Guest Reviews
- Hyla (10/5): Will return soon, fabulous family holiday! - The location is stunning with well maintained hiking and cycling paths, excellent Crofts that are comfortable and well-equipped, and fantastic staff. Roads to get there could be better maintained however there has been a great deal of rain lately.
- Findlay (10/5): -
- Vishnu (8/5): Exceptional Experience - The location was incredible, the views were spectacular, the mountains were picturesque, and air was super fresh. The food was great although the menu is a bit limited. The fresh butter, bread and other items were delicious. The directions to the place are not clear. The original advert stated that the location is 11km from dullstroom. If you have a private chopper. The weather warnings and roads need to inform travelers that you need high clearance vehicles.
- Schumyn (10/5): - Beautiful, big house. Beautiful scenery. Stunning view of the mountains and water falls. Beautiful braai facilities. Spacious rooms, each with its own bathroom.
- Dr Rika ( HJ) (9/5): -
- Eloise (7/5): - Emplacement en plein milieu de nulle part ! Déconnexion, pas de tv pas d'internet. Personnel peu accueillant, manque des rideaux au chalet ( n'importe qui peut vous observer la nuit) .
- Anja (9/5): -
- Page (9/5): - I just love the nature. Just what you need to escape the busyness of the city. No complaints.
- CELESTE (9/5): Amazing location, relaxing with a great view. - Beautiful location, 10 sleeper has a great layout. Needs some maintenance in bathrooms. Lighting could be better.
- Sanet (10/5): Exceptional - Magnificent scenery. Tranquility and peace... Lovely hiking trails. Perfect place to escape city life. Star gazing at night was incredible.
- Trent (9/5): First time coming here and I did not expect to stay at our accommodation with such a view! Staff were being friendly. 20 - Situated on the mountain with a stunning view. Nice and spacious! Some lights were a bit dull
- Nelie (3/5): Honey who cleaned our croft where very friendly and helpful. - The mountains, waterfalls, nature and surroundings where unbelievable beautiful. The croft we stayed in was not the same as the pictures on social media. When we went to question where we stayed the marketing manager where very unhelpful with words like "sorry to hear". The photo's showed under cover-braaier but had a fire pit few meters away. Most of the time it was raining and we had meat to braai and potjie-kos.
- Siphiwe (10/5): Love Love Love! - We loved everything about our stay. Perfect place to detach from daily noise, reconnect with nature and recharge.
- Johan (8/5): Very good - The location is beautiful. The fly fishing in the dams is disappointing as not all the dams are stocked with fish and the ones that are, are stocked with very small fish.
- Steve (9/5): Superb - Lacation. Croft, everything was perfect. Beds are small and uncomfortable 🙃
- Allison (8/5): Very good - There are no fans in the Croft.
- Lyn (10/5): Relaxed in srunning scenery - Stunning scenery and very quiet - so easy to relax. We ordered two meals from the restaurant which were delicious. We were not there for the fishing but enjoyed the bird life.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good - Beautiful location, peaceful, amazing views and nature. The staff were lovely and the meals we ordered were so good. A little dark. Nothing else.
- Madubanya (10/5): Exceptional - Everything - the location and facilities were amazing and the staff were exceptional. Hubby, kids and I were simply blown away! Nothing really. The roads were a bit hard to navigate but really nobody's fault. We were met by our own guide who ensured we got to the resort safely. Red carpet treatment all around!
- Van (10/5): Exceptional - I would stay here for a month, in the nature and mountains very beautifull
- Hermann (10/5): Excellent views and time of rest. - Stunning all round scenery. Very quiet. No tech (TV's, Wi-Fi, etc.) in units; Can move about freely and always be in nature. Gravel roads well maintained.
- Shelley (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (10/5): Will be back for sure - breathtaking views, clean space, en suite bathrooms in each bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, safe and secure, great walking trails and fishing spots around.
Beautiful birdlife, monkeys, jackal, genet and eagle owls spotted! Breakfast at the restaurant was a bit of an ordeal for the staff - they seemed a bit overwhelmed by our larger group so things took a bit long, but food was delicious once we got it!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (9/5): Superb -
- Karolina (1/5): Bad -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (10/5): A beautiful place in a tranquil setting - The house was in a spectacular location with beautiful scenery and amazing hiking trails. We will definitely come back here again and stay for a bit longer. If you look for a quiet getaway in a serene setting, this is the place to go. The main lodge is stunning and the breakfast was really good, staff there was very warm and friendly. The cleanliness, I have to say, left a massive space for improvement, though. The bathrooms had been cleaned only very superficially and I found hair and remaining dirt of previous guests all over, in the bathtubs, stuck in the shower door, just everywhere. In fact I had to clean both bathtubs myself before it felt safe to use it. There’s floor runners and rugs in the house and they also hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while. Crockery and cutlery were fine, you could clearly see that the cleaner used the dishwasher which is in the house. So, I am sure that not all houses have these cleanliness issues because it solely depends on the person who cleans, but I would highly recommend that management does it bit more supervision on the cleaning staff.
- Van (9/5): Picturesque scenery allowing a peqcefull and quiet break away from the city - Location and views just spectacular The R36 from Lydenburg was horrendous
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional - The extra charge for the generator
- Kenneth (8/5): Very good - Corrugated roof made for very hot rooms..at least fans are needed
- Nikki (10/5): Amazing views of mountains and scenery. - Self catering services with restaurant at main reception area.
- Elize (10/5): Exceptional -
- Veronica (10/5): Exceptional for a country get away. - Exceptional view. The house was spacious and well designed. We had everything we needed. The staff was exceptional. The food you can order at reception is well prepared and delicious. Highly recommended. We will be back for sure. Far from shops. make sure you do your shopping and take everything with you. They do sell some meals at reception which is very tasty but not alcohol or wine if you run out.
- Elize (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (8/5): Beautiful and relaxing long weekend with the family. - Fabulous beautiful location. The crofts all are very private with a lovely views. The meals ordered from the FOODSPACE were delicious. Think the Hiking maps could be better as well as the signs along on the path.
- Susan (9/5): IT WAS AWESOME, GREAT TIME WITH GREAT FRIENDS -
- Willie (9/5): Superb -
- Tammy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Albert (8/5): Very good - its 100km from
Dullstroom. On bookings.com it shows only 17km. Very far from, and a very bad gravel road. Make sure you know were they are located.
- Johannes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (9/5): Superb - Loved the onsuite bathrooms, the restaurant and the waterfalls on the hikes we had, so restful. We will definitely be back!
- Lee-ann (9/5): We would highly recommend Verlorenkloof. It is beautiful and peaceful, a great holiday destination. - The Foodspace serves amazing meals and has a great selection of items for sale. The staff are friendly. The facilities are well maintained. Great hiking and cycling. The signage from the main road could be better.
- Marietjie (8/5): Very good -
- Scheidegger (9/5): Superb -
- Ettienne (9/5): Superb -
- Tshifhiwa (10/5): breathtaking - a mountain to call your own nothing
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (8/5): Very good - The location is absolutely stunning and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were able to relax and catch up with family in a well appointed unit which comfortably catered for 10 people. We enjoyed the fly fishing, walking and taking a horse ride on the breathtaking grounds. All in all a very memorable stay. We hope to return to this gem.
- Bryan (9/5): Superb -
