- Victoria (10/5): - Over all I loved the villas . They definitely have a very cabiny feel so they aren’t brand new and black and white and modern however they were very clean. I also just really loved that there was 2 BATHROOMS! I have a family of 6 and we can’t all share 1 bathroom haha! We will be back for sure! I also really enjoyed that they had games and movies :) My one downside was that they are not 100% level and I felt like on the edges it leaned a bit more than I would have expected . I was nervous at first but it still feels very structurally sound .
- Brandon (8/5): - Came here with family for a wedding. I like today there are mostly positives with a few negatives in our stay. I will start with my positives and then my 3 negatives which I'd say one negative the location may or may not been aware of so giving benefit of the doubt. First positives. Very clean up on arrival Great and fast wifi connection Satellite TV Stayed cool and heated when needed Provided coffee pot along with dishwasher tabs and bathroom soap and other toiletries Quit location Nice having a fridge and stove if needed Negatives Master bathroom tub did not drain properly. With short time standing in water. This is the one location may not be aware of and left on comment card The big negative for me and is subjective is the mattress. Having back issues I felt as well as all the people with me is that the mattresses were bad. Jokingly we said it felt like they were from the 90s. Just all coil and no support. Woke up each morning in back pain. I feel a mattress upgrade is warranted. My final negative is the parking. There is a sign about how to park however no one follows it in my opinion. We got back one night and there was barely any opening along with a big truck with a huge trailer taking up most the space and area. Better communication on parking I think could be warranted. Over all the stay was pleasant beside a few of my negative. I however would stay again if I needed to.

- Jenna (8/5): - The villa was a really cool and unique place to stay. It was cozy and well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed and was a nice bonus. Pet friendly option was great for our family. My only complaints are that our villa (#14) could use some general maintenance. The deck had some loose boards etc, the shower in the main bedroom didn’t drain, the tv’s were old and mostly useless as well as the tv in the main bedroom didn’t have any remotes. In fairness we weren’t there to watch tv but would have liked the option in our down time. Perhaps a deep clean of the unit would be a good idea (higher up areas). The staff was very friendly and the grounds were nice. All in all we would happily stay there again and check out one of the units on the other side of the road with a better view. I would recommend this place!

- Christopher (10/5): Family Trip - We have been visiting Duluth and the North Shore for about 20 years and this stay was wonderful. It was perfect for my family of 4. We had our own rooms and a separate living room, full kitchen, 2 bathrooms. It was like your own home away from home. The property itself was quiet (except for the lawn mower at 8 a.m. one morning). It was a nice stay away from the busyness of town, but a short, beautiful drive to the attractions. Would definitely recommend!

- Alison (10/5): - The Villa was great! We stayed here for our wedding and couldn’t have picked a better stop! It was so nice and clean and very spacious. There are great trails right out the back door. Large front and back porch along with a screened in porch. Would definitely stay again! Staff are nice & very communicative.
- Troy (8/5): fair value. - The villas are getting old, they have done a nice job of updating the kitchen and baths, but most of the rest is vintage 1970's. the decks have weiht limits of 6 people which sounds scary, and the emergency exit deck is ready to fall off the building. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again, but they are a bit on the pricey end for what you get.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth the price you pay-wont let me put pics - I rented out the "Loony Bin" villa. Number 10 and gave the master suite with Jacuzzi tub to my daughter as we were celebrating her sweet 16th and I wanted her to have a great view and a great time. At first it looks decent. However,upon further looking there was no porch lights that worked besides the rope lights on the deck in the front. I also have a disabled child which villa management was aware of. It was slippery and icy down our path to the deck into the villa and with no lights it was a struggle slipping and trying to avoid the ice. When you get to the top of the deck the first parts of the boards dipped inwards causing you to almost slip and fall. Walking in it looks nice. You can tell that in the kitchen/dining area it's unlevel. The master suites door would not stay shut. The slightest breeze of air or touch opens the door. Which means little to no privacy. Also no lock on door. Chain lock was busted on our main entrance door. Not sure of what substance or residue to call that's in the bathrooms.Both bathrooms had hair in shower and gross stuff by the showers. Back doors look unfinished with no trims covering the bottom. The electrical switches have paint covered over on half of them. The shower I used in the bedroom felt like you'd be falling through the floor if you stepped there or stood there too long. Dish towel to dry dishes has orange residue still on it. Let management know about issues we had and how unpleasant it was and got ZERO compensation for any.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Cool and convenient!! - Super-fun and unique house to spend a skiing long weekend! You're in a small area of woods, and you're by the slopes, and you can see the city view at night -- all of those together! Can't beat the ski-in, ski-out setup, the only such setup at Spirit Mountain. Finally, staff were uncommonly-helpful and friendly when I initially made a booking mistake and got back to me at 7 am with a corrected booking.

- Rachel (10/5): - We wanted a nice relaxing time for it short weekend. My husband and I chose this place, and am I ever we did. Very cozy and simple, just the way we like it. We got to have a nice fire going late at night; we were lucky to be the only ones in our area. The only thing I wish I’d that I wish we could check out later than 11am. I asked for a late checkout when I booked but didn’t get a response. Overall, very happy. We will be back.

- Anonymous (6/5): - Pros-This property is in a beautiful location and we stayed in Villa 15... Robins Nest.. we had a private balcony facing the woods and didn’t see neighbors. All other villas you will see neighbors in both direction balcony and back door. The check in process was great and fast. The villa was beautiful decorated. The kitchen had everything we would need to cook. They provided dish soup and a sponge which was nice. Cons- Had to take out our own garbage to the dumpsters, separate all recyclables and the worst part is I am not sure but there was a ton & I mean a ton of dog hair all over the place. I am not sure if the cleaning people deep clean the villas after a pets stay but we were pretty disappointed that our villa had precious pet hair all over the place. It was on the sofas, beds and all over the carpet.
- Chance (10/5): Great stay with a great view! - My girlfriend and I stayed at Mountain Villas for a wedding event that was taking place in the Canal Park area. We weren’t sure about our distance of travel to and from the Villas it ended up not being a big deal all. Our Villa was comfy and cozy and overrall clean and comfortable. Great view from bedroom and deck. Would stay again.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Serenity Now! - My husband loved this stay as it was wooded and so quiet with no children running up and down the hallways as we had our own little "tree-house." I found it a little too quiet I suppose and wished we had stayed where I would have more of a city view or lake view. I found the towels and washcloths in need of bleach and/or fabric softener. I would only stay again if I had more friends and family with us in the other buildings.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Relax in the lap of nature - Stayed at Ridgewood (Villa # 3) -- the views were awesome! One bedroom looked out to Lake Superior and the woods around, caught a sunrise from bed, did yoga out on the porch -- awesome place to relax your body and soul. There are two bathrooms, one of them has a huge tub with controls for aromatherapy etc, it tells you the temperature of the water as well which was very helpful. One thing to bear in mind is that if you intend to use the bathtub, then carry your own bath soap/salts etc -- the villa management doesn't provide those. Kitchen has all the utensils that you may want to use, however yo need to carry all kitchen ingredients yourself (including sugar and salt) which we thankfully did. There are hiking trails all around!! All in all, it was a fantastic stay and we will certainly come back again!
