a budget. There is nothing that has displeased me

It's a short walk from the station and all the important spots are within walking distance. Found this place and was curious about the host which so many reviews talk about.  Makoto san hosts guest in this house for 16 years now. His japanese respectful distant etiquette can make room for warm extensive travel talks.  The house is orderly clean and it feels like you're visiting a friend's home where you can meet other travelers. If that's what you're looking for you found the place! I'll stay again if ever back to Kanazawa. All the best for you Makoto san!

• Jilles (10/5): Lovely guesthouse with a wonderful host - This lovely guesthouse is run by a really kind owner, Makoto, a traveler by heart. He is a wonderful host. When I arrived, he instantly gave me an introduction to his city. I also gave him recommendations about my city, Amsterdam :) The guesthouse has all the amenities needed for a good stay, the Japanese style room is nice, the communal place is also pleasant. Near Kanazawa Station and a 20 minute walk to the beautiful old neighborhood of Higashiyama. Great value, make sure to book a room at this nice guesthouse and meet wonderful Makoto.

We got stuck due to the heavy snowfall, and couldn't give the estimated arrival time, but Makoto-san kindly wait untill we safely arrived, even when it's past the check in time. He also offered to exchange our room with one downstairs closer to the bathroom (which I greatly appreciated). The room size is also bigger than the average hotel room in Japan.

• Vineet (7/5): Decent stay, not the best for price but it was fine for me - Friendly staff, all the facilities that you would expect from a hostel, great location (can be walked from the station). Bathroom is shared, but there is western style and Japanese style. A common area with nice books and a kitchen. Washing machines that are pay and use, towels provided by the hostel. Price was a little on the higher end, considering its more of a hostel. Also walls are thin, not only hearing the neighbouring room but also the street (but luckily its on a quiet street).

• Scarlett (9/5): Super nice place! - Super friendly and nice host. Gave me lots of nice recommendations too. It was so convenient to walk to the guesthouse from the train station. It’s located on a calmer street so during nighttime there’s not much noise. I stayed in both in a western style room and a traditional one. The first one less spacious but bed was a bit softer. The traditional one had plenty space for luggage and a futon to sleep on. Both were nice and would love to stay again in the future.

• Neza (9/5): The guesthouse is actually the owner's home where a few rooms are rented to the travellers. Since a bedroom with a c - The guesthouse is very well-located, 10 min from the train station. The owner is very nice. The room and the facilities are clean. The room had an AC unit which we were able to use to warm up the room. It's a very good value for money. The facilities are shared. There aren't many rooms in the guesthouse so both the toilet and the bathroom were kept clean and we never had to wait for either. At the end, this wasn't really a problem for us.
