• Siew Ing (10/5): This property is a rare gem and definitely worth staying! - Martin is an excellent host and cook! His breakfast are all homemade and very delicious. When we first check in, the house smells of cinnamon and gives really good vibes. We felt at home immediately and our rooms are comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and very clean too. Parking is free at the property. This property is located on the more peaceful west side of Isle of Skye, away from the crowded and busy Portree, which is on the east side of the island. Truly enjoyed with our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. There are only a total of 5 rooms and is mostly fully booked during the peak season.

Die Deko wird mit viel Liebe ausgesucht und im Haus gibt es immer frische Blumenarrangements. Der Inhaber ist sowas von freundlich und zuvorkommend, man erhält gute Ausflugs- und Dinnertipps. Das Frühstück ist mit so viel liebe zum Detail zubereitet und wir hatten hier die besten Scrambled Eggs unseres Lebens. Absolut alles ist top!

You can really feel that he puts his heart into his work. The entire place is full of thoughtful little details that make it feel warm, cozy and welcoming. At breakfast, Martin even translated the menu into my native language and it even included the day's weather forecast - such thoughtful touches that make the stay even more special. I will definitely come back!

Delightful host, INCREDIBLE (I cannot stress this enough) breakfast, a lot of attention to detail, plenty of useful tips, we had an absolutely wonderful stay, I would recommend this to anyone travelling to Skye (and I would recommend anyone to travel to Skye).

• Sudi (10/5): A beautiful house with all convience and hospitality, feel like home - A very cosy and stylish B&B located in the beautiful Dunvegan. We are welcomed by Charles and taken very good cared by Martin during our stay. Every details are well considered. The breakfast is healthy and delicious with all home made pastry, yogurt, fruit salad… the scramble egg is THE best I had in Scotland. There is also EV charger which i haven’t seen in any other accommodation yet. Bring all the convenience. There is a very helpful website of the place with all detailed information for the area. The thing we love most is that there is a “Honest bar” in the living area, plenty of whisky, wine, beer we can have with self service. We had a great time there every night. If we come to Skye again, we will definitely stay here again, no doubt. 10/10 None

• Florian (10/5): Tolles Haus mit wahnsinnig leckerem Frühstück und mit ganz viel Liebe zum Detail. - Das Roskhill House war ein Highlight auf unserer Rundreise durch Schottland. Das ganze Haus und die einzelnen Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich. Man fühlt sich nicht wie in einem Hotel sondern in seinem eigenen Zuhause. Die Zimmer waren sauber und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Alle benötigten Utensilien sind vorhanden und es steht sogar Tee bereit. Das Frühstück ist extrem lecker und alles vor Ort frisch zubereitet (selbst das Brot wird selber gebacken). Das Essen ist Vegetarisch und auf Wunsch auch Vegan aber selbst für mich als Nicht Vegetarier war es perfekt. Die Lage ist super um die Insel zu erkunden und der Besitzer gibt gerne Ratschläge für die Erkundung ohne Aufdringlich zu sein. Pure Empfehlung!

Spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers. Very quiet location. A scotch bar. Their level of hospitality is a 10/10. Nothing. Maybe the wifi could have been better but who cares.

Es wurde direkt nach Allergenen für das Frühstück gefragt. Super Frühstücksangebot, auch glutenfrei und vegan. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich und stimmig eingerichtet. Alles was man brauchen könnte, steht zur Verfügung. Man fühlt sich gleich wie Zuhause! Mit 2 Heizkörpern kann man die Raumtemperatur passend einstellen.

• Marian (10/5): Best B&B in Scotland! - Roskhill House was our very favorite place we stayed in Scotland. It is a delightful bed and breakfast. Everything about it is charming. The rooms are so comfortable and beautifully decorated, the hosts are so kind and knowledgeable, and the entire B&B smells like something delicious is baking because it always is! I have not stopped thinking about the yummy porridge that I had for breakfast there. It is absolutely the best breakfast that you will have at a B&B. And if you need help planning your day out or figuring out where to have lunch, the hosts will help make sure that you make the most of your time on Skye. We can't wait to go back!

