- Cynthia (10/5): I loved the tranquility of the place, the staff were amazing. The 3 in particular to serve me Esther, Mburu and Karanja - The staff were excellent The rooms need fireplaces
- KARIUKI (3/5): -
- Mutiso (4/5): - Serene environment The wall to wall carpet smelt dump
- Lolukai (10/5): The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable - Our stay at Thayu farm was absolutely wonderful. What really made our stay memorable was the staff, chef Mburu, Ester, Bonnie & Virginia went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
- Josephine (8/5): -
- Carlos (10/5): - Hacia frío, tenía chimenea y el personal súper atento para encendernosla el primer día. Cuando salimos y volvimos el segundo habían limpiado todo perfecto, ordenado todo y repuesto la leña. Perfecto Todo perfecto
- Simon (5/5): -
- Gracey (1/5): Feeling scammed - There's an open field It was such a waste of money, staff gave us no service. They were mia, no towels, no breakfast and we paid. Noone at the desk to check out. I feel scammed. Absolutely would never come back
- Damaris (7/5): - quiet place, beautiful garden .
- Frank (7/5): -
- Gichaga (10/5): I loved it - The ambience and the serenity of the place. Totally worth it Nothing, everything was amazing, specifically this staff Karanja, such a great human, God bless his soul.

- Waithera (7/5): Good -
- Kariuki (9/5): Superb -
- Arjan (7/5): Good - Friendly staff and beautiful garden and great to have a house with an open hearth.
The house was a bit dark and the toilet was not well adjusted to the floor. The shower was in the bath tub and a bit simple. The restaurant was friendly but the breakfast was mainly warm food and we are not used to that.
- Kevin (8/5): Breathtaking views - The breakfast was great. The TV was analog and wasn't functional, but I had carried my BT speaker .
- Josphat (10/5): Perfect,worthwhile - Services
- Linet (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (4/5): Disappointing -
- Dennis (2/5): Way below expectation. - The location was serene. We got to the reception, and there was no one to serve us. After about 10 minutes, we were shown our room. The first thing I noticed was that the dustbin had not been emptied. I wonder if the sheets had been changed.
Later that night, there were a lot of mosquitoes. I called the reception number from my phone since the phone in the room was literally not connected. I asked for a mosquito net only to be handed a can of insecticide spray to spray in the same room we were supposed to sleep in. We had to spray and leave the room for about 30 minutes, and stay out in the limuru cold, since we couldn't sleep in the mosquito-infested room.
The food, story for another day. Drop any expectations.

