- Andrew (10/5): - This is a unique place to stay. It is a very old building with lots of character - our room had wooden beams! The breakfast is given to you in a basket and you eat it in your room. The receptionist was so polite and friendly and so helpful with recommendations. The hotel is ideally situated only minutes away from the city centre. The city took us by surprise - it is stunning! You can park on site but you have to pay €20 but it is worth it for peace of mind.

Scalding water temperature; continuously leaking bathroom faucet; bathtub with a sign -not for use; peeling ‘leather’ couch with a too small cover to hide the condition. WIFI was not operable for more than 24 hours. Indifferent staff.
- laurent (4/5): Pas 5 étoiles - Ce qui crée d' emblée surprise et décéption. Un immeuble de charme transformé en appart'hôtel. Un bric à brac dès la réception et dans le hall de l' immeuble Rénovation qui a très mal vieilli, un canapé complètement déchiré recouvert d'un triste plaid gris, un réfrigérateur rouillé sur lequel est posé une cafetetière pour cacher la misère, une installation éléctrique pas très rassurante, des carreaux crasseux, un lit oú il faut grimper en bout de lit car pas la place sur le côtés.... bref vous avez compris. Par contre c'est propre, la literie est confortable et l'appartement bien situé dans Troyes. Nous ne reviendrons pas.

We missed the welcome of the owner, and we were not amused the the breakfast was served the evening before, while it was very warm outside. So old bread and melted cheese. We’ll come back when the owner is present!

- Galina (10/5): - We had an amazing stay in this lovely hotel. So quirky and full of character. Beds - amazing, best sleep ever. Walkable everywhere in Troyes old town, plenty of restaurants and cafes on your door step, grocery shop 5 min walk away. Lovely owners and housekeeping girls. Will definitely stay again as we are in this area often visiting my husband’s family. Definitely recommend!
- Verified traveler (4/5): passe ton chemin - la chambre est très mal agenacée, la salle de douche un vrai frigo, la température et le débit de la douche change tout le temps, on passe du froid au brûlant en 15 secondes, les toilettes, très étroites, permettent d'éviter de glisser sur la lunette des toilettes qui glisse sur la cuvette..., marrant mais une chambre sinistre. lumières allumées dans la cour toute la nuit, bruits de passage de voitures. Je recommande d'éviter.

- Verified traveler (4/5): rustic apartment with some flaws - We were disappointed when we were standing in front of the gate in the rain and there was no one to open the gate and no one answered the phone. The area around the hotel doesnt feel safe so we didnt enjoy the wait outside. The apartment was adequate in its function but spotty here and there. Not to recommend.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Naja… - Leider war der ganze Eingang der Wohnung mit Tauben Kacke übersäht. Man hat alles reingetragen. Bei der Ankunft wird kurz vorher eine SMS geschickt wann wir ankommen…wenn man im Auto ist am fahren kann man nicht antworten und wartet dann vor geschlossener Türe. Niemand am Empfang wenn man geht, die Schlüssel lässt man dann blind im Zimmer. Positives : gute Lage. Alles zu Fuß in Kürze erreichbar.

Le point le plus gênant : un isolation phonique inexistante qui nous a valu un réveil à 4.00 lorsque nos jeunes voisins sont rentrés de soirée. Un point positif la dedans : très bonne literie !

Friendly receptionist and owner who texted me directly with check-in info when arriving after reception was closed that night. Slept really good in the bedroom, almost too good 😇😅 Also a nice set of utilities in the kitchen incl. real oven which is rare on similar hotels, but it's really nice to have when cooking your own meals when travelling ☺️ Will stay again when visiting Troyes next time. ☺️
- karim (6/5): Beaucoup de cachet, mais pas en saison hivernal - J'y ai séjourné fin novembre, il y faisait très froid, pas de chauffage dans la sdb et propreté des sanitaires à revoir, pensez à réserver votre parking sinon cela sera compliqué. Les volets ou rideaux ne sont pas tous fonctionnels. Hôtel avec beaucoup de charme, très bien situé mais j'y ai eu particulièrement froid.

- Peter (2/5): - Having had your booking confirmation we got there at about 7pm and found it closed. A telephone call established that no room was available so we had to find with considerable difficulty a smaller room at twice the price. No explanation was given for the muddle.