Super nette Gastgeber, alles sehr geschmackvoll, modern und liebevoll eingerichtet. Sehr ruhig, wir haben geschlafen wie Murmeltiere. Und das Frühstück ist der Hammer! Es ist fast unmöglich hier ein Haar in der Suppe zu finden. Für uns war jedenfalls alles perfekt.

The location of Roskhill was relatively central on Skye, which is nice if you want to explore the whole island. The breakfast itself was delicious with quite a few options! The bed wasn’t very comfortable.

Service was lovely rooms were very tastefully appointed and beds very comfortable. Best accommodation in this category that I have ever stayed at. Will be back in October. • Manfred (10/5): Wohlfühloase mit außergewöhnlich hochwertigem und gutem, selbstgemachten Frühstück - Das historische Haus wurde von Martin und Charles rundum renoviert. Unser Zimmer (Doppelzimmer mit kingsize bed) beeindruckt mit Designer-Assecoires, tollen Wandbildern und toller Ausstattung (zB mit eigenem Kühlschrank, wirklich bequemer Sitzgelegenheit und genügend Stauraum für Kleidung und Koffer). Die Gastgeber haben auch den Aufenthaltsraum und den Frühstücksraum funktionell und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. So sind alle Blumen frisch in Vasen schön arrangiert und sorgen für viel Atmosphäre. Das Highlight des Tages ist das Frühstück! Das Buffet ist ein Gaumen- und Augenschmaus! Je nach Wahl wurde von Martin Porridge und Eier in den verschiedensten Variationen, frisch zubereitet. Martin backt dabei neben dem Brot auch diverse Kuchen mit hochwertigsten Zutaten. So stammen die Eier von den eigenen Hühnern. Ich empfehle Cheese-Scones und das Porridgebrot. Er bereitet alles mit Herz und Leidenschaft zu, und das schmeckt man! Die Gastgeber stehen auch gerne mit Tipps für die Tagesgestaltung zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt! Wäre der Weg nicht zu weit, ich würde sofort wiederkommen! Nichts.
• SHEILA (10/5): Exceptional atmosphere & relaxed stay! - Exceptional stay at Roskhill House, everything was superb. The location was secluded, a short driveway, off the main road. Ideal to see Dunvegan & different areas of the Isle of Skye. Martin & Charles complimented each other in their daily running routines of their high standard accommodation. Both were great conversationalists with a lot of knowledge & experiences. Beautiful designed decor & lighting enhanced all areas. No. 5 a ground room, very clean, large area, well appointed with very good facilities. Breakfasts were fantastic, Martin showed his culinary skills, produced daily tasty surprises & lots of choices. Breakfasts to remember! Roskhill House is a highly recommended stay on the Isle of Skye.

• Angela (10/5): Exceptional - The house is slightly outside Dunvegan (which is tiny) so you need to drive out for dinner. However, there was a snug offering wine, beer, whiskey etc and an 'honesty sheet'. Martin was very welcoming, the house is spotless and really well presented. We had a good variety of different teas and coffee and a mini fridge with milk and water. The breakfasts were superb- no meat options - but eggs from Martin's chickens and a great variety of cereals, fruit, and home baked cakes. Definitely a super place to stay.

I could not recommend it highly - Roskhill House is the most beautiful, tastefully decorated and tastefully run Bed and Breakfast. Our hosts Martin and Charles(and Brodie the dog) were warm and welcoming. They were extremely knowledgeable about the area and attractions and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. They woke early to provide us a take away breakfast for our early morning kayaking trip and even did our washing. We are so pleased to have chosen to stay with them. We would love to stay again. There was nothing not to like about this place and our fabulous hosts.

