• Mark (10/5): Absolutely Perfect - this is where you should stay if coming to Venice - The location of the hotel is perfect to be able to sit beside the canal and watch the world go by without the the hustle and bustle of the main square and surrounding areas. The staff could not have done more to make us feel looked after and to maximise our 5 day stay with them. They continuously went above and beyond other make our stay perfect and us feel special - Costi was a particular star! The food is 5 star quality throughout the day, form Breakfast; which always had a large selection of top quality food and drink, through to the main restaurant menu and food which is simply exceptional, in presentation and taste! The hotel is historically opulent, but mixed with modern luxuries and fittings. Truly stunning - If we come back to Venice, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else! Nothing

We stayed for my wifes 50th birthday in Venice and the hotel made every effort to make sure our stay was welcoming. I highly reccomend this hotel if you are coming to Venice. • Morgan (7/5): Convenient and comfortable first class hotel at a reasonable price - On a canal just off the main tourist thoroughfares, it was well placed, but also peaceful. We had a large, elegant room with balcony. The room was quiet - we not disturb by any other residents. Everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet held a very wide variety of all manner of food - fruit, salad, fish, breads, meats, cheeses. The food was if a high standard. We had a little difficulty communicating in English with many of the staff - perhaps we should have spoken more succinctly. The retro shower mixing taps look good, but take some getting used to. Some of the modern lighting tech was a little irritating for older people like ourselves. A printed room and terrace menu would have been nice, rather than having to access over the tv screen

Die Mitarbeiter waren aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und haben mit ihrer Gastfreundschaft einen durchweg positiven Eindruck hinterlassen. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön und stilvoll, passend zum venezianischen Ambiente eingerichtet. Sie waren stets sauber, und Wasser, Tee sowie Kaffee standen jederzeit zur Verfügung. Auch das großzügige Badezimmer war sehr gepflegt. Das Bett war äußerst bequem, sodass ich sehr gut schlafen konnte. Das Frühstück war für mich leider eine große Enttäuschung. Gerade in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel hätte ich ein deutlich höheres Niveau erwartet. Dass Eierspeisen lediglich einzeln aus der Karte bestellt werden können und darüber hinaus extra berechnet werden, empfand ich bereits als unangemessen. Umso enttäuschender war es, dass diese dann auch noch kalt serviert wurden. Auch das Buffet konnte den Anspruch in keiner Weise erfüllen – die Auswahl war äußerst begrenzt, wenig kreativ und wirkte insgesamt lieblos zusammengestellt. Es entstand der Eindruck, dass hier lediglich ein Mindeststandard erfüllt werden sollte, anstatt den Gästen ein wirklich hochwertiges Frühstückserlebnis zu bieten. Für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel in Venedig blieb das Frühstück somit deutlich hinter meinen Erwartungen zurück. Es tut mir leid, dies so deutlich formulieren zu müssen, aber meine Enttäuschung ist entsprechend groß.

The location is ideal — within walking distance of the train station and only about 5 minutes from the main attractions, yet peacefully situated away from the crowds and noise. This balance made a big difference in our overall experience. The hotel itself is truly special. Staying in a beautifully restored historic palace while enjoying all modern comforts made our visit feel unique and memorable. Breakfast was excellent, with high-quality options and a lovely atmosphere. The highlight of our stay, however, was the staff — especially the reception team. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and offered great recommendations. Overall, a beautiful and memorable experience. We would definitely come back.

It is not far but not super close to the main attractions. You have not far to boat stations though (commercial way of travelling) -It´s an historical building so the floor can be a bit hard (beautiful) if you have joint issues

Und die Blumen, die am Weltfrauentag an alle weiblichen Hotelgäste verteilt wurden, waren eine sehr aufmerksame Geste, die dem Aufenthalt wirklich das i-Tüpfelchen verliehen hat. Auch kulinarisch hat alles überzeugt – das Essen war hervorragend. Die Lage ist ebenfalls ideal: nur etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuss vom Bahnhof Venedig entfernt. Und das Personal? Durchweg top. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Es gibt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat.

• NAKAH (10/5): - プラリネチョコが用意されていて大変美味しかったです。illyのエスプレッソマシンがあり初めて使いました。お部屋もゴージャスでテンション上がりました。生花の胡蝶蘭が至る所に飾られていました。 朝食はスパークリングワインやワインがあり肉厚のスモークサーモンとチーズに合いました。 チョイスできる料理があり、パンケーキを選びました。フルーツとカスタードがついていて、パンケーキはモチモチで甘くなくてとっても美味しかったです。 エトロのシャンプーリンスやボディローションがありました。 バスタブとハブラシがなかったです。

They upgraded us for free to a crazy suite including our tenth wedding anniversary and gave us an amazing feeling and it was just great fun! Highly recommend the place Honestly, I have nothing bad to say... it was just perfect.