Since the other hotel was not at all the quality of the original booking we declined the offer. The hotel would not refund the original nights fee. Disappointed the entire experience

- Luke (8/5): Inconvenient Thunderstorm - We arrived at the hotel in a thunderstorm, so after 10.5 hours worth of driving it did taint the experience slightly. It said it had hotel parking but I wasn’t aware there was a charge for this until I arrived. They didn’t have space (I didn’t anticipate that as being an issue but luckily parked 5 mins away. Like I said, if it was a thunderstorm it would have been so bad but we all got soaked through. If you are looking for a quirky hotel then this one in for you. Not modern at all but rather in keeping with the area. Family run hotel and the owners were very nice.
- Claudia (4/5): - Way overpriced. Place is not maintained. Pictures did not match the actual state of the place. Towels were looking old, wrinkly and not well presented. Curtains are broken and tangling down. Light in the bedroom was not working. Toilet flush running endlessly loud. Fridge in the seating room was loud for someone to sleep in the room. The shower was broken, dirty and not clean. The lodging was listed with parking, however had to pay quite high price which was not mentioned in the details. The reception was full of stuff like cardboards, bikes, etc…We saw a marten hiding next to the car. And while paying for parking an investment in keeping them away from the cars should be made.
- Phil (10/5): - The hotel is a bit funky but very charming and comfortable. Our suite was large and had a private outdoor terrace which was lovely. Troyes is a marvelous place and the hotel is convenient to the train and city center
- Steven (2/5): Awful, please read and look at pictures - Room was awful, tiny, bathroom dirty, not a proper AC unit, very old noisy. Blood stain on hand towel. No smoke alarms which I think is against French law. Talked into breakfast by owner, again absolutely awful, basket left outside room. Advertised as a 5 star hotel, not an official rating, more like 2 star. Requested milk to make some tea, never happened. Please look a pictures.

- Isabelle (4/5): Hôtel charmant mais… coût supplémentaire indus!!! - L hôtel est plutôt charmant et bien situé dans Troyes. La literie est de bonne qualité. En revanche… attention!!! Il y a quelques pièges!!! Nous avons réservé la chambre avec un grand lit et un canapé lit. Il nous en a coûté 30€ de plus que le tarif affiché par personne et par nuit. L hôtel considère que la chambre est pour un personne!!! La cour privative qui avait attiré notre attention n est presque pas utilisable compte tenu des pigeons qui volent au dessus de nos têtes sans compter les déjections… moins sympa du coup… Dans la chambre, la lunette des toilettes est cassée, le pare douche a disparu ce qui donne une salle de bain piscine et glissante. Tout est désinfecté avec des litres d eau de javel au point d en être incommodant. Avis aux allergiques! Nous ne conseillons donc pas cet hôtel qui a un certain charme et dont les petits travaux à faire sont finalement… pas trop grave. En revanche, le surcoût injustifié et l absence d écoute de l hôtel nous donne l impression de nous etre fait avoir. Le coût à la nuit devient donc très excessif vs les service proposé.
- Minah (6/5): - There is no door in the bathroom, there is a strong smell in the bathroom, and can hear from the next room due to not good quality construction. There is no soap and the parking is very small. And all the towels are super olds😭

- Deborah (6/5): - Good location and quirky room, but shower room lacked privacy - frosted windows only went up so far and the hotel rooms opposite looked straight in. Room had lots of rather dated furniture and the layout was problematic- only 6 inch space to get around the bed to the bathroom but room was deemed accessible. Bed clothes were so rough they irritated our skin. Breakfast was pricey but came as a basket of products which we then used as a v nice picnic lunch.
- ALAIN (10/5): Historique ! - Très bel endroit, bien situé près du centre historique. Grande chambre en duplex sous les toits, avec coin cuisine. Lieu original, accueil sympathique. Seul petit problème, mon petit déjeuner commandé et payé la veille, et oublié la matin, entraînant une demi-heure de retard.

- Guillaume (8/5): Satisfait avec de petits désagréments - Le séjour c’est superbement bien passé. Le seul hic que je pourrai trouver, c’est le peu (un seul) de radiateur. La porte laisse passer le froid donc il faut mettre le petit radiateur vraiment fort pour avoir une température convenable. Également j’ai réservé pour deux et il n’y a qu’une tasse et pas de bol pour le petit déjeuner. Hormis c’est quelques points resolvable facilement tout de même, rien à signaler.