The host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Communication before our trip was seamless — it was easy to get in touch with the host to arrange everything. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, spacious, and comfortable, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The locally sourced butter, eggs, and milk add an extra touch of authenticity and care. The hosts are incredibly attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even more special. The rooms are comfortable and cozy, offering the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Thoughtfully decorated and immaculately clean, they add to the warm, homely atmosphere that makes this place so special. Follow their restaurant recommendations and you won’t regret it—they truly know the best local spots. Whether you’re looking for a cozy dinner or something more adventurous, their suggestions perfectly matched the experience we were hoping for. • Roxanne (10/5): Like the Isle of Skye, Roskill House is distinctive, beautiful and unique. - Martin and Charles have injected their personality and passion into every element of Roskill House- from the wonderful homemade breads and cakes for breakfast to the carefully curated artworks in all rooms and communal spaces; to the whisky honesty bar and their commitment to building sustainable environmental futures. We loved feeling so welcomed and chose the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary and look forward to our return! Nothing.

• Fiona (10/5): Wonderful hosts and a truly memorable experience - We stayed in a twin room at Roskhill House for 2 nights. We had an excellent experience with the hosts doing everything possible to make sure that our stay was truly memorable. The rooms were very cozy and beds just perfect for a very good nights sleep. I have to mention the breakfast as it was really excellent with a variety of homemade options with a differing menu for first and second day. I hope that I will be back sometime and would definitely recommend to my friends and family.
• Deborah (10/5): Wonderful. The perfect retreat on Skye - Absolutely exceptional. The hosts truly went above and beyond, making sure that nothing felt like too much trouble. The quality of the accommodation was outstanding—immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities one could ask for. I would definitely stay here again and can't recommend Roskhill House highly enough

• Louis (10/5): A welcoming and comfortable stay - amazing breakfast - Great stay - and a great base for exploring the island. The owners have taken great care across every aspect of creating a welcoming and comfortable stay - and have great recommendations about what to do/see (and when). The baking is all done in house and makes the place smell amazing! The thoughtfully selected honesty bar is a great touch after long days out. Rescue hens roam around the nearby gardens (and lay your breakfast eggs)! Can’t believe they’ve only been open for two seasons - it feels so well established and smoothly run.
• Jose (10/5): Amazing experience and very good warm service - We had an amazing time during our stay, the house is beautiful , the rooms were very comfortable, clean , well equipped and smelled so nice that we were always happy to go back to the rooms. Breakfast was my favorite because everything was so delicious and delicately cooked and well presented , it was also abundant and had some different options every day. But the best of all was their kindness and attentiveness up to every single detail including giving us recommendations for our trip . Amazing we will definitely come back if we return to Skye. Thanks for everything from the 6 of us .
• Jean (10/5): A wonderful way to start off our vacation in Scotland! - Fantastic vegetarian breakfast that was one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in Scotland. Wonderful hosts. Comfortable rooms. Great selection of whisky in the snug. Fresh farm eggs. Close to Dunvegan Castle and Gardens. No complaints.
• Dawn (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was delicious! Lovely buffet with lots of choices and amazing pastries and other goodies - made to order menu items as well. Honesty bar was a nice touch as well - my husband was excited to try a few new whiskeys. Martin was so kind and gracious - gave us lots of good tips about what to see during our time on Skye. Nothing - everything was fantastic about our stay.

Martin and Charles make all their guest feel at home, the accommodation is cozy and very well appointed, and breakfast is amazing. I highly recommend! Nothing. It was perfect in every way
• Anne (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent & generous breakfast. Very convenient location to the main sites as well as excellent restaurants. Our hosts were charming & very helpful suggesting daily sightseeing & dining options. My only suggestion is a choice of doona be offered - ours was too thick.

Hosts are extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast is very fresh and delicious. Host gave us very good tips for visiting the island. They have a nice little bar with a great choice of whiskey. /

The room was very clean and airy. Beds were very comfortable. Amazing location, only a short drive from hikes and beach. Best guest house I've been too. Loved everything.

The interior is so tasteful & at the same time comfortable/practical. Tips and recommendations for sightseeing etc. were very useful, tnx! The breakfast is very fresh, homemade - even the eggs. - a must visit!
