Guest Reviews
- john (8/5): No complaints - Location, privacy, host, cosiness.
Massive and varied breakfast offer, they even bought a whole gluten free loaf for me ! A tad dated
- William (10/5): Super stay in Sandwich - Lovely house with a comfortable annex. The breakfast table was straining under the weight of the cereals , conserves etc
The host was very friendly. I would certanily visit here again Nothing it was perfect
- Ann (10/5): Heel gemakkelijke ligging , je kan.al wandelend Sandwich bezoeken - Het ontbijt was heel lekker en verzorgd
- Christopher (10/5): a perfect place to stay in Sandwich!! - The staff, owners, were wonderful!! great communication and had good recommendations. The breakfast was delicious, lots of choices...Thank you to Kelvin and Marisol. Will definitely recommend and stay again. t

- Irene (5/5): Disappointing stay - Central location for the town. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice for all tastes. Emma (the daughter) was very pleasant and helpful. Regrettably the room was cramped for 2 people. We chose the garden room due to mobility issues but there was only one comfy chair. Several drawers contained various miscellaneous items which if staying longer would have posed storage problems. Bad mismatch of hangers. Dirty and unhygienic bathroom cupboard and rusty towel rail. Noisy bathroom door due to requiring the bottom needing to be planed. Mattress needs replacing as do the pillows; the latter also require pillow protectors. Parking is difficult and as the host unavailable (he was on holiday) had to pay £11+ in the car park, as I was not able to obtain the resident' pass which I'd been promised. A sensor light outside needed for safety in the dark
- Phoebe (8/5): -
- Johann (9/5): - Like family ! Couldn't be better !
- Jessica (10/5): Lovely stay at St. Peter's B&B in Sandwich - Such a warm greeting when I arrived which made me feel at home and some helpful recommendations of places to visit.
The breakfast was perfect and very filling. Nothing, really. I stayed in the back behind the garden which was secluded and quiet.
It was a little hard to get in later in the evening without a light near the door but no major problem.
- Julie (8/5): - Perfect location for us, meeting family members for a meal in town. Excellent breakfast - generous and hot! Very helpful and attentive service from Marisa and Kelvin. One room (the flat) had rather tired bathroom fittings, and the mirror was very splashed.

- Karen (10/5): Lovely One Night Stay - Central but quiet location. No one else was staying at the property on the night we were there so we got upgraded. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
- Oliver (10/5): Awesome stay - Stayed on a Friday night as we were at a family do. Perfect for us. Had the twin. Both beds comfortable - one softer than the other. Had everything we needed. There's limited on site parking but wasn't an issue for us as road restrictions finish early evening and there's no restrictions on the Sunday. The owner was attentive and helpful. Information sheet was perfect.
The breakfast was excellent!
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (10/5): Fabulous stay, can’t go wrong . - Excellent breakfast. My partner even had a special request made for him. Could not fault it . Kelvin and Marisol goes way and beyond to make your stay an enjoyable experience . Will definitely return. Nothing
- Barton (9/5): Enjoyed our stay and would book again - Great choice for breakfast. Fruit, yoghurts, cereals, fried breakfast, toast. Tea coffee and fruit juices. Perhaps a bit more insulation to block noise from guests staying above the stable room. Sleep was disturbed by noise from room above.
- Andrew (10/5): - Very clean and delightful host.