- Jake (4/5): - The receptionist was very friendly. Good size rooms and comfortable beds. Property was a little too rustic for my liking, although my daughters liked the style very much, so possibly a matter of taste. The showers exposed in the room was not very practical. And small amount of on site parking not ideal as this meant we had to park quite a walk away when we arrived late at night. However, my abiding memory of the hotel will be the nail standing up out of the floor that I stood on and cut my foot.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable but pricey - The Hotel is in a wonderful old building and has been well converted. The bathroom was excellent - shower but no bath. The property is overpriced and EUR 20 for squeezing our car into the tiny courtyard was definitely excessive. Breakfast was good, but more fruit than a nectarine each would have been appreciated.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Interesting property needs a few tweaks - This property is definitely interesting. A good place to stay if you want more than just a typical rectangular hotel room and you need more space. It could fairly be called 'a charming botique hotel' - - but it is doubtful it really qualifies as 5 star. Some aspects are 4 star --the bed was good, so was other furniture, but there was no bedding for the sofa bed and a few other kinks here and there as well. The 'air conditioning' is not close to 4 stars. We've been in similar rooms where a portable air conditioner did a better job than this one. It could use an upgrade. Other parts of your rooms may not have A/C. They should at least be equipped with fans as this restored old structure seems to absorb heat on hot days. It's a decent property but would do better not to market as 5 star and call it what it is - -a good value historic property that could pass for 4 stars with a few key changes.
- Philip (6/5): Disappointing stay in Troyes - Atmospheric appartement hôtel in central Troyes. Very handy for the old town. Room we had was tired, very dark with non-existant WiFi. A little dirty around the room with marks and stains throughout. Needs a little TLC to bring it anywhere close to the five star property it claims to be. It's three stars at best.

- Caroline (10/5): lovely quirky hotel. - This is a great place to stay in to discover Troyes. We booked an apartment and were upgraded to a larger one for free. We were warmly welcomed by English speaking staff. The room has everything you could need, large bathroom (good shower) well stocked kitchenette. Bed was very comfortable and there was a good Bluetooth speaker. would go back.

- Peter (10/5): Beautiful old hotel in the heart of the town. - In the heart of this lovely old town. Very unusual and well updated boutique hotel using old materials. Limited parking on site and a possible challenge if you have a large vehicle. Charge of €20 for the overnight stay the only negative comment.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Dont sleep on Troyes, except for this hotel. - The Saint-Georges was a great surprise on our recent trip. Troyes is rich in history with a great walkable historical center. Our modern and newly-renovated room was off a beautiful courtyard. Wish we had stayed longer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s a beautiful place, and highly recommended- 2nd time here as staff are superb and very welcoming. Unfortunately this time there were no available car parking spaces in the courtyard when we arrived, so we had to park in the public open car park close by. We had already had our window smashed during the visit near Nice so very concerned to leave a foreign car on the street with all our belongings - so recommend you to confirm the car parking when you book. It is a very peaceful place within 2 minutes walk to the lovely centre of Troyes.

- Andrew (6/5): Disappointed - Good location , friendly welcome , but the facilities simply aren't as they should be in this price bracket . Lighting in the bathroom flashed on and off and the shower screen pretty grubby around the floor . The bed fits the room with 10 cms each side so unless you are prepared to climb into it from the bottom , don't bother . The advertised A/C is in fact a noisy mobile unit in the lounge , not the bedroom where it was needed . On a hot night and for 143 Euro I slept with our bemused dog on the floor of the lounge . You can't open the entry door to the room and bedroom door at the same time . Quirky ? Yes . Value for money ? No .

- Angela (10/5): Perfect for city break with a dog - This charming hotel has bags of character and great facilities. The courtyard rooms are ideal for us as we travel with our dog. The hotel is situated within five minutes of a dog park, a great cafe for breakfast and the Ruelle des Chats which has great bars and restaurants. Perfect for an overnight stop or longer stay.

Well appointed rooms, lovely breakfast option and great location in the old town but just away from the tourist bustle. A slightly leaky shower can be forgiven for such an old building.

- Donald (4/5): Don’t choose the attic room. - The hotel seems to be a nice place to stay. Unfortunately my room was in the attic and completely impractical. The slope of the ceiling was such that I had to pull my bed away from the wall each night to allow me to use the full length of the bed. Despite not being able to sit up in bed the tv was set for viewing at the base of the bed. To use the toilet in the very small bathroom I had to stand with my head in the dormer window.
- Christine (8/5): - This apartment is in a wonderful position to enjoy Troyes. Parking is tricking as it street parking. It looks as good in real life as in pictures. Breakfast provided was good. HOWEVER....lake of a consistent water supply for showering is a major negative. If this is addressed your stay would be perfect

- travel explorer (10/5): A gem of a hotel in the heart of the old city - Modern hotel suites embedded in historical setting being high comfort lodging while enjoying the experience of being taken back in time. Our bedroom opened on the charming inside courtyard. Pierre the owner of the hotel has thought every details : motion sensing lights and water taps, a kitchenette with cooktop, microwave, and fridge, and water kettle, satellite TV and WiFi. Breakfast is opulent and tasty. A gem of a place.
