- Paul (10/5): Great spot - Out of the city, a beautiful family run business ❤️ I liked it all.

- Evi (7/5): - Ein nettes Hotel. Liebe Leute.
- Anyawee (10/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): Toller Ort mit freundlichen Menschen! - Jede einzelne Person, die die Gäste betreut. Sie sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! -

- Sunee (7/5): Good location I like but maybe it's old and not really clean - Good location and good decorate but not really clean Not really clean
- Prakasit (9/5): -
- Norton (2/5): - We booked a balcony with a view of the river. When we got there.it was booked out we where given a room out the back all you could see was rusty roofs.the shower pipe leaked and sprayed all over you when it was turned on. Where the fan was you could fit your hand throw the side of it. Bathroom needs plenty of renovations. Noises under bed all night.
- Nicholas (9/5): Fantastic little place to stay - Good location just outside town , lovely view across the river
- Guy (8/5): -
- Lextreyt (10/5): - Un accueil exceptionnel.
- Jedidiah (10/5): -
- Tanapat (9/5): -
- Jerry (4/5): Good if nothing else is available. - Big shower, good temperature and water pressure. Big bed. Bath not connected to room, old sofa, doors to bath balcony need work. A little pricy compared to other hotels.
- Greg (9/5): Ambience is the best in Nongkhai. - For ambience there is no comparison in Nong Khai. I've stayed in the city many times because I lived across the river. The family are very kind and accommodating. The river view roons are the best ones for the full experience. The bathroom and shower area next to the balcony was cozy. I was able to do some work out in the garden at the tables with a view of the hotel and the river. Nice. The owners were super helpful. I will stay here again for sure. Warning, the English level here is elementary. I communicated in Lao and they were fine. They know their business so don't worry. They had limited drinks and no food on site and there wasn't much nearby apart from the rooftop restaurant a few meters down. That was good for a late night drink or sunset dinner. Hard to get a tuk tuk or taxi without calling. They have one motorbike for rental.
- Guy (9/5): Booked a night, stayed an extra day. Will come back - These guys have done awesome things with their little yard, lots of nice little spots, and a pool. View of the river from 2 upstairs rooms. Cozy rooms with private balcony overlooking the pool and garden. Great hosts, great value A little out of the busy spots if you don’t have transport
- Ivor (8/5): Small hotel near nong khai. - Quiet location over looking mekong river.
Staff very friendly. About 2 miles from centre of town. Few other facilities nearby. With a car ok. Without a car, there would be a lot of walking and taxis. Place was really a good guest house, rather than a hotel. Great if you like a guest house, but we would have preferred the facilities of a hotel. In retrospect, I should have studied the description in booking.com more throughly.
- Ozziebrett (9/5): Feels like a home away from home. - Our hostess "Elle" was super friendly and made us feel welcome in her home. Breakfast was basic but nice sitting out the back overlooking the Mekong. Approx 3km from Tha Sadet Market and the majority of restaurants. We hired bikes which made the trip a lot quicker rather than a long hot walk.
- Tatham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lara (7/5): Relaxing view over the Mekong River - If you are looking for luxury this is not your place. However if you are looking for a quiet, comfortable and welcoming accommodation this is a good option. Pictures on Booking are slightly different from reality (some good photoshop work here) but if you read past reviews you can get an idea and set your expectations accordingly. This is why we were not disappointed when we checked in. True, the garden and the common spaces are a little messy. Also the swimming pool was not clean and could not be used. Nevertheless the room was spacious and clean. Bed was hard and comfortable. The chairs on the balcony were comfortable and we enjoyed spending our time on the balcony looking at the Mekon (partial view). The family running the business was very attentive and helpful by providing information and helping us to get bus tickets to Chiang Mai. Do not expect a huge breakfast. However Nescafè, some soft bread with jam and little fruit will be provided. The guesthouse is 2km away from the center of the city but it is a nice walk along the Mekong River. A couple of restaurants along the river can be found approx 5-10min walk from the guesthouse. Highly recommended the excursion to Phu Prabat. Talk to the host and he can take you there for a reasonable price Plugs are loose so you have to play a lot with chargers to get them to work. If you walk back be aware of the dogs just before the guesthouse (if you are coming from the center). They are a bit aggressive and may try to bite if you don't move away fast from their territory
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (5/5): Passable -
- Daniel (2/5): I stayed one day out of the six day stay. It was very disappointing. - Liked only the pictures on booking.com. Was not at all all like the pictures. This property was terrible. So many problems with this hotel. Air conditioning leaked a lot on the couch and the floor. The toilet had mold on it. The room was not painted completely. The footing around the property was very unstable. The maintenance on the property was very bad at the price of their charging to stay there you would think it would be A nice place to stay. The pool had way too much chemicals in it. The lobby was their kids playground. I was very disappointed. I stayed one night out of six nights. I checked out early because it was just not a good place to stay. I’ve stayed in a lot of different places in Thailand and this is by far the worst. I’ve never ever made a complaint about a property. I’m still trying to get refunded for five days that I had booked. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.
