• Jana (8/5): Nice place - Beautiful accommodation with a sunny garden. Room was spacious with a good shower. I did not eat dinner but heard it was good. Nice community spaces inside and outside. The room was too cold and the bed really uncomfortable, I’m afraid. The town was not too inspiring.

• Sonia (9/5): Nice rustic stay on the Camino. - Booked a twin room for 2 and got a triple twin room. Nice common area and beautiful outside area. Fast internet. No circulation in room on a cold wet day. Pricier than other private rooms on Camino.

• Cornelis (6/5): Een echte camino sfeer - De inrichting van de gemeenschappelijke ruimtes was heel leuk. Het gezamenlijke diner was leuk georganiseerd en smaakte prima. Na een lange dag lopen is een douche die alleen koud water gaf niet lekker. Misschien geen probleem als het boven de 30 graden is, maar het was toevallig een koude weeK. Het bed heeft een voetenbord. Voor heel lange mensen nooit prettig, maar de matras was gelukkig prima.

• Torres (6/5): - La limpieza. Que no hay ningún ruido por la noche, ni se oye nada. La amabilidad de los empleados y de la dueña. A 15 min. de León. Las camas cómodas y Limpias. La habitación no tiene nada al ser un Albergue de Peregrinos a las 20h ya no se puede hacer ruido. No tiene ni TV. Ni barandillas en la litera por lo que es peligroso para niños que no estén acostumbradas a ellas. Solo para dormir muy bien eso si.

• John (7/5): Relaxing and having a few drinks - Great location right on the Camino, welcoming host. Dinner available on site . There is a bar on site and a lovely garden to enjoy drinks and food from the outdoor grill. Room was a little dark but that is being very picky.

• Marco (5/5): Für eine Nacht akzeptabel. - Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Lage auch super. Das Zimmer war sehr kühl und an der Decke im der Ecke war ein Schimmelfleck. Wir wollten uns nachmittags in den schönen, grünen Garten setzen. Er war aber leider abgeschlossen. Die Dame am Empfang war leider auch nicht so freundlich.

The hostess, Kelly, is charming and does all she can to make her guests happy, including an always great group dinner .The location is great primarily because it’s only 12 km walk to the Catedral in Santiago. I have been here many times on previous Caminos and highly recommend it.

L'ensemble de l'hébergement : deco , chambre triple spacieuse avec sdb et wc,possibilite de manger et de boire un verre à l'extérieur ds un jardin charmant. De plus , l'hotesse a été compatissante lorsqu' au moment de partir le matin , je ne me suis pas sentie bien .Elle a mis a ma disposition un.lit ds le dortoir pour me refaire une santé. Elle a téléphoné à un taxi pour M'amener à mon.point de chute. Vraiment un immense merci à elle !!!!!j'ai pu finir ainsi mon chemin de compostelle grâce à sa bienveillance !!! Merci merci !!!!!! Rien

• Susan (6/5): Wir werden wohl nicht wieder kommen - Der Checkin war sehr freundlich, leider kippte die Stimmung im laufe des Tages- zum Abendessen war wenig Herzlichkeit- wir Pilger fühlten uns nicht willkommen- das Essen wurde auf den Tisch „geknallt“ und selbst wenn es ein Pilgermenü ist, kann ma es liebevoll anrichten und servieren…geschmacklich ein Reinfall, leider! Der Ort an sich ist schön, die Betten jedoch unbequem (die Federn drückten bereits durch). Dieser Ort war jedoch sehr ruhig und bietet einen Waschplatz - die Waschbecken waren leider auch sehr schmutzig. Insgesamt sehr schade. Matratzen dürfen mal ausgetauscht werden

Large area for laundry and drying . Dinner was good . The floor of the shower stall could have used a good scrub.

• Larry (10/5): One of the best Albergue on the Camino. - As pilgrims walking the Camino, everything about Albergue San Pelayo was top notch. Husband and wife run the operation and go above and beyond to make sure your stay is the best it can be. Beautifully kept courtyard as well as everything inside, delicious home cooked pilgrims dinner. Breakfast is typical Spanish style of toast and jams, coffee and pastries. Room was clean and fresh. Would stay here again. No complaints

• Edy (10/5): Solo Camino - It was very rustic homey. Had a fireplace going in a sitting area, which was nice because people were coming in cold. The communal dinner was meh, but fun with everyone. Room was just OK. I gave it a 10 because it was typical pilgrim. The cat greeter was GREAT. And whoever checked me in was AWESOME getting me a taxi for the next morning. My room was cold. But I am guessing in a typical year it would not have been cold out.

The establishment had a homely appeal with many places to sit and relax . The food was excellent. The one short coming was the smell in the bathroom area. It is an issue we have noticed in other older European establishments.
