- Renate (7/5): Excellent location close to all cafes and restaurants and only a short walk to the port. - The location was fantastic as we were able to walk everywhere and only used the car once during our four day stay. Beds were comfortable and the use of the kitchen was appreciated for making breakfast. The only downside was that there was no hand towel or bath mat supplied in our room. I had to access the laundry room downstairs to collect them myself.

- samantha (1/5): Ladies nightmare! - Sadly our stay was ruined when management thought it was a good idea to send a male staff to let himself into our room at 9.40am on our first relaxing morning to update the compendium. Hubby was showering and wifey was in bed. Anyone would agree that a process should be in place to ensure no woman should ever find herself in this situation where a man is determined to enter the private space. Their own policy is noone will enter unless we request daily service yet they thought this excuse was ok?? Management apologised but no compensation offered to make good the spoilt trip. I will be afraid this could happen again now, extremely unfortunate. Floor is not secure and building does not operate as you describe, suggest spending the night, or day when hairdressing salon is open to find out which doors are left unsecured. Receiving wrong info about the security of our floor back from management made it more upsetting. Please consider a refund of 1 night to make good. To Guests: good idea to keep the room key in the lock while inside

There was a very strong unpleasant chemical smell on arrival that persisted throughout our stay. The WiFi didn’t work ( staff did attempt to fix it) For the money I thought the apartment was generally rather shabby. It would also be good if you could exit the car park without having a remote- surely not safe in an emergency if you were not with the resident who had the remote.

- Chase (8/5): Great value, huge room and central location. - This is in a lovely old building and the rooms are huge. The bed was comfortable and it was all very clean. Everything is close and we got a discount at the two pubs nearby. Overall a great stay and good value. It is all a little tired but that is reflected in the price. There is no lift, which was not a problem for us but may be a problem for some.
- Kazclarke (7/5): Great size but disappointing - The bed was sooooo comfy and large. The apartment was a sensational size. Great lounge area to recline in The living area TV wouldn't stay on. It would turn off after 5 seco nd's, volume would increase on its own and station would change! We tried everything so eventually we contacted the Manager who advised she had no one who could attend ( I'm guessing as it was a Friday arvo) but told us to re- tune it. We had.. ..x 3! I also advised the tv had been wiped down with a dirty cloth ( extremely visible in sunlight) and there was no hand wash in the bathroom dispenser. Crickets from the Manager! Also be aware of the flooring, as its historical, the floor boards in kitchen area are soft in places. We paid good money for our stay and I did expect more.

No elevator but that is to be expected for a heritage property. No staff around t assist you but phone number was provided.

Location was good. One of the bedrooms was not air conditioned and so was very hot for sleeping. The remote in one of the lounges was not working. There was no table for meals - only a bench top with uncomfortable stools. No selection of teas. No face washers provided. Toilet paper and tissues were very thin.

Air con in main living area. Beds and couches were comfortable. Nice view from 1st floor. Entry to property was via carpark, through electric gate, another gate, locked side door, then through a shared walk space with the hairdresser, up 2 flights up stairs. Was fine just a little odd. The building itself is heritage - lovely, albeit could use some updating inside the rooms, mainly the floorboards look worn out. There was a big fan in the bedroom but still got a bit warm during summer, had to sleep with door open so aircon could flow through a bit. For the price to stay at a busy time of year was good.

We only stayed one night and sadly didn’t see the beautiful kitchen and hall until we were leaving. The overhead lights were not working, though they compensated with a sufficient amount of lamps. There wasn’t enough light to apply make up though.

- CHRISTINE (8/5): - Great shower products great proximity to main area. Walking distance to riverfront. Could feel srings in bed. No tea and coffee or milk i n tea caddy in room had not been restocked.
- Mark (7/5): Good place - Nice facilities Lighting outside was very poor My wife tripped over a concrete step that she could not see as it was extremely dark.. The outside sensor light was not working .
- Sharon (7/5): Historical but tired. - Loved that it is an old post office. Looking tired and needs an update. Also kitchen had no supply of tea or coffee.
- Geoff (9/5): Great place to stay. Would stay there again. - The location was excellent. It was a lovely place to stay and a wonderful period building. It was clean and all the staff were terrific. This place is just one step from a 10/10 which it could be, with just a couple of things. The ensuite lights didn’t work. Luckily we could move the floor lamp in there. We only had one spare towel for a 3 day stay. There were no tissues in the room. Curtains didn’t close properly. We easily dealt with these small things and everything else was exceptional.
