Guest Reviews

- Chang Su (10/5): - Good stay in a small town on camino. Clean enough. I liked it
- Oier (8/5): - Acojedor
- Andrew (8/5): - Excellent stay. I would stay there again. Got to see the entire town and even bull running & food festival. Staff were very helpful.
- Lisa (6/5): - The room was barely bigger than the bed. It was a tight squeeze to get from the door into the room and difficult to move around the room. Breakfast was ok, nothing special.
- Patricia (10/5): - Staff was extremely friendly both at check in and during dining. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Food was amazing specially the 🍅 salad.
- Daniela (10/5): - Clear instructions for check in. Clear and comfortable beda
- Agustin Martinez (10/5): - Un sitio encantador perfectamente ubicado.
- Andrew (10/5): Great little hotel - Nice little hotel bang in the centre of town.
Room was small, but clean and tidy and staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The food in the hotel’s restaurant was superb!
- robert (10/5): - Great stay
- Charles (8/5): - This is my second stay at this property when walking the camino frances. The food here is excellent, the only reason to give 4 rather than 5 is that whilst a double room had enough space for me with all that one carries, 3 people with rucksacks would be more than a tight squeeze.
- mica (10/5): - Beautiful old building that has tastefully remodeled interior with very comfortable bed, plenty of hot water with good pressure and a nice restaurant at ground floor. Walking up to the church bells next door was a nice touch.
- Didier (10/5): - Excellente étape. Chambre confortable.
Très bon petit-déjeuner .
Gentillesse de l accueil
- Ian (8/5): - Buena. El baño muy pequeña.
- Annedore (8/5): - Die Aussicht aus dem >Zimmer in den Innenhof.
- Sharon (8/5): - A good place to stay while walking the Camino.
- GEORGEAN (6/5): - This was our only available option in this city for private accommodation on the Camino. The room was surprisingly small. The chair in the corner under the nightstand wasn’t usable. If pulled out it blocked the bed. I needed it to put my backpack on so had to angle it at the corner of the foot of the bed and could barely squeeze past it. I’m not a big person.
My husband wanted to do his pushups in the only usable floor space between the bed and the bathroom. He said it was a bit dusty and dirty on the floor.
The bed itself was clean and comfortable. As tight as it was we made it work for us but would rather stay somewhere else if the need to stay in this city ever arose again.
It took a while to check in. The woman at the desk seemed overworked doing double duty as desk receptionist and server in the dining room.
There was no WiFi in the room and the lobby where WiFi is located had no seating area.
It was our weakest stay out of our first 16 days on the Camino.
- Jorge (10/5): - Muy acogedor
- charles (10/5): - Very nice property. Old European style with small clean rooms. what we loved was just going downstairs to eat and drink. Thr tomato salad was outstanding. The meat was brought out from their in house aging refrigerator. The lamb chops were great. Biggest plus was the staff. Very nice and helpful. I would go back because the overall experience and ambiance was wonderful
- Luis (10/5): - Todo perfecto
- Francesca (10/5): Ottimo hotel - Stanza comoda e molto accogliente
Excelente!!!
- Ruben (10/5): - Hotel Bidean is very well located. It is on the main street and close to Puente la Reina. It keeps Camino pilgrim right on the Camino Frances route. There restaurants and a little store near the Hotel. The restaurant was really busy with customers ordering beer and wine. The restaurant also offered some food items. The room was small but it was clean. It had a fan but no air conditioning which made sleeping uncomfortable because it was a warm night. The wifi was better than other places I have stayed during this Camino de Santiago.
- John (10/5): - Nice
- John (6/5): - The lady at the front desk started to check me in but was more concerned with a bar patron who had short changed her by a Euro! Check-in took 10 minutes or more with many starts and stops, much yelling between waiters, bartender, front desk, bar patrons, etc. It was entertaining to watch but after walking 25 km I just wanted a shower and have a nap! The bed was low and hard and the desk placed immediately inside the door in a narrow hall meant that anyone larger than a five year old would have to turn sideways to get past it and still find it very awkward. While the room was small, it was all I needed. Just ditch the desk and chair!
- Daniel (10/5): Camino retreat - Perfect lication heart of old town right on the camino path
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good stay in convenient section of the city. Room was dated. Ceiling fan was a very nice amenity.
- Diarmaid (10/5): Excellent small hotel. - On the Camino route Good bar and restaurant. Rooms are clean and comfortable and this hotel has a lift that is very useful if suffering from knee problems and you cant use stairs. Walking equipment shop next door and pharmacy down the street.
- Mandi (10/5): - Great little room. Nice staff with good food and drink. They serve food pretty much all day, when other places in town start dinner at 8.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing much was good about this hotel. Perhaps the location as it was on the Camino but I would recommend walking to another hotel.
The staff were unwelcoming, rude and unhelpful. We had walked the Camino all day and arrived thirsty and hungry. We went to the restaurant at the hotel and after waiting 10 minutes we asked the waitress if we could have a menu. She said I’ll be a minute. We asked 3 times for a menu and a couple who arrived 10 minutes after us had drinks, menu and the table laid within minutes. We asked another staff member for a menu and 5 minutes later she returned and threw the menus down on the table and walked off. We walked out at this stage and went to a great bar restaurant down the street, Bar Restaurante La Plaza, and were served immediately by a friendly, helpful waiter. The hotel room was tiny, couldn’t fit an open suitcase on the floor. The bathroom was awful. The shower bracket was broken, making it difficult to shower properly. The bed had clean sheets (bonus!) but no blanket on the bed and a grimy, threadbare bedspread on top. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Suffice to say, a very bad experience. The price we paid was high compared to other places and definitely not good value. Avoid!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The linens on the beds were raveled and the stairs were kind of hard to navigate because they were cluttered with decoration.
- Sara (10/5): Centrally located - Ended up staying two days and I’m glad I chose this spot.
- Anjuli (10/5): Clean, comfortable hotel ~20 min. from Pamplona - The hotel is along an El Camino route, so the guests are respectful and not rowdy. The village is very picturesque with its Romanesque bridge, peaceful church just down the street, pastoral views, and variety of local eateries. The hotel staff were very helpful with check in and providing info about local places to explore and local transit. The room was comfortable and clean. I loved the halftimbered ceiling and Romeo and Juliette balcony overlooking the cobblestone residential street. The food served at the hotel is tasty and a great value. The hotel is an easy 20min. bus ride to Pamplona's central bus station.