• Calogero (10/5): Great hotel and great location, would recommend. - The location is great if you need to access the train station and taxi services. The hotel is quite impressive and clean inside. Giuseppe was amazing and a great help, always friendly and happy. We also got a free upgrade. The restaurant staff didn't give us the breakfast menu on any of the days we stayed here. The pancakes weren't fresh and looked like they were out of a packet? Some staff can be grumpy, but most of them were great. The shower works but is a puzzle on how to get the correct temperature and flow?

• Katie (10/5): We visited Venice the end of Jan, it was amazing, still very busy though - This hotel is totally beautiful, The staff upgraded our room to a suite and it was incredible, all toiletries are supplied, all designer shampoos, conditioners even toothpaste and brushes. There are even hair straighteners. Handwritten welcoming letters. Everything is gold, including the fire extinguishers. The location is amazing, right on the canal, surrounded by amazing restaurants and 20min walk to Marks square. Breakfast is superb, every conceivable fruit, yoghurts, cold meat, cheeses, nuts, champagne followed by a cooked breakfast from the menu. Staff can’t do enough to please you, they even crushed fresh ginger for us when we asked for ginger ale which was unavailable at that time. If you want to stay somewhere really special this is the place to book. We came the end of Jan when the carnival was just starting, the streets were lined with lights, music, people all dressed in gowns and masks, the atmosphere was incredible Everything is first class here, there isn’t one thing to dislike about this hotel. If you have mobility problems I recommend getting a water taxi directly outside, it’s so much fun, I actually enjoyed it better than the gondola ride, it’s like a limousine on water, the glass roof opens so you can see Venice in style, you can even stand up and look out the open roof, it’s really classy and special. It costs around 80euros to get to the square but it’s fabulous. We landed at Marco Polo airport and took the AVTO just outside the airport to Roma Plaza direct, it costs 18euros return and the hotel is a ten min walk from here, over the main bridge which has a lot of steps and could be difficult for someone with mobility problems, especially dragging a suitcase to. After experiencing the water taxi we booked this back from the hotel to the airport, it’s really fast on the open water and for the fun factor alone it’s worth the 150 euros. Watch out for street sellers, mainly from Africa ,they coheres you in conversation and shake your hand and whilst they have your hand they tie a cheap bracelet on your wrist and demand 20eros or give you a cheap belt.
• F1488PHsama (10/5): Absolutely brilliant - We had an amazing stay at Ca’ Bonfadini. The hotel is beautiful and full of character, with a really calm and elegant atmosphere. Our room was spotless, very comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always happy to give recommendations or help with anything we asked. The location was great too — easy to get around Venice but still quiet and relaxing. Overall, it felt like a special place to stay and really added to our Venice trip. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

Everything is gold here, even the fire extinguishers , you are made to feel so special by every member of staff. Our room was upgraded to a suite, wow, it was stunning, there was even gold hair straighteners in the drawer, All designer toiletries are supplied, you don’t need to bring anything including your toothbrush. Hand written notes welcomed us sealed with a wax stamp. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they even crushed fresh ginger for us when we asked for a ginger ale. The breakfast is totally superb, the variety of fruits, yoghurts, nuts, cold meats and cheeses and cereals are on offer before you even order your hot food. You are also directly overlooking the grand canal, it’s breathtaking. I would also recommend getting a water taxi, you can walk to marks square in about 20mins, but it’s such fun if you want a really special experience-they are like limousines on water. The glass roof open and you can stand up and really experience Venice properly and in style -if you take one to the airport from this hotel and you love speed it’s definitely worth the £150 euros. Its great fun. This hotel is a must if you want luxury and to experience something extra special. It’s truly sensational. The mask carnival was on when we arrived and they were filming bridgerton, everyone is wearing masks or in full costumes, there is such a great atmosphere with music, stalls and lights. Be careful of the hustlers, they befriend you, shake your hand and once your hand is in there’s they put a rope bracelet on you and demand 20 euros, it’s the same with roses, don’t take one unless you want to pay over and above for it

• Barry (10/5): A beautiful place to stay in a beautiful city. - About 30 minutes walk from St. Mark's square, but a really nice walk through streets filled with cafes and shops and beautiful architecture. Beautiful building, superb rooms. A real experience to stay there. Downstairs doesn't really have a lobby to sit in. More of a business centre. But the hotel is really beautiful and that's a very minor complaint about a really great place.

Frühstücksraum karg und kalt, kein schönes Restaurant. Extra teures Zimmer mit Lagunenblick ein frustrierender Flopp, da davor Bauarbeiten und lärmige Boote.
