Horrible at hygiene and didn't honor the booking.com breakfast add-on. - Rooftop Restaurant: This is perhaps only the only relatively decent thing about this property. The view of the lake Pichola is good (not great) and the weekend live band was ok. The food was also ok. A bit bland for me though and lacked flavor. Room: The room had a stale air smell as I walked in. The room is quite rundown compared to the photos I saw on booking.com. The polish around the door frame, cabinet, small fridge, and side table of the bed was all worn out. The electric kettle was rusted inside and there was a little layer of dust on the table. The bed was just scary. The bedsheet/linen was not white but grey. The pillow covers clearly had oil marks on them. On removing the duvet somewhat the hole in the bedsheet was right there and after removing the cover there were even liquid stains (not tea/coffee ones, if you know what I mean). There were ink marks on it and on the side, the bedsheet wasn't tucked in. Why? Because it was too small to cover the mattress. The other side even had black marks on it. (photos for all attached). The floor too had a layer of dust on it. Bathroom: The wash basin tap was rusted and so was the pipe for the WC spray gun (like really rusted) and the pressure was good enough to wash a car. The tap that controls the pressure was so rusted that you could only dare to touch it with some toilet paper and not directly. The toilet paper roll was at 20% and was a used one kept there. We didn't get another one till 24 hours later (with 4 reminders and subsequent assurances). The tap in the shower area too was rusted and a bucket and a scrappy mug were kept on the side. The WC was dirty and it was evident that no one even bothered to clean it before we checked in. The flush had a mind of its own. It would not stop, so you could constantly hear the water flowing at a steady rate for hours. The towels were also rundown and grey in color by now and had a stale smell to them.

- Rohit (10/5): best service good people and beautiful view also easy approach to the local market and lakes - it’s was a very pleasant stay, ankit helped a lot and was very helpful he’s manager there. the food was very homely and the rooftop had beautiful view l, since driving car in Udaipur is very hard due to narrow lanes ankit guided me to rent a scooter that was one of the best decision. living in USA and having no idea what to see in udai our ankit again stayed in touch and even helped me setup my gps to reach my destination. overall best experience did not find any

- Saurav (2/5): - After seeing good review, I booked this hotel but by mistake I booked 2 rooms for our family of three (husband, wife, kid). I requested both Hotel.com and Viaan management to kindly consider cancelling one reservation but they didn’t as it was under non refundable policy. Fair enough. They upgraded my room and added breakfast in lieu of the other room and we stayed in one room only. About the room - so called super deluxe was leaking and rain water coming through sides of closed window. Each of the staff hotel made sure that they make us feel that they have obliged us by giving complimentary breakfast to the extent that they denied giving any breakfast to my kid (who asked for a cheese sandwich). One word for the whole management - Pathetic ! PS - this is not a rant, that I lost money on double booking but the behaviour of the staff after that was very bad. I strongly recommend not to choose this hotel as it would only spoil the mood of ur stay.
