Guest Reviews
- James (10/5): -
- Beth (1/5): - it was close to where I needed to be Check in took over 15 minutes, even after prechecking in on the website. clerk couldn't find my reservation or confirmation number. seems they had an update in software and didn't know how to use it. Later found out the television didn't work and after spending 10 minutes trying to call the front desk, walked down there to report it. Never got it to work, the man at the front desk could't get it to work and stated it wasn't his fault. Hot tub was advertised, but closed off. Overall dissapointing stay
- Alnora (5/5): -
- ashleymC5315MI (6/5): Giving it one more shot - Check in was not great but the room and accommodations were good especially for the price of the room. Location is awesome and it isn't noisy at all!
- Kameron (6/5): - Close to food and restaurants The tv volume didn’t work. when I let the from desk know, they didn’t have an answer or a solution for it. Asked to get switched to a different room.. that’s didn’t happen.
The hot tub could use a remodel and the jets didn’t work.
- Corrine (9/5): - Convenient for me. Very clean.
- Jessica (1/5): -
- Travel58488125367 (2/5): Terrible stay - The front desk was poorly staffed, Keys didn't work questions went unanswered. I really wouldn't recommend this hotel if you actually wanna be able to use the room you pay for.
- Steve (9/5): Bed was excellent. Service is very good. - Very good service. I requested an extra blanket and it was promptly provided. And the staff provided help with using the tv.
- Old Wisconsin (7/5): -
- William (7/5): Decent short term. - Close to a variety of eating establishments. Very outdated. Room very dark, hot tub down. Pool area being used as storage/boxes stacked everywhere.
It was the same limited food for breakfast.
- Sarah (3/5): I will not stay here again. I was very uncomfortable with how dirty it was. - I thought the breakfast was good. There was no yogurt or a lot of fruit. Coffee was thin and see through. The pool was out of order the staff told me when we got there. My children were really disappointed. I wish that was known when I booked the room. The hotel was really run down and our room smelled.
- Peyten (2/5): An older hotel in need of a dehumidifier, better ventilation, and a good cleaning. - Close to Starbucks and an empty pool for our kids to enjoy! Our room smelt like smoke and was very damp and musty. The hotel also has some questionable guests that made me feel uneasy with my children around.
- Gregory (5/5): We will not return, pretty unsatisfied. - They had a pool. Out of date, shower head was way to low, could barley fit in the restroom, no smoke detector in our room, Law states there needs to be one. No lock on the pool access door, our key cards had nothing but issues the two nights we stayed.
We believe people are living there on-site which makes it uncomfortable for guests. Man and woman outside arguing, man was intoxicated and two squads showed up. Staff was friendly!
My family will not be returning to this location.
- Joyce (8/5): -
- Randy (1/5): - Nothing dead mice in drawer bugs in bed and bathtub sheet rock dust everywhere vents full of crap Everything was horrible rooms were crap
- Scherbert (1/5): crappy service - I was lied to and discriminated against as an older single women. I was lied about the rooms, he put me in a room across from consttuction work being done! and crap all over the hallway, that I had t step around. lying that there were no more rooms.
My pets were descriminated against. We were awoken at 7 am the next morning, the noise and smell were awful. it was not a relaxing place to stay at, the TV would not work, the Wi Fi did not work. Very sad and uncomfortable situation. see above
- Rose (8/5): Mildly pleasing. - An older property that has been remodeled, but not perfect remodel. We didn’t use many of the amenities. We stayed here due to location. Beds were comfortable, temperature ok once we figured out the controls. Clean. 😊 Property tucked to back of businesses so sign was a little difficult to see. Parking not lighted well. Probably won’t stay there again? Price was competitive.
- Shawn (10/5): Stay was good and will stay there again! - Clean and friendly
- Lily (6/5): -
- Milo (6/5): Mediocre - Breakfast was poor, same offerings every day. Cold eggs, burnt sausage, Breakfast
- Flood (6/5): Satisfactory - Location was nice for where we wanted to be Ac/heater was way to loud, even with fan on low
- Amy (4/5): I would not stay there again. - Beds were ok. Breakfast was okay. Staff was very friendly. There was a chair in the room with the upholstery shredded on the seat. It was run down and not nice. There were random people walking around the parking lot and I was pretty sure my car would be broken into by morning.
