• Sarah (10/5): - This is a lovely villa in a fabulous location. The hosts where brilliant. Met us on the first full day to make sure everything was OK. Beforehand we had a guest pack sent that gave loads of useful information. Its just 5 mins walk from the Rubicon Marina which has loads of places to eat drink and shop. We had Villa 8 and it was perfect. Would definitely recommend. There is some construction work going on on the site next door but we wherever informed of it before we arrived. It wasn't too bad and finished by 4pm most days and nothing at the weekend. Double bed could be a bit bigger but thats nothing really as there are 2 other beds in the villa if needed
• Karen (6/5): Just ok - Management are very responsive and helpful. The welcome basket was a nice surprise. Location is very convenient to walk to the marina. The unit we stayed in was very tired and in need of some TLC. The furniture was pretty worn, the outside area definitely needed a paint job, and furnishings were pretty sparse. I’m scratching my head at the very positive reviews on this property. Perhaps some of the units have been renovated, and we stayed at an older one? The pictures seem to be taken when this property was brand new, I found they did not represent the unit accurately.

• Marco Roland (9/5): Sehr schöne Villa an perfekter Lage in der Nähe von der Marina und dem Meer. Sehr Familienfreundlich und gut ausgestatte - Aussicht aufs Meer von der kleinen Terrasse im Obergeschoss und schöner Garten mit Pool. Baustelle nebenan! Der Geruch im unteren WC - Kanalisation!
• Mary (10/5): Excellent Location with pool and very comfortable - Excellent location. Very well maintained. Comfortable and pool was wonderful. Great for a family of 5. The narrow gates and hill to park the hire car. It was a very stressful experience.
• Elizabeth (9/5): Perfect location in comfortable villa - Excellent location as quiet but within 5 min walk of the mariner/shops/bars. Staff friendly and responsive to requests eg kitchen knives were blunt so new ones provided following day, and extra rubbish bags provided. Lovely sized pool and deck space in perfect aspect to enjoy the sun but still some shaded areas provided. Felt very safe. The small upstairs terrace outdoor seating area was a bonus. One double bed mattress was hard and uncomfortable but discovered afterwards that a topper could have been provided if it had been requested. Could be more kitchen equipment to make eating in a bit easier.

• Steve (7/5): An enjoyable stay but the villa could be better and the weather was unseasonably bad! - We were in Villa No:5, "The Lugger", one of approx 6 villas on the development. The villa is well laid out including three bedrooms, a living/dining room and kitchen. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, glasses, cutlery and various pots, pans and equipment. The garden area and swimming pool are lovely and mainly private. Just overlook a little by the next door villas 1st floor. We paid an extra €100 to have the pool heated which was well worth having. The location is great, being a short walk from the main Rubicon harbour area of Playa Blanca and all the restaurants, shops etc. The villa is starting to show its age (approx 20 years old I think). It has a damp problem on the walls at ground level suggesting no damp course. Paint and plaster is falling off the wall. External and internal doors didn't fit properly which got a bit annoying! Curtains were hanging off the rails in places and they could do with cleaning. The other issue is that whilst staying at the villa in March when the weather is usually pretty good, this time we had the wind and rain on and off all week from Storm Terese which meant we didn't get to use the pool as much as we would have liked.

• Paul (7/5): Very nice villa. - Villa was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Host was very attentive and friendly. Shops nearby. Pool heating only worked intermittently. Villa was too far from beach. Bad smell of drains at times.
• Phil (9/5): Fantastic villas. Would totally recommend - Everything about this villa from the location to the ease of getting there and getting in was great. We didn’t have much contact with the hosts because we didn’t need it, everything was so straightforward. When we did need something- such as a taxi to the airport, they were super helpful. The heated pool was one of the best I’ve experienced which just made the stay that bit better. (Be aware, there’s an additional charge to heat the pool) No real complaints. Things like comfier beds or more/better towels would have made it more 5 star but not a big deal at all. Also the lock on the door in our villa was a bit temperamental- worth getting that checked.