- Shiru (7/5): It was a restful stay. That is what i was looking forward to! The swing was magical - The food was amazing. Very tasty.
Karanja was a good support through my stay, i really enjoyed the fire he put up. The bed and pillows were not comfortable.
- Tabitha (8/5): Very good - The cottage was beautiful, the fireplace was breathtaking, the location was serene and very accessible from the main road. Barely 45 minutes from the City centre. Meal options were limited.
- Loekie (8/5): Very good - Wonderfull breakfast. Clean rooms and beautifull surroundings No complimentary coffee, tea or water in rooms. Have to buy from restaurant.
- Gichanga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adriana (8/5): Peaceful quiet hotel for a short getaway - The overall area was nice, quiet and peaceful. The family terrace room was very spacious and had 3 needs so definitely can be for a family trip. Beautiful green garden where weddings are hosted at. Hotel nearby a choma restaurant if don’t want to eat at the hotel’s restaurant. Hotel is near Limuru with other activities to explore- gardens, tea farms and more. The receptionist was not around and took about 15 minutes to help us check in. The restaurant staff are very few so took a while to order lunch and then the prices are a little high for the area. Breakfast was only available until 10am in which it’s the same food for all guests. It was a good portion and tasteful.
- Lucy (7/5): Good -
- P (6/5): Beautiful Tigoni - We enjoyed our stay.
The place has good bones, but needs some work.
The staff made us feel welcomed. We also stayed during the week so it was so peaceful.
Location is great, you can easily drive to other spots in the area for lunch and dinners. Mainly the old, backbreaking beds.
- Balraj (8/5): Very good -
- Mbugua (8/5): Nice stay with much calmness - A beautiful place tucked in tea farms of Tigoni.A nice place to unwind in the quietness.
- Goldstein (8/5): Very good - The staff anticipated our needs. It was a good experience. We enjoyed the food brought to us in the room. A relaxed breakfast at restaurant. The fire they built for us was very nice
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- Peris (7/5): Good - the cottages were very clean and had great views of the garden. the staff was very friendly and helpful the food could have been better. most of the stuff on the menu wasn't available so we ended up eating else where..apart from that I loved the place
- Winfred (7/5): farm house - I loved the farm houses. very quiet and beautiful. lots of privacy. they closed the kitchen as early as 8 pm without asking us if we needed dinner
- Isabelle (4/5): Ouuff ☹️ - The fireplace, the calm, the location, the garden. The breakfast was too simple, the pressure of the water was not enough, not enough towels and the soap was poor quality.
- Patrick (5/5): Bringing l Thayu Homes to Hotel Standards. - The receptionist was really good and friendly. The place is quite laid back where one has to go out to seek services.
The ownership) management needs to bring the facility to hotel standards and the charges do not match the services offered. The charges are quite high for such a facility.
- Faustinah (9/5): Superb - The food staff engagement and the room was exceptional. I love it's location too. Beautiful scenery
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Guguni (10/5): Exceptional - Warm, friendly and super helpful people Nothing
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - The room was cozy and comfy, warm for the cold weather. And the staff was very helpful, food was exceptional. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking with fresh air, very peaceful.
- Murakaru (9/5): Will be back - Beautiful place
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Edward (7/5): Good -
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Nzilani (9/5): Worthwhile!😊 - We really loved the neat and well done grounds, amazing views!
Maina at the reception was really really kind and very helpful. Many thanks to him.
Oh we also loved Karanja's fire😊!
- Mwaura (8/5): it was great and peaceful - You can add more items to the meal to give variety and make it more balanced open ground on a rainy season, where the outside seats/ benches are placed
- Musale (9/5): Superb - We arrived for check-in quite late, but the reception staff were incredibly helpful. Unfortunately, due to our late arrival, we missed dinner, but they advised us to book before 6 pm for future reservations. The breakfast the next morning was satisfying. Mr. Maina, the receptionist, kindly gave us a quick tour of the premises. Their grounds are ideal for intimate weddings and events like birthdays, and their buffet choices are reasonably priced.
- Stephen (7/5): Good -
- Issa (9/5): Loved it! - The communication before arrival was good, relevant, and helpful. As usual, Karanja is your guy. Especially if you need the fire in the room lit The food order was not carefully taken. May be the shift change was a hinderance. The food portions, however, are more than enough and the food is good
- Isabella (3/5): Great location, subpar hospitality! - I loved the Manager’s work ethic and ability to engage with the client’s. I loved that he was able to clarify what was available at the facility and what was not.
The meals are great (Depending on the chef). While this facility boasts beautiful greenery, fresh air, and picturesque scenery, I would hesitate to recommend it to anyone until improvements are made to their hospitality services.
For example basic things like showers...the showers are frequently faulty despite sharing feedback. The t staff often fail to deliver client's request eg delivering wrong means or half cooked food. Their rooms are not cleaned nor provided with hot water kettles etc.
Despite the manager's efforts, overall service remains subpar. Additionally, security measures appear to lack coordination for guests staying overnight. This facility has great potential to flourish, but it requires more attentive and dedicated-staff, better coordination, and a stronger commitment to basic hospitality standards.
- Angie (7/5): A quaint beauty - The aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful, the cottage was lovely and the staff were helpful. Daily night fires in the fireplace were a treat thanks to karanja The shower in the cottage was low pressure, and the temperature adjusting of the shower was almost impossible. 😕😕
- Virginia (9/5): Serene and relaxing environment..so peaceful! - The location is perfect..truly home away from home..serene atmosphere, friendly staff .. perfect place to escape and have a breather..so peaceful just like the name "Thayu" Nothing
- Monica (9/5): Superb - Customer care we were attended by Maina who gave us the best brief of the hotel the tour. We ordered dinner which was the best ever, lots of delicious food and fresh and the amount was more than we expected.it was timely Served by ever willing and smiley lady by name Alice.. Garden, night fire and nice staffs even people working around the farm would stop to assist or to see if you need any help.. I hope to visit again and again in the near future

- Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place and amazing garden
- Job (9/5): Superb -
- Charity (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jackline (6/5): Pleasant - Check in took me 30 minutes despite completing the self check in on the portal. I was forced to sit in the lobby for 30 minutes on the night I checked in, it was chilly and I was exhausted. Poor management handover despite calling during the day, confirming my booking and expected check in time
Requested for a Hot water flask at night it was not availed.
Requested for a similar breakfast as on my 1st day, got something completely different without consulting me 1st. Eggs were overcooked & saltless, no vegetables as requested. It was very disappointing especially because I had requested the same breakfast for a colleague who had chronic ailments and was very specific about her diet.
- Ndugire (10/5): Exceptional -

- Jose (8/5): Very good - Just have food variety
- Sophie (7/5): Good - Hotel surrounded by a small farm and gardens.