- Daniel (3/5): Was not good experience. Pictures on web site are very misleading. - I liked nothing about this property Dirty Air con leaked all over floor and couch. Room was not clean and needs painted. The grounds are very dangerous for walking. Uneven stairs.
- Thorsten (4/5): Disappointing - Pool is green and dirty..rooms need to be renovated asap
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clive (4/5): Disappointing - Friendly staff Bathroom was below any good standards
- William (2/5): Don’t stay here - Terrible breakfast overpriced you have to walk across the patio to the bathroom narrow stairs to the room
- Laurie (7/5): Our experience - Very good budget hotel for the price. Right on the river with a nice deep pool. Owners were very nice and accommodating but spoke little to no English. The bed was very hard! The hotel is a bit of a walk to restaurants and other amenities. The hotel could use some updating but for the $ all good.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional place to rest and Enjoy the Mekong. - They pay attention to your every need and are happy to make you happy!
- David (10/5): Beautiful location, superb hosts. Highly recommended - Brilliant family run boutique accommodation. Always helpful. Second visit. Happy to visit again and reciting others. Cold water!
- Gordon (8/5): A Place to 'Chill' - A great place just by the Mekong. Very quiet & had a good local vibe about it.
The Family were very friendly. The only issue was it's location about 3km away from the Town & Tourist area.
- Samuel (3/5): Poor - It may of been a nice boutique hotel about 10 years ago when it was built but it's old and tired now
- Grant (8/5): Great location overlooking to river - A great location overlooking the river It’s a little far from the town centre, difficult to get a Grab vehicle at 8pm although many motorcycles available
- Michael (8/5): Great place to stay in Nong Khai - Small family run hotel & they go out their way to make you feel welcome & nothing is a problem.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Homely and pleasant experience No water in pool
- Murray (7/5): Good -
- Excursionist (2/5): Very poor - Leaving The breakfast was the worst I've had in 20 years of travel in Thailand. I feel it's so unnecessary in a country with such beautiful fruit and food to not be able to provide a simple yet nutritious breakfast ..After an hour of waiting for breakfast at the time specified by host, we ordered grab!. The bathroom was filthy, such as taking a shower require d a courageous mindset..Pool was green and a potential health risk. There is so much better value elsewhere in a better location. The host was not open to resolving our concerns with us.
- RICHARD (8/5): - I have stayed here many times now and am always happy, safe, and comfortable here. Breakfast is good and the lady working there in the morning is very accommodating to requests. Front desk personnel are also outstanding. Location very good and one street away from activity so much quieter than other nearby hotels. It's not a 5-star hotel so have reasonable expectations. Very good value for the money. Highly recommend.
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (6/5): the people running the hotel are the most courteous we have come across in all our travels it was just so unfortunate th - it’s location and the staff who were wonderful people well the photos don’t actually match the reality - the pool was totally unusable and if we were told that we would have stayed somewhere else but to their credit we were there in the wrong season.
- Markus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vanchart (5/5): Passable -
- Shane (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent customer service.
- Dave (7/5): Nice, friendly guest house very tranquil and ideal for a short stay. - Convenient location for Nong Khai Shower water was only luke warm
- Tore (4/5): If this property was tidied up, and if the breakfast was served hot, it could be an excellent hotel - Very Nice Location on The riverside. Staff was Very friendly and helpfully. The standard rooms where Nice with balcony. The suites has no balcony and is not recommended. The property was very untidy, and rubbish everywhere.
- Barry (7/5): Good - Location on the river. Swimming pool although I didn't use it. No coffee making facilities was a bit of a let down although they had a coffee shop it wasn't open when you wanted one.
- John (8/5): A very enjoyable experience: Mekong view, family-run exnterprise, intimate and authentic. Small pool - Well-run property by lovely family. Excellent location, just metres from the Mekong riverfront walkway.
- Robin (10/5): friendly, clean hotel with a lovely view over the river. - the Owners were fantastic. Nice, helpful, friendly.
The pool was a great addition to the hotel, that we really appreciated.
we both hope to visit you again next year!
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samsung1 (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was amazing helped all they could from early check out was an amazing couple Everywas beautiful
- Roland (10/5): Highly recommended accommodation in Nong Khai. - Extremely cozy accommodation on the banks of the Mekong.
It is not an ordinary hostel, the design and the whole atmosphere are very familiar. The owner and his wife were also extremely helpful. -
- Kokiat (8/5): Very good -
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wolfgang (9/5): Superb -
- Roy (10/5): Great location on Mekong River - The map gives a location to the right of the main road in from Udon Thani, when it is to the left.
Overall I loved this hotel, it was like having a little private villa on the river. The staff were very nice and help make the stay. We initially booked one day. But extended our stay because it was just so enjoyable.
