- David and Judy (2/5): Unacceptable - Room itself was clean and well maintained but that was all I liked Evening receptionist was rude and unprofessional. She scolded a young boy for asking her a question . She advised me she wouldn’t trust the online registration with any personal information. Totally unprofessional. Lobby carpet looked filthy dirty. Doesn’t look like it’s ever been shampooed. Breakfast was HORRIBLE. Very cheap food. They only provided three pillows for two people so if you wanted to prop yourself up in bed to watch tv you had to share a pillow. Air conditioner was extremely loud as it turned on and off. Woke me up every time it did. Needless to say if you are hoping for a good nights sleep it is out of the question. Not a place I will ever go to again. Good luck if you do!
- Gile (6/5): - Breakfast was a disappointment. Coffee urns were both empty by 7:00. No jelly or peanut butter for toast.
- tonij478 (10/5): Great spot to stop for an overnight on my road trip. - Clean and safe location. Breakfast offered lots of options. Fair price and local restaurants in the area to pick from. Walmart and Dollar General nearby
- Ryan (10/5): -
- TIlton (8/5): -
- Deb (8/5): - Good breakfast
- Patrick (4/5): - We stayed here for $200 a night, which felt steep for the level of accommodations provided. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and my kids enjoyed the breakfast. Unfortunately, the room had visible spots on the bedding and a noticeable mildew smell that made the stay less comfortable. Overall, it was clean enough to get by for a night, but not worth the price.
- Judith K (4/5): - Parking
- Maichou (8/5): - The rooms smelled musty and the beds weren’t comfortable. I don’t know if it was worth the $176/night. But it did the job.
- Emily (8/5): - Great
- Laurie Connell (7/5): -
- jrperkins3 (6/5): Needs a better breakfast - Room was good, place was quiet. Unfortunately, the breakfast isn't much, so I will probably pick something else in the area.
- Deb (7/5): - It was a nice place to stay We didn't have the room we paid for. It was supposed to be a deluxe king suite with hot tub and fireplace. No fireplace. When I asked staff, they said they would ask manager. We were not moved to a suite that I paid for. Would like reimbursement if I paid more money for a room I didn't receive.
- Jim (6/5): - Musty smell and damp sheets. Breakfast was subpar.
- Karen (10/5): 1 night stay - 1 night business stay, clean, comfortable and quiet just what I wanted
- William (8/5): -
- William (10/5): -
- jackandjenny (10/5): Great place with friendly staff - I stayed here for a couple nights while on business travel. The hotel was easy to find and the staff helped my feel welcome and comfortable upon my check in. Room was clean and in great condition
- Lisa (9/5): Superb - Easy access. Staff, not friendly.
- Richert (10/5): Exceptional - Helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast to start the day. Comfortable bed and clean room. Great hot tub to relax in at night.
- Mark (10/5): Nice hotel - It was a nice clean place
- Brigit (7/5): Good -
- Carmen (8/5): - The front staff was wounderful. The room looked nice. The bathroom needed an update.
- Johnathan (10/5): - Clean and not super loud
- Tana (8/5): - Very clean and fresh, well maintained. This property does not have an elevator, so if stairs are an issue be sure to book a room on the ground floor. The staff will carry your luggage to the second floor if you need assistance. Good rates too, not overpriced. Nice variety of fresh breakfast items.
- Amber (6/5): - Minus the strong smell of marijuana down the hallway to the room and the musty smell in the room everything else was decent.
- Jeannette (4/5): - The guy at the desk was not very pleasant when checking in. Also the rooms weren’t very clean. I believe they are short handed as the front desk is the house keeper. There was plastic milk bottle behind the night stand and some garbage. Black hair in the upper part of the shower. Had it not been graduation weekend we would have not stay here. Also it smelled like the septic tank erupted. They had some issue in the front parking and it was gross to be outside. I would not stay here again, go to Fargo.
- Patricia (8/5): - Easy to find
- lentkc (2/5): pool/hottub unuseable. - worst managed hotels in Wahpeton are managed by Linda Hoffman.. pool is unuseable as they rent it out to locals, cheap and is always crowded and smelly. local teenagers everywhere and loud. Baymount is under better management, quiet and has a great hottub and pool set up well for children and a much better stay... best is that it is NOT managed by the worst hotel manager in the state. Linda Hoffman ... horrible.
- Michael (8/5): All in all, a good clean, safe place to stay. - Everything was great for the most part except the breakfast...all regular coffee was out when I went for some, and was no scrambled eggs or hashbrowns but there was a couple yogurt and waffles to make...not even a boiled egg tho.
- Steven (2/5): - We showed up at 10:30 pm with a reservation 3 days prior. The room we reserved was not made up and still dirty.
They moved us to a dingy hotel, that was even worse.
