• Martin (10/5): Perfect location to relax with a group of friends and enjoy the coastal living of Gansbaai - The house is perfectly located close to the beach with amazing views. The house is spacious and well kitted out for enjoying some sport on the TV, having a braai or relaxing on the verandah or in the heated plunge pool. There are amazing beach walks that start just across the road that are well worth the effort. There is a small bay close by for those that are happy to brave the cold sea water.

• Juan Rossoue (10/5): Luxurious stay - Location and amenities. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, ice maker and everything needed for self catering. Heated plunge pool. We were very pleased. We liked everything!

• Adrien (8/5): Amazing Views, clean rooms, beautiful location. - Amazing Views, some of the rooms are spacious and have the best ocean views. Some of the rooms however are a bit hit and miss. Easy Access to Ocean. Great Kitchen facilitites, warm pool, and we found as a group of friends it was a good space to connect, and hang out. WIFI is really not great.
• Stephen (9/5): As always, a wonderful stay - We have been visiting Whale Waters for over 10 years. The house continues to be outstanding and lacking very little. High quality in all areas regarding furnishings, equipment and utensils. A beautiful site with 180 degree view of the ocean. Hosts are friendly and welcoming. On a personal and nit picking level there is no longer DSTV or tv in the bedrooms. We do understand that this is purely a personal view as the house more than makes up in facilities and location.

Open floor plans, large windows to maximize views, and seamless indoor-outdoor living spaces. Well equipped kitchen, heated pool, indoor BBQ etc. Absolutely nothing - the place was perfect
• Debbie (8/5): Honest Review - It is in an excellent location. Beautiful views. Enough accommodation for a large family get together. Beds are very comfortable. Inside Braai worked well. Well equipped kitchen. would book it again if the small problems get sorted. The shower heads and water pressure in the downstairs rooms is not good. they have a problem with drainage...and we had a bad smell most of the weekend. the small pool on the deck never heated up, so very disappointing not being able to use it. The towels are old, thin and small. they need to be replaced. some had holes in. the oven didn't close properly and had to be sorted out on Saturday morning.

• Brigitte (8/5): Very good - Beautiful sea views. The large & spacious bedrooms Massive space - FANTASTIC LOCATION Not a fan of carpets in bedrooms, due to sinus issues. Would've liked some games to be available on sight - eg. Pool table etc.

Living space and verandas!! Ice machine!! Splash pool!! The views over the ocean!! Splash pool too cold... consider a more effective heating system? Even if it would come at voluntary extra daily cost...

• Ayesha (10/5): Perfect family vacation - highly recommend a stay here - Beautiful location, able to see the whales from the bedroom windows. Well designed. Each room was extremely comfortable, bathrooms were well finished. Spacious kitchen and dining area. Common room and braai space was perfect for a family or friends travelling together. Provisions to account for Loadshedding. All together perfect. Host/care taker were extremely attentive without being obtrusive. With the storm and floods we were locked into de Kelders for an unplanned extra day, they went out of their way to accommodate us and make the extra day comfortable even though the power outage and shortages were not in their control — cannot say a big enough Thank You! Loved everything - definitely a place I would love to return to

The living room, dining room, middle and top level bedrooms have beautiful sea views. The kitchen is very well equipped. We loved our stay at Whale Waters Self Catering lodge!
• Seetoh (7/5): A dated average property made great by an excellent property manager who took care of her guests. - An average property made great by an excellent host. She basically works for the owner who does not live on-site, The property agent met us on-site and constantly communicated with us. No fuss. The location is at the end of a quiet street facing the sea and a swimming area. Lots of security devices so safety is not an issue but would have preferred my neighbors are in. The property itself is as advertised but the photos do not show its age. The design and layout are of a different era of grand properties. The rooms are large and we could not use them all. Utensils are quite dated but usable. You will notice the poorly laid-out sink in the main hall which makes it difficult to really cook. As I said it was designed for an era when you leave it to your servants to do all the cooking and washing. If the owner is willing to spend some money to refit the whole property and it will be a fabulous property

Well equipped with amenities ensuring that you don't need to leave the house. Will definitely be back! Windows were not clean. Would have been nice to get a clear view of the ocean from inside.