With lots of nice restaurants and a lovely clif - It was great to have all of the space, and the garden and pool meant we could be in or out of the sun, move around for the best location etc. the villa was very clean. The location, with a short walk to the Rubicon port area was excellent. The staff were all so helpful. I would highly recommend Villas de la Marina. I would be wary of small children around the pool.

• Wout (7/5): Villa op goede locatie - Ligging van de villa is een groot pluspunt. Rustig gelegen, op loopafstand naar de haven. Vond de inrichting van de villa, nogal versleten. Keukenkast-deurtjes hingen scheef, dressoir viel bijna uiteen. Tweepersoonsbed was ook beetje gammel. Villa heeft echt achterstallig onderhoud nodig. Daarom vind ik de prijs/kwaliteits verhouding niet echt kloppen.

Dom bol čistý, príjemný, kuchyňa dobre vybavená. Všetko čo sme potrebovali. Príjemný bonus boli na pribítanie veci v chladničke😊 Prijali by sme mat ešte jedny kľúče, nakoľko nás bolo 5 dospelých ľudí
• Helen (10/5): We had a lovely relaxing week in the November sunshine, and delicious meals out on an evenings, exactly what we all need - The property offered everything we expected… fabulous location for the Rubicón Marina … only a maximum of a 10 minute stroll to the restaurants and shops . The only problem we encountered was that the outside lights came on at 19:15 but because it was November and dark at 18:30 the driveway was difficult to negotiate as we went out for the evening
• Stefanie (9/5): Aangenaam verblijf! - Door de vele ramen en schuifpuien is het een heerlijk licht huisje en kan je alles lekker open zetten en het zonnetje binnen laten komen. Een fijne tuin met privacy, zwembadje, comfortabele ligbedden, gezellige zitjes, sfeervolle verlichting en beplanting en een Weber barbecue voor de liefhebber. En wanneer de zon uit de tuin wegdraait kan je op het ruime balkon, dat grenst aan de slaapkamers, nog genieten van het uitzicht en de laatste zonnestralen van de dag. Goede en vlotte communicatie met de beheerder. Prima locatie; paar minuten lopen naar de supermarkt en de restaurants en zo'n 10 minuten naar het strand. De keuken is heel klein, terwijl de rest van het huis juist heel ruimtelijk is. De keuken is wel goed uitgerust en van alle gemakken voorzien.

• Adrian (9/5): Best Villa (number 8) we have rented in Playa Blanca. Location is perfect for the Marina. - Tremendous Villa in a great location. Host was in regular contact and we appreciated that. Best Villa we have rented thus far during out visits to Playa Blanca. Villa 8 is excellent and has a huge spacious out door area. Having a hot tub was a pleasant surprise and lovely in the evenings. Will be back for sure. Only gripe would be that the shower in the double bed room took a while to become warm and pressure wasn't the best. But that's the only constructive feedback I can give as everything else perfect.

• Amanda (10/5): Perfect, we will be back again. - Beautiful villa fitted with everything you could possibly need, supermarket short distance away and the beautiful marina with its lovely restaurants and weekly market just a short stroll. We didn’t hire a car and walked everywhere from the marina to the ferry port and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is not anything to dislike, it’s clever layout means that when you open the doors and windows there is a lovely cross breeze throughout the day, we barely used the air conditioning. Pool area is a lovely size and a really pleasant place to sit and relax. Hosts are always on hand should you need anything, communication was top notch.

• ALBERTO (10/5): Amazing villa. Gorgeous pool. Best location - Location was incredible. Very quiet, but 5 minutes from the Marina. Swimming pool was perfect. Got sun all day around. Air conditioning in all rooms and lounge was really quiet and modern. Shower pressures upstairs was quite poor. The villa could do with some outside small tables between the sun loungers to leave the drinks. Extra cushions for the chill out corner at the back of the garden would be a plus.