- Tonya (4/5): - We had a drain that was plugged in the bathtub and they didn't come fix it until late afternoon the following day. The heater was very noisey , the refrigerator didn't work and the rates were very high for a medium class hotel. Not sure if i will stay there again
- Verified traveler (6/5): Too expensive - Came to the hotel to check in and was told they no longer allow early check ins without charging more money. Room was already double the regular price. Room was ready and no other people were waiting for rooms. Very disappointed as that policy was just decided a week prior. Came for a dance competition and daughter had no where to get ready because of their new policy. What difference would a few hours make since we were going to be in that room anyways. Paid way too much for a room we didn't get to use much.
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amstalden (10/5): Good place, near of Walmarket and the city. - Easy check in, Easy Check out. Room clean. WiFi good. Bed Excelent. Pillow excelent. Breakfast
- Pamela (6/5): - Room was not what I was expecting. We had 6 people and were given a room to accommodate 4 people. Staff then found a room much more accommodating.
- Racheal (6/5): - From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a clean atmosphere and a pleasant front desk host. The hallways are clean and the rooms were clean and ready for guests. My main complaint is the pool area. As soon as you walk thru the doors the chlorine hits your face (literally) causing eyes and nostrils to burn and children to cough. We maybe stayed in the pool area maybe 20 min due to this. My son had asthma and as soon as we got back to the room and he had his inhaler, he stopped his fit (thankfully). If this would be fixed- my entire rating would be 10/10. The pool area was clean, had towels and a connected bathroom but the chlorine was dangerous.
- Ashley (6/5): - I chose this hotel for the pool. Turns out they allow "open swim" so roughly 10 teenage kids came in to swim unsupervised while my daughters and I were in the pool area making it an unpleasant experience. The hotel was quiet except when the people next to us came because our door didn't seal so you could hear everything in the hallway. When the lights were off in the room, you could see the light from the hallway through the cracks around the door. The tub drain was also VERY slow so when we took a shower the water backed up into the tub because it didn't drain well. That was gross. Everything else was good. Room was clean and the breakfast was good. The morning lady was nice at checkout but the evening/checkin guy was not very friendly. I
- Elaine (10/5): - Clean, roomy
- Helga (8/5): Was very comfortable - Easy access from main roads
- Jennifer (10/5): Nice Stay - Very nice and clean hotel. Nicest
hotel I've stayed at in Whapeton No complaints
- Jim (6/5): - Expedia had canceled our reservation, but facility reversed cancelation
- Charles (7/5): Good - Checking went fine. Room had everything we needed There were chunks of mud on the floor beside the bed. Also the HVAC unit had chunks of mud in it. Corners in the bathroom floor were not perfectly clean.
- Deb (10/5): Exceptional -
- ALISHA (4/5): - Room was very dirty. Old food containers, dirty jetted tub, needed a good vacuum. Breakfast was awful
- Laurie (9/5): With the exception of the hot tub issue, everything was great. - Nice room, lobby, pool Hot tub quit working during our stay
- Judith (8/5): Very good -
- Kenneth (8/5): Very good - The lobby area is welcoming! Love the fireplace! The pool and hot tub area were clean! The room setting was perfect! Cozy! The staff weren't very friendly.
The room lighting is a little too dark. The toilet chamber made noise ALL the time, water was leaking. I was surprised to see the charge of use of the pack and play for my 1 year old grandson.
- Susan (8/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The tub/shower is old and needs to be redone. Breakfast was small but the muffins were very good.
- John (7/5): This is a cheap place to stay and it reflects that. - Breakfast was good. But the plasticware needs to be upgraded to heavy duty. Not medium duty. The forks didn’t hold up to the heat of the waffle!! That’s pretty bad. The beds are not comfortable at all.
What was most disturbing was the fact that the water cooler in the lobby was filled from a sink!! It was empty and there was another person and I looking for someone to put a new bottle in. When the person took the empty bottle in the back. You heard a faucet running filling something. And when he didn’t return for a couple minutes we figured he was filling the bottle with tap water when the jug said spring water!!
- Kimberly (5/5): Passable - Accessible, clean TV’s didn’t work. No floor length mirrors in room. We were in town for a funeral and had no mirror to check our clothing, tie ties, etc
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel - It was a nice hotel and would stay here again.
- LRozzell22 (2/5): Black mold in the room! - Our request for an early check-in was approved but not honored. After being charged the extra $25 for the early check-in, the front desk staff told us that our room was still dirty. Given that early check-in is for check-in at 1pm, our room still not being clean at 2:30pm was ridiculous. The room they eventually put us in was gross. It smelled strongly of mildew and the carpet next to the tub in the corner was soaked. We eventually found black mold next to the air conditioning unit and had to pack all our things and request a new room.
- Barb (8/5): Very good - Good
- Leah (7/5): Good - Room next to us had a mold smell and a ton of chew packs under the bed. It was strong it went into our room when the door was open.
- Cindy (6/5): - Breakfast wasn’t very hot
- Jeannette (4/5): - My room had mold on the ceiling, everything in the room was damp. I had to use my asthma inhalers the whole stay. I would never recommend this place.