- Guðrún Júlía (5/5): - nothing
- Laurence Andre (2/5): - Absolutely Disgusting! Pubic Hair in the bathroom. The Room had been smoked in by cigar. My guest had a bath in room 219 the plumbing overflow drain leaked to the room below. Extremely Dangerous as lighting wiring is installed in ceiling. The manager confronted my guest and accused him of letting the bath overflow. After inspection it was apparent that there was no water on the floor. It was the plumbing that was disconnected. The next manager accused him again of letting the bath overflow. My guest is lucky he was not electrocuted.
- olu (2/5): - The rooms where manageable & the so called breakfast was terrible. The receptionists were very unfriendly & dismissive. Paid for 3 nights & arrived early at 12noon from Vancouver because I had a hockey game. Asked if I can check in early but they refused, I begged them if I can leave my luggage somewhere until they check me in but they were dismissive & insisted that I pay $50 usd. I pleaded & they later accepted $30 USD & they checked me in. It's not about the money it's just their attitude, very unfriendly. Even after staying for 2 days I went to ask if they have an airport shuttle I can pay for & their response was rude, "call an uber or lift!" & the guy just ignored me. I will never recommend this place to anybody.
- 208cassandrak (10/5): Wyndham AmericInn Forest Lake - I love this location next to Starbucks and a convenient Walgreens. It has a pool, the ice machine worked great, coffee in room is flavorful. I appreciate the people who work there!
- Kathy (6/5): - It had a good breakfast. Needs lots of upgrades. Hot tub was nice
- wayne (2/5): Hope I never have to stay there again - Cold food for breakfast and cold coffee poor lighting in the room itself
- Janna (2/5): - This facility has been poorly maintained. There are supplies laying freely about in Customer areas (not housekeeping but think broken lamps and other clutter). The room itself had very poor repairs done, beat up furniture, uncomfortable beds, musty smell, broken window.
- Greg (1/5): Bad. Don't recommend - Food good Old worn out filthy furniture and carpet. Sagging mattress
Mold in bathroom. Strange damp smell in room.
.NOT WORTH THE PRICE.
- LeAnn (1/5): Not happy - I was not given the room I thought I was getting It didn’t have the room at all on property that I was told I was getting when I reserved the room
- Kristle (6/5): - This property is very out dated. The bathroom lights were nonexistent. Very hard to see.
- Roxana (2/5): -
"The place was really dirty and I didn't feel secure. Someone knocked on my door at midnight, but I was too scared to answer it."
- Clifford (9/5): -
- Kayleigh (8/5): - Place is shabby, pool is closed but staff are sincerely wonderful and the place is clean even if it is dated. Very worth it as a budget hotel but the images are old because it looks way older in person.
- bkF3550WS (4/5): Dirty, someone unlocked our room with a master key and walking in while we were in our room - Crap on the floor, clearly not vacuumed, actual poop smudge on the lid on the toilet. Someone who works here also literally opened the door to our room with a master key while my dad and I were in it, didnt knock or anything, we were both laying on our beds and she opened the door. And then when she saw us, she turned around without saying anything and tried to walk/run down the stairs
- Kris (8/5): - Staff were kind and very helpful. Property is older and needs renovations.
- Valerie (4/5): - No elevator for handicap persons, felt like we were on a drag strip all night, the carpet smells like old smoke. The couch had so much dirt on it and very old, ripped up. The toilet was really low like a kids toilet and so scratched up, did not flush well. The front desk person was no where to be found for service to help get us up the stairs which he said he would…
- Janet (8/5): -
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Gary (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Needs a lot of upgrades… - Our stay was okay. Don’t think we’ll be staying there again if we were to visit the area. Bed not comfortable. Carpet felt damp. The door’s bolt lock kept getting misaligned and not locking. The pool was cloudy looking. Breakfast was minimal. Honestly, the whole place could use an upgrade.
