- simon (6/5): Only ok and no evening food - It has no restuarant or bar meals and nearest pub/eatery is miles away. Rooms are clean and recently painted but otherwise tired. Plumbing is a bit suspect.
- Gareth (4/5): - No receptionist. Overbearing landlord eventually appeared and gave me an unwanted lecture on the “best way” to make reservations. Had to wait over 30 mins. to check out because he’d “popped not town”. Had a job rousing him at 5 am when fire alarms went off.It was a false alarm blamed on spiders...happens “all the time” he said!
- Paul (10/5): Weekend Break - We stayed at home farm for a weekend break and were really pleased we did. The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. Richard and his team are friendly attentive and strive to make sure you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay... as for the Thai food, you really need to try it. It is amongst the best I have ever eaten. We will definitely stay here again!

The owners are so lovely and genuine, the food was gorgeous, the rooms are clean and spacious and the view was amazing. I couldn’t recommended it enough! The owner was so helpful. We arrived early and he helped us check in early. The breakfast was quick and hot. I would pre-book for an evening meal, as it was fully booked when we tried to book. 10/10, would stay again. Thank you again!

Home Farm is very well presented inside a lovely old building, our room was really comfortable, facilities were good and breakfast was lovely. We didn’t try the restaurant for dinner during our stay, but we did make the most of the bar! Highly recommend a stay. Ideally located for a stop off if you’re heading down to Cornwall.

The restaurant, in particular, their Thai dishes, were of a very high standard, freshly prepared and delicious, with very generous portions.

- Richard (8/5): SUPERB THAI FOOD !! - Master chef style:-) - On arrival the scenery surrounding this hotel was a real gem, luckily my large van had plenty of space as you drive up a step hill. On check in - I was greeted by 'Richard' the hotel manager who checked me to my room in fast manner and kindly helped me to grab a swift cold beer and arranged for my evening meal. The evening meal was a real gem, THAI food!... and amazing. I have not eaten much THAI food on the past and now I am hooked!! I may even visit Thailand:-) If in Devon again for work and close to Exeter, I will book again! and also try more of the THAI dishes. Recommend!

I didn’t expect the food to be anything special, as so often places now a days get away with average. But the food was stunning! Authentic Thai food in the evening and perfect English breakfast in the morning. We would definitely go back if in the area and would have no hesitation recommending to anyone. Well Done!

- Siobhan (10/5): Perfect pre lockdown break - I have just returned from a trip with my 9 year old son. We both loved the hotel and in particular our lovely room. The food was amazing, my son is a fussy eater but there was no way I wasn’t trying the Thai evening meals and so glad that we did as it was delicious and perfectly cooked. My only suggestion of possible would be to have a couple of child options, we didn’t ask so it’s possible that they do have. Breakfast was perfection; was freshly cooked and a quick service. Richard and his wife are lovely hosts. Richards honestly could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Richard is really helpful and ensured that we made the best of our time there. Hoping to come back in the spring and enjoy more of Devon and Dorset as we only scratched the surface.

Unique dining experience, a drink in the bar while going through the menu with Richard, who advised on the extensive choices of Thai food. Ten called to the dining room when it was ready, cooked by his lovely wife Nat with all fresh ingredients. I ordered my favourites but they have never tasted this good before.
- BH (10/5): - This is a cozy and wonderful place to stay. We had a fantastic weekend at Home Farm, which is within easy cab distance of The River Cottage and Lyme Regis. The rooms are lovely and the food is excellent. We would like to say an enormous personal thank you to Richard, who is so friendly and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He is an exceptional host and helped us so much during our time there. Highly recommended.

- KP (4/5): - We stayed there for 5 nights from 5 - 10 Sept 20 and the hotel provided us same used old dirty towels on 5, 6 & 7 Sept 20. Hardly any staff to work for them... We were there for our holidays and to do outdoor activities. We put wet/dirty towels on the toilet floor to clean but same dirty/wet towels were in the room for us to use again! These were taken from the toilet floor. We were really SURPRISED because this was the first time something like this happened to us. We never expected this from a UK hotel… We even travelled to third world country and stayed in hotels in very poor countries, but we have never come across a hotel this THIRD CLASS...It was too late to complaint to Richard therefore next day, we left the same dirty towels on the toilet floor COVERED FROM THE TOILET FLOOR MAT for them to take them away for cleaning and to give us new towels. Due to this issue, we came back to the hotel early and noticed again, they taken the towels from the toilet floor which were covered from the toilet mat and put all these back for us to use again!!! Richard said we should at least use these towels for over 3 days regardless of its condition or even it was on the toilet floor. He mentioned this was his instructions to cleaner. Richard has NOT TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION CUSTOMERS HEALTH AND SAFETY SERIOUSLY. THIS IS BECAUSE THESE DIRTY AND WET TOWELS MAY CONTAIN HARMFUL GERMS SUCH AS BACTERIA, VIRUSES, FUNGI, PROTOZOA, ETC. NOT GOOD AT ALL. STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL...

- Dr Alex (10/5): Very happy with this. - Propietor was very friendly and helpful. Building was impressive and room had all the modern luxuries. Restaurant Menu is limited English but mainly Thai. So depends on your preferences, but if you like Thai food then this was Very good, and I was born in Singapore so sort of used to this food. Happy to recommend this hotel and would happily stay their again.

Due to COVID situation they were slightly down on staff meaning Richard was run a bit ragged! Breakfast was great. Room was good size and clean. Only slight down side was noise and smell from kitchen extractor due to our room location and only during cooking times.
- Martin (10/5): Unbelievable lucky find.... - Came across Home Farm by chance while looking for accommodation in Honiton, and have to say Im glad we did. The accommodation is very good, clean and comfortable, but the Thai restaurant food is unbelievable, four of us ate there and everyone commented about the excellent quality and quantity of the food. Freshly prepared by the owners the food is truly excellent. We will all definitely be returning soon..
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hmmm - The room was like a Harry Potter broom cupboard and so small. Window was tiny so during a heatwave unable to get any air at all. Waited an hour and a half for food Sold on the site as a driveway and off the main road...it was very much on the main road

I had to cancel on the arrival day as they were called away to another part of the country. I will endeavour to have them stay on another date, I am sure it is charming.

- Mark (10/5): Great, Personal service. - En-route back from West Country, seemed the best pick of the bunch for hotels for a lonely Sales Rep., looking for somewhere close to A303 for an overnight stay. Extremely warm welcome, maybe worryingly so, overly friendly, but, lovely room (Junior Suite). All seemed very average, but having booked dinner for 7pm and invited to the bar for 6.30 for a “menu rundown”, everything changed. Richard was a great host. The menu is 95% Thai, so he was happy to guide guests (some from USA) to their ideal fodder. Clearly they are very proud of their food, and why? Because it is ridiculously good. Having fallen out of love with Thai food after some bland restaurants, this was a revalation. Flavours, aromas, tastebuds wondering what happened. If you want and 8/10 B&B, sure this place can offer that, but it’s secret is the food, and the passion they have for great dining. Richard helps guide the uninitiated through the menu to find your ideal meal, tailoring how much humph you want From an initial “is this Fawlty Towers”? to WOW, all the reviews make sense, welcoming, lovely people. My new favourite stopover.