- James (10/5): Sandwich is a gem - a perfect spot for a short break - Fabulous central location
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Really relaxing stay, comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast. Great location at the heart of the village.
- Karen (8/5): Very good - Excellent location, right in the centre of town. Everywhere easily accessible due to the alleys. No car parking so had to pay for car park for the weekend, costing £22. Hosts very helpful with ideas for walks. Breakfast excellent.
- Katherine (10/5): Excellent value for money and excellent hosts! - Booked here very last minute with my husband for New Year’s Eve and luckily we managed to get a room. Kelvin welcomed us with open arms (not literally) and a lovely cup of tea, which was very kind considering there is tea/coffee facilities in the room. Kelvin and Marisol were excellent hosts. Friendly and very accommodating/helpful throughout our stay. Their lovely furry friend Marley too was a delight.
The ensuite we had was lovely and big and room perfect size for a short getaway. The house itself was very old and the decor was very well suited.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious with more than enough on offer.
We hope to return! Nothing, absolutely worth every penny
- Christopher (8/5): We were pleased to find vacancies here at relatively short notice over the Christmas break. - This is a most interesting house in an historic town. We had engaging conversation with our host, over personal and wide-ranging topics. Breakfast was very acceptable. Perfect range of pubs within a few minutes' walk, some of them even open on Boxing Day! Replacing a couple of the light bulbs in the bedroom with LED ones would have made it easier to sit and read, especially for people like me who neglected to bring their proper reading glasses with them!
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely house in very pretty and central location behind the Church. Marisol was so welcoming. Sandwich has lots of independent shops and nice cafes, pubs and restaurants. Planning to visit again soon
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good - Lovely stay here and our hosts did everything to make us feel welcome. My mum is unsteady on her feet, and when asked, they were so kind to offer an alternative room where she felt more comfortable on the ground floor.
- Legg (10/5): Brilliant, such a lovely B&B - Fabulous location, beautiful little town. Our mattress was a little hard.
- Deborah (10/5): Great accommodation, friendly hosts in a lovely town - Accommodation was perfect, had all amenities, clean, comfortable bed
Great breakfasts, hosts helpful and very sociable More info on parking prior to arriving
- John (9/5): Central hotel close to town centre but in quiet street. Friendly staff. - The property was very central and we found some parking nearby. Requested early breakfast which they were happy to do and the breakfast was really good
- Lilian (10/5): It was a highlight 2 ni ghts for us and our travels - Great place, great location, wonderful hosts
- Stephen (9/5): Warm, friendly and informative hosts. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. All in all a very relaxing stay in a - Excellent location for the centre of the town yet very quiet…. Comfortable and well facilitated room. Nothing
- Iain (8/5): Very good - Lovely centrally located property, access is a little tricky due to the traffic setup/routing of Sandwich but great especially if you don’t have a car
- Neil (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): Superb - Peaceful spot, good breakfast It's an old place with not perfectly horizontal floors. You get used to it
- Rosie (3/5): Dog poo on the floor! - Lovely breakfast and the B&B was cosy, if a little dated
We were able to use the room briefly before the check in time to change clothes for a wedding we were attending. The room wasn’t ready but this was much appreciated as we wouldn’t be back until late. The owners dog did a poo on the floor of our room, when I mentioned this the next day they apologised and said that it’s a new dog that was a stray in Mexico and has done this three times previously!! The dog also barked at me in the corridor at 6am (the toilet for the room was down a communal corridor)
Why do they let a dog that is known to poo in bedrooms upstairs or near guests?!? They need to get a stair gate until the dog is fully trained.
Unfortunately the owners did not offer a refund or discount or anything to make amends, they shrugged their shoulders and explained it was happening regularly. I was appalled and shocked at both the incident and the owner's reaction to it.
- Martin (7/5): great location for an overnight stay. Breakfast good and hospitality and service at Breakfast good. - breakfast was lovely and the property had a superb location decor in the room we stayed in was a little tired, bed was ok, although dipped in the middle a bit.
- Roger (7/5): Very helpful and friendly hosts - Quality and quantity of breakfast. Friendliness and helpfulness of the hosts. The bifold door to the en suite was stiff and hard to operate. The extractor fan could be heard upstairs in the cottage. The extractor fan was very noisy in the cottage. The parking was extremely restricted suggest let Kelvin do all the parking.
- Harriet (9/5): Superb -
- Pb-work (8/5): Very authentic, comfortable with a warm and friendly welcome. - Ideally placed with lots of character and charm Nothing
- Simon (10/5): Very welcoming and comfortable - Kelvin, Marisol and Emma were welcoming and friendly. We chatted about all sorts and found we had some common areas of interest. Lovely to meet their rescue dog Marley - what a character! My room was comfortable and well stocked with teas and coffees. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice. There's nothing I disliked about my stay. The town of Sandwich is wonderful. I come from Broadstairs nearby so am familiar with the town but it's nice to walk around the place appreciating the architecture and charity shops.

- David (10/5): Outstanding and generous hosts - Kelvin and Marisol were really lovely, and treated us like part of the family. I was there with my two kids and they felt really welcomed and at home. My daughter is a vegetarian and they made her a veggie version of the English breakfast with very tasty veg sausage and asparagus! Meat breakfast was very tasty too! We’ll be back! Would have loved to have had some extra days to spare!