- jkweebs (6/5): Ok but needs work - Check-in was quick and easy. The gentleman at the front desk was not really outgoing. The hotel needs an update it is an old-school style AmericInn and its wear and tear shows. The room was quiet we were at the end of the upstairs hall. Unfortunately, the bedding had stains and the bed was not really comfortable. The breakfast left a lot to be desired with Biscuits and gravy that lacked any flavor as well as the eggs and sausage that was provided. Overall I would give the breakfast a 2 1/2 score. There are not many options for hotels in the area and that shows with the quality of service and offerings here.
- Bently (7/5): A little too pricey. I’ve stayed in much for less. Clean and comfortable though - Easy to get to No issues
- Doris (2/5): Staff was nice but we were there 4 days & not once did housekeeping come in. We requested twice to have them at leas - The main area was very clean & comfortable The physical property was good except the smoke alarm in our room was barely hooked up. It was literally hanging from the ceiling.
- Ashley (10/5): Very clean - Nice and clean Na
- Kelly (4/5): I would not stay in that hotel again when I can stay a few miles away for a fraction of the cost. - The hotel was clean and the staff was ok. The amount we paid for the room was very excessive.
- Lisa (10/5): - Great staff. Quiet stat
- rkarna543792 (6/5): Good place for traveling workers - The location and services of this hotel is very good when traveling in Wahpeton. Pool and hot tub were nice. Breakfast could be better but still works. I recommend this location when in town. Price and value were good.
- Happiness40364152787 (10/5): Business trip made comfortable. - Excellent property! Very clean, bright, fluffy pillows and good bed. The place is NOT worn out but rather actually seems new. Friendly, accomodating staff. Decent breakfast for a 2 star hotel- better than most with Hot and cold selections. Nice lobby area. We had some work to do and sat in the breakfast area after it had closed. 2nd time there and we will be back.
- jstoen318921 (4/5): Construction, musty smell, cold coffee/inadequate breakfast - Staff was friendly at check in and check out. (It's the only time we saw staff.) The lobby smelled musty and there was a bunch of black plastic hanging around. Many breakfast items were gone 1/2 way through allotted time without replenishing and coffee in carafes was cold (no one came to check on any of it).
- Jeff (4/5): Great location! Inadequate breakfast. Many items ran out, coffee was cold & no one checked on it. - The location was perfect for us. Check in and out went well. Room was clean. Breakfast was inadequate. Many items were gone 1/2 way through the allotted time and coffee in carafes was cold. No one came to check on it. Lobby smelled musty. Black plastic was hanging from ceilings.
- Scott (8/5): - Staff very friendly. Rooms were extremely clean. Amenities were limited. No elevator to second floor. Roku TV’s with no way to stream to TV. Property just needs to be modernized a bit.
- Desiree (10/5): - It was a great experience, would definitely stay again!
- John (10/5): - Other than getting roped off on the price of the room it was very nice
- Laura (4/5): Dated, poor accurate description, staff basic, no options to upgrade - Location Rundown and dates property, staff was confused and extremely high cost for type of stay… fairly empty hotel, no offer to upgrade
- Amanda (10/5): - There breakfast was very good!
- Shirley (4/5): Robin Enevoldsen - We were there for my sons wedding, I rented 5 rooms for 2 nights, they would not refresh the Honey moon suite for the bride and groom, the breakfast was terrible, ran out of waffle mix at the height of the wedding guests having breakfast and would not refill for us. Overall staff was very rude. We had gift bags for the guest and only 1/2 were given out, i went to get the remaining bags and was told they gave them to the staff. I paid almost $1300.00 for our rooms not to mention the other wedding guest at you hotel. Very dissapointed with EVERYTHING poor quality hotel for price.
- Chuck (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jon (9/5): Superb -
- William (4/5): - For the price of the room it was very plain TV didn’t work when we checked in. Very limited channels and poor picture
- Ashley (10/5): very clean - very nice and clean the pool was awesome na
- Tammy (8/5): Not $180's worth - The hotel was fine for our overnight stay, but certainly not a $188.00/night hotel. It is showing its age and not clean and updated enough to be more than $129.00/night stay. Staff were friendly enough, but I wouldn't say cheerful or caring whether our stay was enjoyable or not. Breakfast was good and the area was clean and cozy.
- Richard (8/5): Running from Him-a-cane Ian. -
- Mary (10/5): It was very comfortable - The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful The hot tub jets were not working, was looking forward to sitting in the hot tub
- Cody (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lora (10/5): Exceptional -
- RPata (10/5): Stay, try it, you’ll like it! - This facility has it all. It’s clean it looks good coming in, the desk manager was phenomenally friendly efficient and knowledgeable. The facility was very clean the room was excellent. And the food was very good several notches above most other big chain hotels with an overripe status.
- David (4/5): Disappointing - No hot water and shower was broken in our room
- Greg (8/5): - Clean and modern room, only complaint is room not ready at check in time had to wait a bit.
- Michael (8/5): - Clean and quiet
- Nancy (10/5): - Clean and comfortable.
- kasey (10/5): Great place - Nice area, clean room, will stay again