- Sally (4/5): - Bad breakfast, doors wouldn’t close, needs to be “refreshed”
- Michael (9/5): Just right for my needs - Location Side door was not accessible after hours (no key card lock), but someone had propped the door with a small rock.
- Valerie (2/5): - Room not very clean.
Very damp
Toilet leaking
Hair in shower.
- Sue (10/5): It was clean and the staff was great - The location was perfect
- Grant (10/5): - Great
- Sheridan (4/5): - The property was really old and dusty. The air conditioners could really use a tune up. Be wary when they ask your card for incidentals because we were charged midway through our stay and housekeeping had never been in our room. The morning staff were nice and efficient in helping us solve the problem immediately. Food is rather subpar and the area around the hotel was spotty.
- Susan (6/5): - Property is very dated and needs some work.
- Patricia (4/5): - Upon arrival their key card machine was broken. We had to have the front desk open our door for us the whole 2 day stay. Our reserved room was given to someone else ( we checked in about 4:30pm) so we were put a handicap room and the shower had mold and missing grout. The pool was cloudy. The breakfast had cheese omelets that were hard, no regular coffee, all the tables were dirty. The second morning we ate away. I would not stay here again or recommend it.
- Amy (8/5): - Front desk worker wasn’t too friendly
- Karen (2/5): - They didn't inform ahead of time even when i called to ask, that the pool was not working. I asked for a refund and was not given it. People were yelling in a room down the hall, people were working on their car in the parking lot. Not pleased that i didnt even stay there and wouldn't refund me.
- Smilie (3/5): Poor - Location Odor in room found odor beater on top of cabinet see photo
Side doors no access in with key card
No pool or hot tub was available as stated said needed maintenance..however it had cardboard boxes around pool which were delivered when we were there...why on weekend when tournaments were going on and kiddos wanted to swim. When we arrived we checked pool and it was open then after boxes delivered it was closed!!
Needs updating!
- Kurt (4/5): - The pool was out of service with no warning. Would have booked elsewhere if I’d had k own my son was very disappointed. Also room door did not easily close and have to be pulled shut to lock which seemed very sketchy. Overall building was very dated compared to other America inns I’ve stayed at and there were no washrooms for any conman areas. To top it off the flag in the parking lot was tattered do a disappointing state.
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): - Like just about everything, except had to change rooms 3 times because the TV'S did not work, everything was clean and the clerk was very nice and patient.
- Pamela (10/5): Pleasant - It was what we needed Nothing
- Kelly (10/5): - Managers were great
- Walton (7/5): Good -
- Linda (7/5): Good - Check in was complicated. Stuff was broke in room and smelled Great breakfast.
- Rudolph (9/5): Great - The breakfast was better than I expected. They had scrambled egg patties folded in half with melted cheese inside ad great coffee, oj, waffles, cold cereal, bagels, toast, & fruit I can't think of anything.
- Maatshwane (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Kimberly (8/5): Very good -
- Cindy (7/5): Good -
- Maatshwane (10/5): - Other
- Wendy (10/5): - Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Nice pool and hot tub.
- Sharon (6/5): - My window overlooked like a small area of vehicles that never moved. I am assuming homeless folks.
- Rutten (3/5): Poor -
- Cynthia (8/5): Very good -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raymond (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect for what we needed - We used the spot as a crash pad between sporting events and it served it's purpose just fine. The front gentleman, Malik, who checked us in at 10pm, was very friendly and said he was just getting ready to call us to make sure we were okay. I thought that was very nice. Overall decent hotel.
