Guest Reviews

- sergioflo (10/5): - Pulizia e posizione Nulla

- Lucy (6/5): Not the Hotel Margherita - It was a very strange experience. After booking a room at the Hotel Margherita some four or five days before, we arrived at the address to find the entire place locked up and dark. When we called the phone number provided, the man who answered said he would come to meet us. When he arrived, he said that the Hotel Margherita was closed and that we had to go to his other hotel, the Hotel De Cappuchini instead. So we walked there. It was a completely different hotel from the one we'd booked, but was still within convenient walking distance from the Padre Pio shrine. The hotel was clean and safe, and decent for the cost. The owner gave us the Mass times and let us leave our bags in the lobby for a couple hours while we went to Mass. I wish he hadn't advertised a hotel that was no longer open. It was confusing and stressful to arrive to a locked up place and felt very sketchy, even though it turned out in the end.
The beds were hard, but good for a young person who's trying to save money.
The breakfast was very much just prepackaged food. Very sweet, like most Italian breakfasts, and kind of just random stuff-- toast and jam, some people got muffins, others got cornettos, three different flavors of yogurt were just handed to us, without an option.
The owner did make us cappucchinos though, which was very nice.

State attenti.

- Alessandra (10/5): Ottimo hotel, eccellente rapporto qualità prezzo.

- Wagner Mattos (1/5): Worse travel experience of my life - It's super close to Padre Pio's sanctuary. I would define it more as a circus rather than a hotel.
On the night of my arrival I asked the front desk agent, who spoke very little English, if it would be possible to extend our stay. He then asked to check the availability on the next day.
On the next day morning I went to the front desk where I found 3 people, one of them being the guy from last night, the other guy didn't speak English as well. The third person, a woman, then asked what I needed and I explained that I would need to stay another night and if asked if was possible to extend my stay at the hotel, to what she said: "Yes, no problem". I even asked if the rate would be the same, to what she also said "yes".
Fast forward to the original day in which I was supposed to leave, I was surprised when two people showed up at my door asking me to check out. I then explained the situation, with help of Google translate as none of them spoke English, and they initially understood it and even apologized for the inconvenience.
Not even 10 minutes later they knock again at my door, with a "manager" extremely unpolite and aggressive again asking me to leave. I proceed to explain again the situation, using Google translate as the "manager" also didn't speak any English, but to my astonishment she said that she was the "only woman there" and that no record of my extension existed.
I tried several times to reason with said woman, explained that there were witnesses to the situation, indicated who was the guy who first received my request to extend and was also present at the conversation when the girl said that was OK to stay one more night. None of that resulted, she just showed me a text from Google translate saying: "I NEED YOU TO LEAVE THE ROOM".
She then just refused to hear anything that I said, just being dismissive and keeping asking me to leave.

- Rocco (8/5): Da tornarci - Personale molto accigliente e disponibile. Camera confortevole, pulita e climatizzata.

- Magdalena (7/5): Good - Very close to the Sanctuary The property itself is not a problem but booking.com was hacked and they are scammers sending messages through the booking.com messaging system that inform about need to update credit card details for this hotel. They were trying to get 700$ from my credit card. Luckily the transaction was automatically blocked. I had to cancel my credit card in a foreign country and was left without a good payment method. This is not the only hotel on booking.com sending fraudulent messages and the customer service is slow to do anything about it. Bad for the hotel, super scary for me.
- Berly (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were very helpful and friendly
- Kazibwe (8/5): Very good -
- Bernadette (8/5): Very good - Very friendly and helpful
- Tim (9/5): Ideal !!! - Corina was our savior! She picked up our distress call and clearly directed us (driving) to her house. Super helpful and respectful. Her property is only steps away from the castle entrance and easily access to major arteries .
Highly recommend to visitors.

- Zuzana (10/5): Very good - Friendly staff, flexibility.

- Victor (7/5): Good -
- Cecilia (10/5): Exceptional - Place is very close to the padre pio church (walking distance). Breakfast is continental; the croissants (freshly baked) and coffee were really good. The hosts/staff were accommodating and helped us with our check-in situation. Mike (speaks English) helped arrange for a ride to the bus station. We had dinner at their restaurant and the food was great. We definitely recommend the place. None
- Joseph (10/5): Excellent location and wonderful staff! - Great Value! Very close to the Padre Pio Church. Just a 4 minute walk to the church. Great staff! Perfect Italian style breakfast. Free parking!
- Floriezaida (9/5): Best location! - The location, its walking distance to the churches. The accommodation and it has a restaurant where you can eat also. No aircon since we stayed during hot season.
- Aljaz (3/5): Poor - Everythink is very minimalistic! Tv just that they can say it is tv. No clima!
- Dominik (10/5): Exceptional - Staff is kind and willing to help Lack of air conditioning
FRANCESCO
