- London (10/5): Excellent guest house in the heart of Aviemore! - Adorable guest house in the heart of Aviemore! Mark made us feel right at home from the moment we checked in. The rooms have everything you need while being just a short walk from the main strip in Aviemore (definitely check out the Winking Owl while you're there!). Available parking was a huge plus, and Mark and team do a stellar job with breakfast in the morning! Nothing!

He’d thought of everything and was very helpful when I had a question. The breakfast room was nice and choice and service were excellent. Breakfast very tasty Our room & bathroom were small but comfortable and well equipped Location was perfect for local facilities and places to eat and drink just a very short walk away. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. The bed in our room was too soft and bouncy but that’s just preference. It may be perfect for someone else

- Michelle (10/5): 5 star guest house - The staff were welcoming, the room was decorated tastefully, and very clean. The ensuite was a decent size with fantastic shower. The breakfast was also great. Top quality and lots to choose from, and was cooked fresh. A few minutes walking distance down the main street to shops, restaurants etc and only 20 minutes drive to Caingorm Mountain. Perfect location for exploring the area. We'll be back in summer, I'm sure! Could do with a bigger mirror in the bedroom. It's a family room, so when someone is in the ensuite, it's difficult to get sorted without the use of a decent sized mirror. Better fitting fitted sheet on the double bed. Slipped off through the night. Very minor things that didn't affect our stay at all.

- Janet Cooper (8/5): - Very good location, close to Aviemore centre, shops and restaurants. There is plenty of parking at the front of the building. Lovely accommodation with a comfortable guest lounge. Our bedroom was quite small with limited space, but very comfortable. Only there one night so not too big an issue for us. En-suite bathroom very clean. Breakfast (apart from the weak tea - but I'm very picky about tea) was lovely. This was the only B&B of our 4 night stay in Scotland. The others were 3/4 star hotels & this accommodation was around 25% more expensive than any of them. In my opinion, not good value for money in comparison.

There was a very bright floodlight lighting the front of the guest house (right in our window) running until midnight which made our room quite light.

- Shelby (10/5): Wonderful place to stay near Cairngorms National Park - We had a lovely stay at Cairngorm Guest House! It's located on the main street in Aviemore, making it easily walkable to things in town. It was also a great jumping off point to activities in Cairngorms National Park. The Guest House was comfortable and had everything we needed, with lovely and helpful proprietors. The included breakfast each morning was wonderful, with fresh, home-cooked offerings. I would highly recommend Aviemore as a cute mountain-town alternative to larger Highlands hubs like Inverness, and Cairngorms Guest House was a wonderful place to stay for a fair price. No complaints!

The hotel room was comfortable and clean. Right in the centre of Aviemore and they’ve decent spaces for parking. Perfect location especially if you’re bot travelling with a car. - Beatrice (10/5): Great short break in Aviemore. - I had requested a quiet room and was pleased to be allocated one in the new extension to the rear of the property away from the road. Although small, the room was nicely furnished and still looked very new. Breakfast was really nicely cooked and we appreciated the fresh fruit and Greek yoghurt as well. The location was very convenient and central so all in all it was a great stay and we would happily come again. Although comfortable, the bed was squeaky.

- Andrea Barras (9/5): Lovely short stay, excellent location and welcoming staff - we felt very comfortable here. - Good breakfast, our family room was great, useful that it had access to the carpark and that the next door lounge could be closed off if needed (we didnt really need to but nice just in case) - Mark checked us in and was particularly friendly and helpful. Great to be able to walk into the town centre easily and safely from here. This is pretty minor: the fire doors + room doors near our second room (twin, ground floor, directly next to the fire doors and close to alternative/back entrance) were a tiny bit noisy at night which kept my sister and one of my kids up for a bit.
- Amy (8/5): We'd love to come back! - Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of choice - lighter, fruity options, porridge, eggs in various forms right through to the full fry up, veggie or meaty. The host was very welcoming and informative and staff were helpful and friendly. The accomodation was uncluttered, cosy and clean. Only a small thing - my breakfast coffee could have been a lot stronger!
