• Tracy (9/5): - Big and spacious, kitchen was really well supplied and possible to cook a full meal. Felt clean and bright. Staff only dealt with online, and that's why I gave only 4 stars, but polite and efficient. We have never slept in a traditional tatami room before, but found it extremely comfortable and cosy. The narrow stairs up to the bedrooms took some getting used to. More like a ladder, so someone with stair mobility issues will find it difficult.

• Vanessa (7/5): Ubicación ideal - La ubicación, muy bien situada en el barrio de Gion. Ideal tener un supermercado autóctono justo delante de casa. La atención con el anfitrión fue excelente! Las escaleras para acceder a los dormitorios no son de lo más cómodo lo que supone dejar las maletas pesadas en la sala de estar. La desventaja de tener el supermercado enfrente es el ruido matutino al abrirlo.

• G_d (9/5): Excellent stay in a lovely house, in a wonderful neighbourhood. An authentic Kyoto experience. - The location of the house was fantastic, a really wonderful neighbourhood to explore, with lots of lovely laneways, shops, restaurants and Kyoto attractions/sites. Was an enjoyable walk each day to the train station and/or main shopping precinct. There was is a lovely little bakery next door, a supermarket across the road, good coffee available nearby and 7 eleven close by too. The house was very nice and was comfortable for my family (5 adults). The host was friendly and responded quickly to messages. Overall, we were very happy with everything. Indoor washing line would have been good and if some tea/coffee was supplied that would have been appreciated. The neighbourhood was a bit noisy in the early hours of the morning (4am - 8am) with local business owners and trucks/deliveries etc
• Jesse (10/5): Exceptional - It's a lovely place in a nice neighborhood. Everything about it is great. The grocery store was nice to have right across the street. The stairs are so steep, like a ship's. It's fine for our group, just intimidating going down. It could be an issue for older folks, but it was an amusing part of the place.
• Matt (8/5): Great “local” neighborhood and a very comfortable home. - The location is great, you get a glimpse at the locals lives. Market across the street is fantastic and interesting. House was clean. We hit a cold spell so it was very chilly in certain areas of the house, especially the. Toilet area! Stairway to bedrooms is narrow and steep.

• Gaspar (10/5): Exceptional - Super cozy, great layout and very clean. The location is perfect just across the street from the supermarket that has everything you need. The host was very accommodating and friendly. We had issues with the departure time and they helped us a lot! Nothing to complain about.

• Guy (9/5): Superb - The location is great, literally right across from a small supermarket, conbini a few blocks away. You can walk to the poppin parts of gion in less than 10 min and across the river into downtown as well. There’s a bus stop on the main road to get to to further destinations. The tatami floor mats + futon were a great touch although my friends opted for the beds. It’s slightly outdated and the stairs are insanely steep but I would stay here again, the location really was ideal. The living room area could be comfier too but I think it’s appropriately priced for what it is.
• Diane (10/5): Wonderful stay! - This home is located in a great location. It was easy to site see and walk to restaurants. The staff answered all of our questions and gave us good recommendations. I would definitely stay here again. The stairs were steep.
• Jamie (10/5): Lovely home away from home - Comfortable, cozy, great location. Well equipped with plenty of room for our family. Near market and bakery for quick meals and snacks. Lovely home and neighborhood to return to after a long day of exploring. Not an issue for us but stairs may be a problem for those with mobility issued
