• Alessandro (10/5): - È sempre un grande piacere per me tornare all'Antica Stazione. Soggiorno periodicamente già da diversi anni per lavoro e trovo sempre l'ambiente accogliente che ho trovato la prima volta, la grande cortesia e disponibilità di tutto il personale e la cucina spettacolare del loro ristorante. La qualità della materia prima e l'eccellenza nella preparazione dei piatti sia di terra che di mare mi lascia sempre molto stupito. Non meno rilevanti i dolci, totalmente fatti in casa, uno più buono dell'altro. L'hotel inoltre è immerso nella natura in una zona poco distante da Chiaramonte, quindi la qualità del sonno è impagabile. Letti e cuscini comodissimi (cosa sempre più rara per me che giro l'Italia per lavoro). Complimenti sempre.

Un parking gratuit pour la voiture, très important car en sicile ce n’est pas toujours le cas. Petit déjeuner un peu juste en choix, j'aurais bien aimé le l'omelette car la viennoiserie est trop présente à mon goût. Très bonne étape, je recommande. Le cadre de l'établissement m'a beaucoup plu, au calme.

Lontana dal centro abitato, nessuna musica o rumore molesti, solo le piacevoli cicale estive e qualche mucca al di là della recinzione. Siamo stati con le bambine, che hanno apprezzato tantissimo la piscina. Torneremo sicuramente!

• Alan (8/5): Pleasant for an overnight stay. - The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine It is located about 3kms from Chiaramonte Gulfi and has no surrounding facilities, so to access the town you need to drive as it is not in walking distance.

Starting with the staff, they are very friendly, kind and always smiling. Ready to assist in anything that we required. Facilities are very good, and the area and surroundings are amazing. Good food, and an excellent restaurant. A very relaxing and unforgetable holiday. Thank you. Although I cannot complain, but For breakfast I would have preferred also a small choice of vegetables to complement the already other good food offered.
• Claire (10/5): Wonderful hotel - would recommend to couples and to families. - Exceptional hotel! Quiet, comfortable, clean with friendly staff and delicious meals. A welcome respite from touring cities and beaches in the intense Sicilian heat. We visited Ragusa and Chiaramonte Gulfi, relaxed at the beautiful pool and hiked in the nearly hillside trails. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days here and wished we could stay longer. I liked everything!
• Frederik (10/5): Exceptional - A very beautiful family-run hotel in a building that used to be a train station on a mountain. The room we had was very clean, spacious and well equipped. There is also a restaurant with great Italian food and wine. But what made the stay so special was the friendliness of the staff. It is rare to experience this level of helpfulness at a hotel for such a fair price.

The bar of the pool does not work properly, so it useless a nice pool…so much so we did not want to stay there more than 2 days. They care more about the restaurante than the hotel.

Restaurant on site offers delicious food too. Stylish property. Parking available on site. Comfortable rooms and Great value for money.

• willbaby (10/5): Excellent value with a fist class restaurant. - This hotel offers more than one would normally expect. Family run and very proud of what they have achieved they are on hand 24/7 to offer all sorts of advice and never too busy for a friendly chat. The building itself is steeped in Chiaramonte history, up to the 50s it was still a train station, luckily many of the features have been incorporated in the hotel. The food is nothing short of excellent, and I am a horrible food critic, both the breakfast and dinner had variety, freshness and quality. Lots of local dishes on the menu but again they are happy to oblige with requests. I asked for tirimasu The rooms are spacious, comfortable bed and good size shower. The pool is fabulous, well kept with a large shallow pool for children and a jacuzzi, sun beds sit on a lawn with trees and plants all round which makes such a difference from the usual tiles. it really is a very special set up. All in all ANTICA STAZIONE is definitely well worth a stay. Close to Ragusa and the old town of Chiaramonte Gulfi it is well placed surrounded by the most beautiful scenery. I have to mention Simona who actually speaks perfect English or she wont feed us tonight and she keeps trying to see what i am writing. But really she is a STAR who has endless energy as she handles every aspect of the hotel. Thank you to ALL the family for making our stay so memorable. We will be back.
• claudef492 (6/5): A Quaint Little Place but Affords Everything. - It is in quite a cut-off place not far from the Chiaramonte Gulfi Village. You would need a car to get around. However it is a place full of peace and quite. We went there as a group of thirteen and were given the best service that anybody would dream of even for a stickler like me. The owners are simply the best hosts that one could encounter, actively involving themselves in all the organisational requirements we asked of them. Unfortunately, and it seems only in my case, the room, although having acceptable decor with a comfortable bed and a nice view overlooking the Park/Garden entrance, was decidedly too small causing me a fair amount of distress. My friends all had large rooms. In my case the bathroom was so small that two of us could not enter it unless doing Limbo Rock gymnastics. Besides, the cleanliness and general room service was lacking. Other major minus is communication and T.V. Forget getting the latest news on Bloomberg or BBC. You simply have one channel - RAI Uno - that seems to just make it. My wife and I understand Italian perfectly but not much good to travellers who don't. That was a blessing even to follow the weather, that is if you manage to get the contraption working because you need to have plenty and plenty of patience. And after all this, the screen is about the size of that of a large notebook. WiFi and Data Roaming are so weak most of the time it is nonexistent . Forgetting these major setbacks the Restaurant was good (in spite of a slow service and rather skimpy breakfast) and adding to that the hospitality I very much recommend this place for a peaceful interlude in the South east of Sicily to visit the Ragusano and Val di Noto. A big thanks to Elga and Gabriele for making this happen and without whose help (even to try and accomodate our breakfast requirements) we would not have been so well looked after.
• taniafarrugia (8/5): A relaxing spot in the province of Ragusa - This hotel is relaxing and quiet. Just a few rooms in the middle of nowhere only a few minutes from the small town of Chiaramonte Gulfi, but with a restaurant, pool and sofa area at reception. You need a car but the expense is totally worth it to explore the beautiful countryside and little restaurants tucked away in tiny villages.