Good location as near Marina but only a 15-20 walk to centre of Playa Blanca along beautiful promenade. Near beaches. Good smart TVs, which were great for the kids. Great welcome pack and clear instructions from the team. Responsive through Guest portal and WhatsApp. Kitchen is a little small and not a huge amount of space for groceries but we made do. Would be great to have plastic cups and plates for the pool area, as well as some place mats and coasters. Some more kitchen utensils, and another oven tray would also have been really handy. Not sure what can be done but when windy, a lot of dust tracks into the house so our feet were constantly dirty despite sweeping up. A minor quibble.

• Sandris (10/5): Amazing place to stay, I would definitely recommend. - I really liked the property for its outdoor swimming pool, the air conditioning, and the open, bright living spaces filled with natural light. Also the hosts prepared a bowl or fruit, beer, bread, water bottles upon our arrival.

• Gareth (10/5): A fabulous week in this stunning villa! - The villa was absolutely fabulous! We really appreciated the welcome pack of beers, juice, water, milk, marmalade, fruit bowl and bread, it was so helpful after travelling all day and arriving in the late evening. The villa had every thing we could possibly need for our stay, even pool towels. It was immaculate inside and outside. The villa is in a private location and we felt very safe. Beautiful views of the sea from the balcony, walking distance to the harbour and beach and lots of lovely restaurants close by. The staff were very attentive and very professional. We will definitely be booking with you again! Nothing!! We loved everything about the villa!

The Villa is within walking distance of a supermarket; bars; restaurants; the Marina and a fab beach. Perfect location. The aircon downstairs doesn’t quite cool the space enough but the host very quickly supplied us with an excellent fan.

• Kirsty (10/5): Great stay - We loved how close the villa was to the marina. The villa itself was clean and comfortable with en suite bathrooms to all the bedrooms. The villa was also modern with a lovely kitchen. The villa needed a little tlc in places and a little more attention to detail. For instance the curtains weren't attached properly and some grout was missing in the bathrooms. Small things but small details create a big difference.

Communication was exceptional in the run up and during our stay. We had a few minor issues, a door handle came off, and it was fixed within hours. Big shout out to Victor and Franzi! The downstairs toilet didn’t have the best flush but otherwise can’t fault it.

• Almag (9/5): Lovely villa in ideal location - This set of 8 villas is very handy for the Marina Rubicon, and there is a supermarket even nearer. The facilities are very good, with private outside space and pool. The kitchen is reasonably well stocked with crockery, cutlery, pans etc. The fridge/freezer is large. Cleaning materials are provided, and plenty of towels. The pool area is cleaned regularly, and the cleaner Victor is very friendly. We had a few problems, including getting into the villa because the keys had jammed in the key box, but everything was sorted out by helpful staff. Nicki fixed our TV when she called to welcome us. We had Villa 4 and its gates are very narrow - they closed on us when trying to reverse our car out without hitting anything, as the sensor is outside the gate. After that we parked on the road.

• Kevin (9/5): Well equipped apartment near to the lovely marina. - Location, heated pool, balcony with view, well equipped kitchen, dishwasher and laundry facilities. Plus little extras like drinks in the fridge, bread, fruit, salt & pepper, olive oil and dishwasher tablets. On arrival in the early evening there was limited hot water and the air con wasn't working. This was quite quickly diagnosed in the morning as being due to a tripped switch on the fuse board which was promptly resolved. There was also a small maintenance issue with the sliding doors which was sorted efficiently.

Good communication from the team as and when you need them via WhatsApp. Shower in the main bedroom leaked around the bottom of the screen. Gate hydraulic damper had fell off the wall half way through the holiday so had to squeeze through the fence when coming and going from the villa. Inside and outside furnishings will need re newing soon. Also, didn't like the fact there are cameras in the property. We'd stayed 2 years ago and wasn't informed of this at that time. You can isolate them by pushing the cover up over the lenses BUT it just feels a bit intrusive.

• Dean (9/5): Loved it :) - The communication was excellent. Had both email and WhatsApp communication and response time was great. Villa was clean and tidy with everything you needed. Ideal location for a family holiday. Less than 5 minute walk to the Marina with plenty of restaurants (when busy suggest you book if you want to eat outside) and water activities on offer. Beach short walk away. Kids loved the pool. Only small thing I would suggest if no oven gloves as we did a little bit of cooking.

