Guest Reviews
- 진우 (2/5): 시설이 낙후되고 부족 (old and poor facilities) - ㄴㄴ 이건 아님
삐걱거리는 침대, 층간소음, 작은 화장실, 등등...
Well... Totally Unsatisfactory with noise from upper deck, sounding bed, small bathroom, poor facilities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This property is located in a quiet area of Queens within easy reach of the subway and laundromats. The hostess is friendly and the accommodation has good privacy.
There is some property stored in the accommodation area, but this does not impede use and was not a concern.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall fine but don’t count on breakfast - Host was friendly and flexible with our check-in time. The stay was overall fine. Neighborhood is quiet and nice, very close to supermarket and couple blocks from the subway. The room you stay in is basically in their downstairs basement. You have to walk through their bonus room to access your bathroom, which was fine since the family remained upstairs during our visit and we didn’t really see them.
I wish the curtains were darker so we didn’t have bright street lights directly in our face while sleeping. It is not a traditional bed and breakfast where the host makes you breakfast everyday. They just stocked the kitchenette with cereal, milk, and ingredients for PB&J sandwiches. This felt a little misleading as we basically had to buy breakfast every day (since they had provided no fruit or anything healthy/filling).
The bathroom was worn with tiles missing, but still totally functional and fine. They have hair dryers, towels, etc.
- gregory (10/5): - Damien was approachable and helpful. Very spacious basement suite with a kitchen but no stove/oven. Only a microwave and full fridge. It was a three block walk to the Metro and we felt safe even at night.
- Verbie (8/5): Good B & B - We enjoyed our stay at Astoria B & B and would definitely stay again. It is located in a neighborhood (a plus for us) away from the action of NYC, but it’s only a short walk to the subway and a few stops on a direct line to Times Square. The space is a downstairs apartment in a home. It includes a bedroom, closet, sitting/dining/kitchen combo, and small but adequate bathroom. The apartment is clean, and the refrigerator and pantry are stocked with basics for breakfast. As we expected, there was no room service which was not a problem though a change of towels once in our four-night stay would have been nice. The wi-fi connection worked well. Overall, a good value for the cost.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Place offered lots of space. Close to subway lines. Nice owners. Overall, a great stay!
- Audra (8/5): - Very pleasant place- slightly crowded in there. But I would definitely stay again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely lovely! Great location, convenient to public transport. Well appointed and the owners are delightfully accommodating. Fully recommend!!
- Elizabeth (10/5): The comforts of home while away - I enjoyed the comforts of home (wifi, kitchen w/breakfast in the cabinets, clean bathroom, and fresh air blowing through the space). The host contacted me the day before my arrival to ask my check-in time, which was helpful. It's a 10-minute walk to the M/R trains, the area is quiet and residential. Great grocery options nearby.
- S (10/5): - Walking distance to the subway line, close to grocery store, quiet, private, cozy.
- S (10/5): Quiet - This was a good place to stay. If you don’t mind hiking to the transit line and riding around, it works very well.
- michael (8/5): Worth what you pay - Its a private house, which made me feel a little uneasy. The parking is challenging. But the owners made up for those inconveniences with their hospitality and not disturbing you. I stayed 2days .Better than average rooms in hotel. If you stay more than 2 days should make sure they change your sheets. Uncomfortable staying in someone hone i don't know. But i rate this a strong 3 star.