- bisonb648 (8/5): Clean, quiet, no frills - I’m travelling alone, so I wanted quiet, comfortable, and inexpensive. I got them all here. The only noise I heard was the wind whipping the flag around outside my window. It was clean, with no frills. I was pleased that everything worked, and the room was aesthetically warm. The front desk owner(?) was very nice, and full of conversation when telling me about his homeland of Pakistan after I asked where he was from. The breakfast was the reason for 4 out of 5 stars. Nothing was fresh except the apples. It was pretty bad. And what was also frustrating was listening to the fire alarm beep for a new battery. I was puzzled by the clutter in areas like the front desk and the end of the hallway, consisting of vacuums, reams of paper, towels, etc. Put things away and shut the doors for the back rooms. It makes for a nicer environment for the guests. All in all, I’d stay here again with the knowledge I’ll sleep well in a clean room. I’ll eat breakfast somewhere else.
- Brian (10/5): - Efficient
- Michael (1/5): Bad -
- Raymond (9/5): Superb -
- Brisch (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was very po k ite and professional. Everything we needed, food, coffee, even a drug store, and restaurants were within walking distance. We just wish the trip was for a vacation or something fun instead of a serious medical issue. It was a perfect location to just kick and relax. Not the case on this trip. We really didn't get to relax and enjoy what they had tonoffer. We will be back. Thus is our new place to stay when we come to the T win Cities.
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Marvin (9/5): Superb -
- Amberlee (2/5): - Dated and breakfast was horrible!
- Louann (9/5): Superb - Only seen one person working. Checkin, filling pool towels, breakfast, etc. He was always friendly and handled the job well. It was a pleasant place to stay.
- Sharyl (10/5): - Excellent service and check in and out was so easy. Attentive to request. Would stay again!
- Betz (7/5): It was convenient, quiet and easy stay in a great location with horrible WiFi. - Location was great and staff were friendly. Nice lobby. Standard free breakfast. Poor WiFi. Dingy room with stained lampshades and poor lighting. Bathroom could use a deep scrub. There was dust on the popcorn ceiling.
- William (7/5): Very nice stay we had would come again 10/10 - Staff was very nice! Room was good had all the essentials loved the pool/hot tub always nice and relaxing was pretty quiet had lots of space View could be better
- Scott (10/5): - Kids loved the pool! And i loved the hot tub!
- Krystal (8/5): - Very nice people and quiet for a child with special needs. Close to the hospitals as well.
- Natalie (10/5): Best pools - The pool was a perfect temperature which is very important for young children and the elderly. This is more important than we realize. Warm relaxing water is an absolute gift. Can't thank you enough for your care. Americinn is the only hotel that maintains a pool temperature that is not only tolerable but relaxing. Absolutely nothing. Thrilled with the place
- Lisa (10/5): - Very clean.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Dustin (10/5): - Staff was Super Friendly and accomidating
- Erin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (8/5): Waffles - The pool was warm so I did like that . The lady In the blanket , starred at me every time I saw her.
- Marian (4/5): Safety concern - It was quiet and had close restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Definitely needs upgrades. Dust balls on ceiling. Dirty stained chair in my room. Drapes were old and lampshades were old and stained. Vagrants sleeping in their cars.
- Don (5/5): You get what you pay for - Location and cost near the cities was nice. Things were in disrepair and cleanliness wasn’t the same as other Americainns. Operators live at the property and weren’t knowledgeable on service dog rules.
- Kate (9/5): We enjoyed our stay there and the staff were very nice. - The breakfast was very good. Space permitting it would have been nice to have more seating to eat. The waffles were a big hit. It would have been nice to have yogurt as an option. It was hard to stay asleep with the heater going on and off. The sound of it kept waking me and my friend up.
- Marianne (6/5): Will not go to this hotel again. I’m sad for the staff because thy where great. - Location was fine . Food was ok …. The staff was very nice and helpful. The building needs help. The pool was so cloudy and well yuck… I’m not sure who endures the expense of all the building needs but it seems like a BIG need. One family we met were considering going to another hotel.
- Dougherty (8/5): Very good -
- Pedlar (1/5): Too scented - Nothing Room was over scented with a not so universal scent. Gave me a headache and didn't even stay the night.
- Homola (7/5): We slept well and enjoyed the waffle. - Need to update the carpeting and the floor in the bathroom had broken/ chipped tiles on the floor
Also couldn’t figure out how to run the tv