The villa was well appointed and exceptionally clean. We were very grateful that the villa was ready for a very early check in after an early morning flight. The location is quiet, feels very safe but is close to all the facilities of Marina Rubicon and the beach. The team ordered us a taxi to the airport on departure which was punctual and very much appreciated. We will definitely be back! Nothing

• Sam (10/5): Awesome. Perfect. Book it - The location was perfect. Close to the marina loads of restaurants and a 3 to 5 minute walk from a good sized HiperDino and other shops. We got a jacuzzi in ours which was awesome and the pool was a perfect size. The rooms were clean, the aircon was perfect and the kitchen was well stocked. Nothing it was perfect
• David (9/5): Wanted to totally relax. Ticked all the box’s. - Well equipped and appointed. Great pool and a jacuzzi.. Clean, modern. Convenient location. Sunny patio garden and pool area. BBQ. good shaded area. No view of the sea even from upper terrace. The wall of the next villa was a bit like a cliff despite the beutiful palm.
• Jane (8/5): Really enjoyed our holiday here and would love to come back. - Excellent location. Great pool. Very friendly and obliging staff. We first stayed here 6 years ago, think the property could do with a more comfortable sofa and chairs and the air conditioning units may need updated as they don’t provide cold enough air.

The facilities were good, everything worked, staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi and AC was very good Swimming pool was good size and deep It had shaded area outside near the pool It had large covered balcony or terrace It had large plants outside No access off street other via automatic gated drive. Kitchen was a bit small for family of adults - only 1 good cook at a time There was not enough sun loungers for more than 4 There was very little plastic cups for outside drinks It had very steep narrow drive not practical for large car or elderly

• Janice (10/5): A private Villa and pool with all amenities. - The property very spacious and clean, a well fitted kitchen with washing machine and coffee maker. There are two en-suite bathrooms both lead out to a great balcony with seating. The hosts were very nice, thank you Beatriz and Franzi also Berto who came the next day and explained any queries we had initially. We loved the pool area which the water was very warm, no need for heating, also a great little bbq which was great for us one night. There is a short walk down to the Rubicon Marina which has plenty of great restaurants and a brilliant bar (Oasis) which has live music almost every night. All in all we had a great holiday at the Villa ❤️ There was nothing not to like.

• Fergal (9/5): Home from home villa. Lovely quiet place to stay. - Lovely villa, spacious, clean with all mod cons. Kitchen well equipped. Essentials welcome pack excellent. Very flexible on arrival and departure times. WiFi only worked for one day of seven day stay. Safe accessible only by key on fob as electronic function not working so unable to leave keys in key safe while out. Had to listen to whole day of loud maintenance in surrounding villas. Would have been nice to be notified.
• Darren (10/5): Excellant villa with great communication and customer service - The Villa was really well laid out and everything worked well such as the large space downstairs with two sets of doors leading out to the large terrace area, the large pool and hot tub, the nice shaded area with roof if it got too hot and the shaded area with outside dining table in a small terrace just outside the doors. There was also a barbecue which was ready to go when we arrived but we never got a chance to use it unfortunately. There was a large balcony upstairs which could be accessed from both bedrooms and the bedrooms both ensuite with plenty of space for clothes. The kitchen was a nice size and there was a welcome pack when we arrived which was appreciated. The big fridge freezer was also great for keeping water, soft drinks and off course beer cold. The customer service and communicatiion throughout were first class and that really makes the whole experience a bit more special. We were also able to stay on to 5pm on our last day as our flight was late which was very much appreciated. Highly recommend these villas close to the Marina Rubicon. The weather! It wasn't good for the first 5 days with high winds and mostly overcast between 21 to 23. It picked up for the last 3 or 4 days but definately not the weather that was forecast before we left or what we were expecting.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating - the pre arrival information was really helpful and meant that we could enjoy our holiday as soon as we arrived 🤩 The sofa wasn’t very comfy but that’s being picky !
